this boy is actually quite pleased

because for once he can take care of you and not the other way around without any complaints coming from you

so you both end up curled into each other under a blanket while watching the Frozen movies :((((((((

but the fun can only last for so long

and when your mouth starts feeling ‘funny’ jisung’s mind goes haywire

so you have at least 2 ice packs and a bag of frozen peas clutched against your cheek and you swear you’re about to die from frostbite rather than the weird feeling coming from your teeth

and then jisung wraps you in a mountain of blankets cuz ‘we can’t have you catching a cold now too’ as if sweating your ass off is gonna fight off the numbing cold on your face ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

but babie is confused a tad lot bit scared for both his and your life

and you’re kinda very dazed so comforting him isn’t really in your agenda

he probably worries within an inch of his life ヾ( ๑´д`๑)ﾂ

too afraid to let you fall asleep just in case

so every time you doz off sweet cutie jisung just kithes you (๑°꒵°๑)･*♡

and you wake up just to kiss back your cute boyfriend

Pesquisa descobre soro que pode ser utilizado no combate ao coronavírus

Cavalos apresentaram anticorpos dezenas de vezes mais potentes em relação aos produzidos por humanos

Uma pesquisa do Instituto Vital Brazil, vinculado à Secretaria de Estado de Saúde, em parceria com pesquisadores da Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) e da Fundação Oswaldo Cruz (Fiocruz), deu um passo importante no tratamento do vírus SARS-CoV-2, o novo coronavírus. Por meio de experimentos com cavalos, os cientistas descobriram que o plasma sanguíneo dos animais produz anticorpos de 20 a 50 vezes mais potentes dos que os produzidos por seres humanos. O resultado dos estudos foi a produção de um soro que, caso aprovado em testes clínicos, poderá ser utilizado no tratamento de pacientes infectados com o vírus. A descoberta será anunciada oficialmente nesta quinta-feira (13/08), em sessão científica, na Academia Nacional de Medicina.

Durante os experimentos, cinco cavalos foram inoculados com a proteína S recombinante do coronavírus – responsável por sua multiplicação nas células humanas – produzida pela Coppe/UFRJ em maio. Após 70 dias de observação, quatro dos cinco animais produziram anticorpos neutralizantes dezenas de vezes mais potentes no combate ao vírus do que os encontrados em pacientes infectados anteriormente. A partir do sangue dos cavalos, foi produzido o soro anti-SARS-CoV-2.

“O experimento com o plasma dos cavalos permite que o tratamento seja produzido em grande escala. Os animais não sofrem com o processo de retirada de plasma e, conseguimos, assim, uma grande quantidade de medicamento disponível”, explicou Adilson Stolet, presidente do Vital Brazil.

O possível tratamento por meio de soro é semelhante aos utilizados contra doenças como raiva, tétano e picadas de abelhas, cobras e outros animais peçonhentos como aranha e escorpiões. Em meio à espera mundial por uma vacina, o soro representa a possibilidade de um tratamento complementar efetivamente eficaz contra o coronavírus, um dos maiores desafios dos cientistas desde o início da pandemia da Covid-19, que já infectou mais de dois milhões e matou mais de 700 mil pessoas no mundo.

Agora, a equipe de pesquisadores espera obter autorização da Anvisa para iniciar o mais brevemente possível os testes clínicos com humanos, que devem ocorrer nos próximos meses, em parceria com o Instituto D’Or de Pesquisa e Ensino (IDOR). Além da apresentação prevista para esta quinta, Stolet e o presidente da Fundação Carlos Chagas Filho de Amparo à Pesquisa do Rio de Janeiro (Faperj), Jerson Lima Silva, anunciarão o depósito de patentes e a submissão da publicação científica dos resultados.

Participou do estudo um grupo grande de cientistas, incluindo Adilson Stolet, Luís Eduardo Ribeiro da Cunha e Marcelo Strauch (Instituto Vital Brazil); Leda Castilho e Renata Alvim (Coppe/UFRJ); Amilcar Tanuri, Andrea Cheble Oliveira, Andre Gomes, Victor Pereira e Carlos Dumard (UFRJ); Thiago Moreno Lopes (Fiocruz) e Herbert Guedes (UFRJ/Fiocruz).

A pesquisa contou com o apoio financeiro da Faperj, do Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq), da Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (Capes) e da Financiadora de Estudos e Projetos (Finep).

No tradicional restaurante Antiquarius, próximo de completar 40 anos no Leblon, o Menu de Outono fica disponível na Sugestão do Chef até o dia 15 de abril. Os novos pratos foram pensados para as temperaturas mais amenas dessa estação, com sugestões mais encorpadas servidas em tigelinhas. Entre as novidades que acabam de desembarcar na casa portuguesa está a Tigelinha de Lagostins à Cordòn Verde – lagostins cozidos com queijo roquefort e creme de espinafre, de entrada. Já entre os pratos principais, as estrelas da estação ficam por conta do Bacalhau com Natas – bacalhau desfiado com creme de natas, cebolas e batatas sauté –, e o Bife à Tasca – filé mignon servido com molho português, ovo frito em cima e batatas palito – típico da Terrinha.

Já para finalizar a experiência, a casa portuguesa também aposta no Pudim de Tapioca com Coco, uma das novidades na clássica carta de sobremesas.
