'samchon'. uncle. she's trying to say 'habiel samchon'. she's calling him 'uncle javier'. but she's so tiny she can't pronounce the words so she says 'ttamtton'. i'm gonna fucking cry

... okay but why did bk moon go and set up the most interesting (and heavily overpowered) character who was going to prosper the magentano kingdom into a whole ass empire and then proceed to basically never mention her again in crown prince sells medicine???
like I didn't even know she also had the fcking system and her own summon until I read the side story about her??? reading a sequel about her whole life story (and not just this small snapshot) would've been so fun!
seeing how lloyd, alicia, and javier guide her through becoming a ruler and getting to see them grow older as well would've been great! but nooo we have to skip 300 years into the future and get mr. sickest man on the planet instead- (no offense to rakiel. I do like him.)
... also this begs the question of. where did charlotte go after she passed? because clearly she achieved far more than enough to become some form of higher being like her parents right? but lloyd only mentions alicia being with him in heaven... did she choose to reincarnate?

I am sooo tempted to read the novel just so I can write a fic with Lloyd and Javier in a happy relationship with a mutual benefits agreement with Alicia and Silluria (who are of course also in a happy relationship) with the right characterizations.
honestly. that's such a fun dynamic. putting all of them in a happy polycule resolves so many issues at once and gives us such insane possibilities. i am now obsessed with this concept.
but also i'm bi so like. in my head. this is their arrangement.
lloyd and alicia get married so he can have the tax benefits of being the royal consort and she can get rid of the annoying people she needs to be married and have someone to make an heir with, but he still lives in the frontera estate and they see each other every weekend when alicia gets visitation rights to yongyong because they share custody of him. once charlotte is born, she alternates between spending two weeks in the palace, one with only alicia and the other with both alicia and lloyd, and then one at the frontera estate with only lloyd.
as for why javier and silurian get married it's mostly so she can also get rid of the people who think that if she's her father's heir then she should at least be married so she can have an heir of her own. and well they spend a reasonable amount of time together, when they meet in the capital while accompanying their respective lovers so. yeah why not. they have two babies, the eldest a namaran and the youngest an asrahan, who spent two weeks at the palace, one at the frontera estate and then visit their grandfather at namaran one week every two months.
all four of them are Stressing™ about all those trips and poor yongyong and ggoming get so much work out but they're committed to giving their kids the chance to get to experience everything they have to offer them. but also they run a tight schedule and trying to organize anything is a nightmare, they get the hang of it eventually but the first couple years were An Ordeal.
everyone in court pretends not to know about their arrangement but it's really hard when the royal consort only spends two weeks out of three at the palace, bringing and taking with him lady namaran's husband, while lady namaran lives almost permanently in the capital with the queen.
that and also all three kids call alicia 'mom', silurian 'mama', lloyd 'appa' and javier 'papa'. so like. it's an open secret.
the facts its rumored that more often than not lord frontera and sir asrahan will share a room, while the queen and lady namaran have rooms next to one another, that may or may not have a secret passage between them and that more than once all four of them have been seen going in and out of the royal chamber is really not anyone's business either.
i do want to say this does not solve the fact that lloyd emphatically did not want to marry into a position of power and that silurian had a whole arc about not needing to marry, but. it is much funnier and gayer than the original ending so i'm a lot happier ajksdhjkahfkjds
of course this is just. what came out of my brain once you oppened that possibility ajskdhjkafds

Do the Fronteras after finding out consider Suho as another one of their son? Also, I feel like the Fronteras doesn't exist anymore in the sequel I mean why not become peace makers between the two of their cousins? Heck do the Fronteras still even have connections to the Sultan's family?
Also, I would like to know the following: what this telepathy between Javier and Lloyd? Lloyd doesn't have insomnia anymore right since his body is Suho's? Also, does Javier keep asking Lloyd lullabies, and not ask for a recording? Heck, he could have also used that paper he read when he fell asleep by himself?

