Wow, 2019, what you did to me...

Rollercoaster. That's the perfect word for 2019. So bad, but so good. Started it with lots of plans, resolutions, lots of fears, insecurities, pain, and ending it with a smile. I didn't accomplish all the things I planned for this year, but I think that everything happens for a reason.

I'm not the same I was at the beginning of the year. I'm not where I wanna be yet, but I'm better. A better person, a better friend, a better woman.

You broke my heart, 2019. I suffered, I cried, I had moments when I thought I can't do it anymore. But here I am. Stronger, more determined, optimistic, still a dreamer 😊

You taught me a lot, 2019. You taught me that I should put myself first, because that's not selfish, it's necessary. I learned that no matter how hard life may seem, there's always light at the end of the tunnel. I finally realized how much I underestimated myself, and that I had no reason to do that because I'm a badass 👊🏻 I'm more confident, I'm proud of who I am and what I want. And that's so freaking satisfying 😉

I learned that I don't have to keep toxic people in my circle just because they've been part of my life for a long time. I learned to focus on myself and listen to my intuition.

I gained some amazing friends and I want to thank them for all the laughs we shared and for being here when I needed someone to talk to ❤️ (You know who you are, motherf*ckers 😎)

So thank you, 2019, you've been... a lot!

2020, I'm ready, show me what you got! 😉

On this day One year ago I snapped this picture. New Years' Eve 2018. I was in such a different place on all levels of my life professionally, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I had made it a mission that the holiday season to not be sad or feel overwhelmed with grief. It's funny how the mind and heart works. Looking back to then and seeing where I am now made me realize even more how much God has kept me. I gained peace in my professional life realizing that less can be more all at the same time. That was my word given @theboldexperience. A life-changing event hosted by @daynabolden God proved that to me again and again throughout the year and even now. My heart and faith were strengthened. A friendship that was more than that was lost early on in the year left me searching and wanting to quit at the same time. Navigating the pitfalls of being hurt, healing and determined to grow within put me in the position to be open to receive what my heart has always wanted. Someone who would love me in spite of my flaws. Giving me a safe place to be vulnerable without worry that it will be used against me in jest or in seriousness. I say all that to say that healing is possible, real love does exist, your gift is your pathway to more than just success. Success changes the way it looks so be open to that. Be open to the one you least expect more times than not it's where your greatest desire will be given. Cheers 2019 as tough as you were trying to take me out internally God was even bigger in showing up in my life in the .most unexpected ways. I think we can all agree that 2020 was a challenging, unique, interesting, and sometimes horrible year. But today, I'm choosing not to focus on the negatives of the last 52 weeks, focusing on the positives instead. Happy New Year Fam! 🎉 I know I’m already 2 days late but nevertheless I wish you all, all the luck and best wishes for this new year and new decade... Most of the times or should I say all the time our lives never go as we plan it to and then we are just stuck in a time where everything is just so off-with our work, our relationships, our health-both physical and mental, however we should always remind ourselves that we aren’t alone in this... there’s so many people out there who feel the same, who go through so much more than what we are going through at any given point in time... So, this year I plan on loving myself more... giving myself time and everything will eventually fall in place... I’ve already been in the UK for over three years and always wondered why I never felt like I was at home even though I’ve always been surrounded by such lovely people... but now I’ve decided even if I don’t feel like home here I’ll make it my home... though a part of my heart is still in Goa-I shall overcome that and love this place and make it home with whatever of my heart that is left...
