CircuLight is born, Lamp's technological upgrade service.

Advancing towards a truly circular economy involves generating less waste by extending the lifespan of our products and reusing those we already have. With this vision, Circulight is born, the innovative Technological Updating Service of Lamp, a leading company dedicated to the design and production of advanced technical lighting. This service aims to transform the lighting industry by promoting the renovation and technological updating of luminaires installed in buildings or other facilities.

“Through this new service,” comments David Testar, Lamp’s Director of Operations and member of the sustainability committee, “we achieve an increase in the lifespan of luminaires, by extending their use phase through the prism of Life Cycle Analysis, providing more resilient lighting solutions.” The updating of lighting technology is faster, less noisy, and cleaner than uninstalling and installing new lighting systems. Installation times are reduced by 20-30%, and the lighting quality and user well-being are improved by incorporating the latest technological advances.

Among its main benefits, this new technological updating service results in an economic saving of between 15-30% compared to the purchase and installation of new luminaires, as well as an improvement in energy efficiency, saving over 50% in costs. In terms of sustainability, the environmental footprint of the building is minimized by avoiding waste generation and reducing CO2 emissions, both through energy consumption reduction and the reuse and updating of the installed product.

The scope and process of this new Lamp service includes evaluation, diagnosis, and proposal of optimal solution for the client; updating and maintenance, installation, commissioning, and certification. Each updating service would address the following milestones and phases:

Phase I: Evaluation and diagnosis

01 Audit and initial diagnosis of the current state of the installation

02 Viability project and environmental impact consultancy

Phase II: Updating and maintenance

03 Recovery of installed luminaires

04 Technical diagnosis to assess and define the intervention to be carried out

05 Maintenance and cleaning works

06 Development and manufacturing of Plug&Play modules (In-situ / In-House)

07 Quality testing, electrical and mechanical tests in the laboratory

08 Warranty extension certification

Phase III: Installation, commissioning, and certification

09 Delivery of materials and management of generated waste “in house”

10 Turnkey service (installation and commissioning)

An Uncooperative Screw and the Rain || Moko Epilogue

“Ugh.”

A man with greasy black hair stared down at his sketches. Nothing was coming out right, and his frustration was plastered over his face. He spun his pencil around in his hand, mimicking a character’s pattern from a popular anime.

As he placed the tip of the lead back onto the page, a blonde woman opened the door behind him and slipped inside, holding a stack of papers in her arms. A page slipped out and floated to the floor, causing her to stumble and drop the rest as she attempted to catch it. Sitting on the floor, she let out an elongated sigh.

“I did my best,” she announced, gathering the pages. “Moko hadn’t finished the narrative yet, so I had to come up with my own ending. And you know her… her stuff is filled with cliches I had to work around too. But, I… commend her massive improvements over the years we parted.”

The man scruffled his hair, grumbling to himself.

“Her art style is so hard to mimic, Kyouka.”

The woman cleared her throat, organizing the pages in their proper order. She paused for a moment, debating whether or not to speak.

“You know, she loved you, Minato. It was relatively obvious. You’re just stupid. In the end, I… probably… loved her more than I did you, hm?”

Kyouka set the papers down securely on a small table behind him and removed a journal from her messenger bag. She brushed her fingers over the cover of it and frowned, her eyes glossing over. She had a lot of regrets. Plenty of them. And this was one.

“I managed to convince them to let me separate the journals so everyone who cared about her could have one. I got you Fighter Writers, I hope that’s alright.” Kyouka set it down and stood to her feet. “Since my part of this is done, email me if you need any corrections. It was a nice reunion, but I’d like to go back to not seeing each other. You’re far too much stress for me. I left an iced coffee for you in the kitchen, if you still like those. I’ve sent you the link to the publisher, they’ve already agreed to send out her incomplete version of ‘Circulight,’ and it shouldn’t be too hard to pitch this.”

“…” Minato remained silent as Kyouka slipped out, not even offering a goodbye. He had plenty of his own regrets, and this was one of them. Once he heard the muffled open and close of the front door of the apartment, he put his pencil down and turned around, scooting up to the other table. He pulled the journal left behind and flipped it open to the first page.

A droplet collided with the paper. Ah, was he crying? Was the great brooding grump crying?