in ch 333 we get to see arcos' feelings about it and god. it's so sweet.
I want to tell you everything, Lloyd… But I have no clue as to how I should talk to or ask you about this. I already see you as my precious son. I am grateful for you.
Count Frontera raised his gaze to the sky once more. He was at a loss for words. The sky was incredibly dark and blue, filled with light from the moon and stars, clouds, and shooting stars. He sighed as his heart filled with uncertainty and regret. Unable to distract his mind he simply reached out and tightly grabbed Lloyd’s hand. He hoped his unspoken feelings and thoughts would be conveyed to his son: Whatever you do, whatever you hide, you are my precious son that I will always be thankful for. In the cold and cozy night, they affectionately held each other’s hand.
It was a stroll between a father and son or two people who hoped that would become true someday.
then later on ch 347 we get another glimpse of their thoughts about him
"I was curious. I felt suffocated as it was. So, I wanted to ask if Lloyd was doing well. You know, since an angel cannot lie." She felt him tighten her hand. "But I could not dare say my question out loud. It seemed like I would be wronging the current Lloyd. I feel too indebted to that child to do so."
"You made the right choice..." His voice cracked.
"I did, right?"
"Yes..." he said, lacking certainty.
This time, she wrapped his hand. "He will tell us when the time comes, right? The boy has a kind heart."
"Yes... I believe he will."
"I know it. He is a good kid."
Her eyes grew red and teary again while his nose reddened. Clutching each other, the two decided to put their trust in Lloyd and wait for him to eventually tell the truth. They hoped for the best while trying to put on a smile.
He is a kind... dutiful... and hardworking kid...
they already know he's not who he says he is but they trust and love him enough to wait for him the tell them the truth himself.
and finally in ch 402 (my beloathed </3) we don't get to see much of them interacting but we do get a little snippet of how their relationship developed and it's really sweet.
lloyd does start calling them father and mother, even if he's a little awkward and embarrassed about it at first, and they both reassure him that it doesn't matter that he's not their biological kid, they've thought of him as a son for a long time. which. i will sob about it extensively thanks for asking.
as for whether the fronteras exists in the sequel,,,, i really do not know. i feel like they would've been mentioned already considering how far into the novel we already are but at the same time it feels weird for it to not even mention them! like! even if lloyd didn't perpetuate the family name as the eldest son because charlotte was a magentano, then at least julian's kid should've carried on with it!
like you said, if they were around they'd be a pretty damn powerful family what with lloyd marrying the queen of magentano and julian marrying the princess of asfahan and the infrastructure lloyd left them with. they should be active participants of the court or at least present, unlike the asrahans that have been pretty much exiled to the borders. and if it eventually died off for some reason you'd think that would be mentioned if only in passing. but the complete absence of it or the estate feels weird unless it's building up suspense for an eventual reveal.
i don't know! it's weird! i wanna see where this is going!
as for the telepathy,,, the wording is a bit unclear but it's implied the absolutes (?) of every realm get to a mental channel to talk to each other. at least while they're in vicinity to each other. javier and lloyd use it right after rakiel ripped both of them off and berkis can listen to them talk on it, but it's implied the demon king can't hear them and he's on the same level as them, so... maybe it's only when they're in the same realm? again, kinda hard to know right now.
and no, suho does not have insomnia anymore, he lost his circles and his manaheart so unless he upgrades again, he's nowhere at the level of a swordmaster and so he doesn't experience swordmaster syndrome.
and yes, javier does keep asking lloyd to sing him lullabies. it's not mentioned whether he needs them anymore, probably not, as you mentioned he fell asleep on his own even as a human while reading outloud to lloyd but i suspect he just likes falling asleep quickly while hearing lloyd talk <3

ok i gotta ask how fucking strong are javier's hair genes. like. what kind of genetic lottery are we talking here.
because. either it's a lot like blonde hair in that both parents have to have the same hair color to pass it down and is therefore a pretty rare color, which would explain why he's the only person we see in tged that has that hair color.
or it's like red hair, in that very few people have the gene but it's dominant over certain other colors (according to what i read), meaning you can have only one parent with that hair color but as long as the other parent has a less dominant color it'll be mostly likely passed down to the child. which would explain how on the holy hell rakiel (and pretty sure the asrahans too) got to have javier's silver hair despite being 300 years down the line.
i am definitely leaning more towards the second theory, because otherwise it makes no sense why silver hair is both a rare color but still able to be passed down generations down the line. it would also mean that javier's silver hair genes are stronger than alicia's red hair genes.
actually let's talk about alicia's red hair genes. because what the fuck is this.
let's ignore how fucking adorable charlotte is for a second i know it's hard but focus this is important.
how in all that is logical did she turn out to be blonde. this makes no sense. suho's dark brown hair genes should by all accounts have been dominant over alicia's. he's korean he almost certainly doesn't carry the genes to produce a blond kid and even if he did red is still dominant over blond, so if anything charlotte should've been a redhead like her mother. or, y'know, have brown hair and eyes like her father. as should've been logical.
but okay. okay. let's say that alicia was a fluke and carried mostly blond genes (not unusual in a vaguely european setting) and by some reason suho did too (way more unusual for a korean guy but not impossible). fine, then charlotte is a blonde now. let's just. let's leave it at that.
it's still a fucking miracle that rakiel got to have javier's silver hair.
listen. let's make a hierarchy here. we know for a fact that in this universe most people also have brown and dark hair the same way we do irl so presumably dark hair genes are still dominant over all other colors. if we follow the same logic then it goes brown -> red -> blonde in the dominant escale. and i propose silver is less dominant than brown but around the same as red. like there's always your exceptions but it mostly follows that rule.
because otherwise you would have way more silver haired people running around and that's clearly not the case.
so let's pretend charlotte's hair color makes a modicum of sense and she has mostly blonde genes. she would then have to marry another light haired person and have a light haired child who could then marry a silver haired descendant of javier that could pass on the dominant silver hair gene onto the magentano family. and then every single heir to the throne would've have to marry only people who were blond and/or carried enough light haired genes for the silver hair to be the dominant gene, at least for enough generations to get to rakiel who gets the silver hair.
like. fucking miracle.
and that's not even getting into the fact that javier married silurian who has brown hair but at least is light enough that we can assume she probably has enough light hair genes for the silver hair to have a chance at coming on top. at least in the novel that is.
SO. here's my proposal.
i believe javier's silver hair is rare, probably more so than red hair, and the reason it isn't as common is because it's a less dominant gene than brown which is the most common hair color. but it hasn't gone out of complete existence because it's more dominant than blonde, which is a more common hair color to have despite being the less dominant gene overall. javier is probably the result of his parents both being silver haired or one of them having silver hair and the other being either blond or redheaded, but most likely the former just for probability's sake.
he then went on to marry silurian, who has light brown hair and who we don't know what color of hair her parents had (i am not acknowledging the webcomic, that is not count namaran he doesn't even simp for lloyd-) so we can probably assume at least one of them was blond, maybe even both and she just happened to receive a brown hair gene from her grandparents. so she has enough blond genes for javier's silver hair to pass down their children who then go on to marry only light-haired people and have silver haired descendants, one of which marries into the magentano family, specifically to the heir to the throne who is presumably also light-haired.
and so the silver hair gene is in the magentano family now too. after that i'm not too sure how it goes, i would like to see asterion and theodore first before assuming anything, but i'm almost certain asterion must also have silver hair which would mean one of his parents must be light-haired themselves. and i would love to see rakiel's mom too.
i don't think silver hair could do the same as red hair does, in that sometimes a parent with brown hair goes onto having a redheaded child. mostly because the way that works is that (i think) the parents are themselves redheaded but because eumelanin (how dark hair is) is expressed more in hair than the phenomelanin (red pigment) their hair gets so dark any of the reddish hue is masked by a stronger brown or black pigment.
which obviously wouldn't work with silver hair. or maybe it would and we just haven't seen it, maybe it manifests as a ashy brown or a dark grey, maybe some people are born with silver streaks on their hair and then when they have children with a light-haired partner their child gets full silver hair. i changed my mind that's a fun option actually.
either way! i am fascinated by the way silver hair works in this universe can you tell

i don't know why it just clicked for me but like,,, to most people lloyd frontera died when he was 28. like. only the people closest to him know he came back as kim suho, as far as everyone else knows one day he went off to fight something and never came back. it's insane when you think about everything he did and the effects he had from an outside perspective.
because! it was only three years! he started building stuff when he was 25 and then "died" when he was 28! and in only three years he changed the world of construction and architecture! in just three years he made such an impact that his name is still remembered 300 years later! can you imagine the essays he inspired? the books written about him? how many engineering nerd tears he must have caused? he was this bright, shining and painfully brief spot of history in the magentano empire. like i can just imagine a drunk architecture student crying as they babble about what a fucking shame it was that he died so young when he could've changed the entire world if he had just lived a little bit more. like lloyd frontera is that one sore spot of every history nerd interested in architecture and construction because he could've done so much if he hadn't died so young. he's the lorasia equivalent of the library of alexandria burning down. like everyone is so sure the world would've been so much more amazing if he'd only lived past 28.
and meanwhile no one really pays much attention to that brief paragraph in the history book dedicated to the consort of queen alicia magentano, mother of empress charlotte magentano, who's most interesting quality is that he somehow managed to make queen alicia fall in love with him and have grandmaster javier asrahan follow him loyally for the rest of his life ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

y'know what would make visconti's betrayal even more cruel and unfair? if the popular theory is right and the descendants of lloyd and javier that married were their grandchildren, that would've made it so the asrahan that married into the magentano family did so by marrying the second emperor. visconti is the third. that bastard betrayed one of his own parents' family. those would've been his own cousins. even if it was charlotte herself that married one of javier's kids, tho doubtful, that would've made it so visconti betrayed his own grandparent. like. what the hell.
and the marriage had to have been before visconti because considering the contempt and disgust the asrahans hold against the royal family even generations later i don't see them giving consent for one of their family to marry a magentano even closer to the betrayal. especially considering that none of the emperors after visconti revoked the mandate out of fear of reprisal either from the other noble families or from the asrahans themselves.
amazing the longer i think about this man the more i hate him lmao

about the sequel how comes it's more brought up that rakiel is a descendant of asrahan more often and only a bit on frontera? and the thing about asrahan loyalty issue on why they can't go against the royal family?
see i also don't know why that is! you'd think lloyd would be equally as mentioned, maybe more so considering he's the actual father of empress charlotte but! javier just comes up more often!
i actually believed for the longest time that people didn't know about lloyd being suho being charlotte's dad! cause rakiel just didn't mention it that often! if at all but i could be mistaken about that.
probably it's because the asrahan core method is so used by the imperial family that it's almost impossible to really forget about javier? it comes up way more often than lloyd's constructions so really his legacy is more readily available to think about
as for why the asrahan family doesn't go against the royal family. that's all on javier. literally the only thing stopping them from revolting and probably overthrowing the magentanos is that javier's last will was that they be 'the most reliable friends and allies to fronteras and magentanos'.
that was the only mission he left for them, his only will. and so the asrahan family endured the betrayal of the magentano family for generations despite their contempt for them.
i'm almost certain that hadn't it been for rakiel winning them over it would've been only a matter of time before a less filial descendant took over the family and decided enough was enough. and they would've almost certainly won.
visconti was right to fear the asrahan family, had they actually tried to rebel they would've easily overthrown the magentanos. but this bitch didn't realize that instead of betraying them and mortally crippling them he should've worked to gain their trust and loyalty. i've said it before but,, the asrahans were already loyal. even after being betrayed and humiliated they were still loyal!! imagine what they would've done for the royal family had it treated them like treasured friends and not potential enemies!!!
sorry i have a lot of feelings about this arc it gets to me lol

well! it's just that really! iirc we don't get told exactly what asrahan married which magentano. we just get told that rakiel is a descendant of both lloyd and javier by virtue of two of their descendants marrying each other. we don't get a time period or a generation or anything much really. (i may be wrong tho i read a mtl of cpsm so a lot of details could be escaping me)
but a lot of people believe that lloyd's daughter, charlotte, had children of her own and one of them, presumably the second emperor, married one of the grandchildren of javier. and that's how all the emperors from then on, including rakiel as crown prince, are descendants of lloyd and javier.
personally i also think that's the more likely option, but i wouldn't be opposed to charlotte herself marrying one of javier's kids, that would be kinda cute. i would however be very skeptical if the marriage happened after visconti became emperor, for the reasons mentioned in this post. i just don't see it happening. so imo it had to have been either charlotte or the second emperor marrying an asrahan.
would've been very fucked up if it had been visconti himself that married an asrahan. like. man what an ass if so aasjdhskf
