[ Art • “Insomnia ll” by Jeffrey Batchelor ]
* * * *
“I do believe in an everyday sort of magic - the inexplicable connectedness we sometimes experience with places, people, works of art and the like; the eerie appropriateness of moments of synchronicity; the whispered voice, the hidden presence, when we think we're alone.”

mcytblr confessions keeps refusing to hear these people out goddamn stop shooting them down before you even post the anon. anyway yeah while it's not as rpf as like. septiplier rpf, it's certainly not as c-not-cc as things like empires. it's in the grey area AND THAT IS OKAY RPF IS OKAY. rendog just spent like five consecutive episodes just talking about his irl life and you're telling me his hermitcraft series is 100% a character and 0% the real guy chillin in minecraft? come on. hear these people out some time guys. no the moon didn't actually crash into charles batchelor but he damn sure didn't find an in-universe explanation for where he got the ideas for midnight alley from, he just straight up told us it came from irl where he did irl things that tie into hermitcraft. if the name of redscape can be partially pulled from an irl-hermits audible ad then rpf shipping can be okay. you have GOT to stop plugging your ears and going lalalalalala when people tell you there might be a little bit of real life inspiration to your hermit characterisation.

Grian agere headcanons. Headcanons of the character Grian, that is, not of the IRL man Charles Batchelor.
CG is usually Scar, but Mumbo helps out sometimes. Kind of like a fun uncle.
Regressed exclusively involuntarily at first, but slowly warmed to the idea of regressing voluntarily.
Little age of 3-5, but completely nonverbal.
Favourite activities are colouring and playing with lego.
Has a collection of plushes. Every colour of cats and parrots. He cuddles with them all simultaneously.
His favourite is a tropical fish plush called Mr. Fish.
He sometimes cuddles with Jellie.
Very cuddly. Will cling ceaselessly to nearest warm body upon regression.
Favourite snacks are battered chicken nuggies. Favourite drink is plain warm milk.
Despite being very energetic and animated while big, he’s very relaxed while little.
Sleepy.
Will figuratively melt if you pet his wings.
Scar was the first to find him regressed, in the mines in early season 7. Grian was overwhelmed and upset, and neither of them really understood it, but Scar took him home and looked after him. They went to Xisuma later to see if anything was wrong with his code, and X explained the situation to them. Grian was embarrassed at first, but Scar immediately volunteered to be his caregiver, and slowly Grian came to accept himself.

Here is a near-perfect example of textbook chromophobia: ‘The union of design and colour is necessary to beget painting just as is the union of man and woman to beget mankind, but design must maintain its preponderance over colour. Otherwise painting speeds to its ruin: it will fall through colour just as mankind fell through Eve.’1 This passage was written in the last decade of the nineteenth century by the appropriately named Charles Blanc, critic, colour theorist and sometime Director of the Arts in the 1848 Socialist government in France. It is interesting on a number of counts. Blanc identified colour with the ‘feminine’ in art; he asserted the need to subordinate colour to the ‘masculine’ discipline of design or drawing; he exhibited a reaction typical of phobics (a massive overvaluation of the power of that which he feared); and he said nothing particularly original. For Blanc, colour could not simply be ignored or dismissed; it was always there. It had to be contained and subordinated – like a woman. Colour was a permanent internal threat, an ever-present inner other which, if unleashed, would be the ruin of everything, the fall of culture. For our contemporary chromophobic architect, colour also represents a kind of ruination. Colour for him signifies the mythical savage state out of which civilization, the nobility of the human spirit, slowly, heroically, has lifted itself – but back into which it could always slide. For one, colour was coded in the feminine; for the other, it is coded in the primitive. For both, colour is a corruption, a lapse, a Fall.(p. 23-24)

Hello everyone, My name is Charles Joshua Padua Managuira, 21 years old and presently residing in Centro Abulug Cagayan. Currently, I am taking up a Batchelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies. For those who don't know yet, I love playing basketball and watching movies on Netflix during my spare time, and since when I was a child, I already won an A1 child in four consecutive years- which means a neat student and clean. More so, I am the Son of Thomas Managuira and Joselyne Managuira. I am also a dog lover and his name is Cham-cham. He is my stress reliever and as of the moment I missed him so much because he is at home and far from me.
As of the moment, I am studying hard and I'm on the step toward making my dreams come true. Five years from now, I see myself as a Professional Teacher who is teaching History, Geography, Politics, and Sociology. These are the subjects that I am into which are my favorite and history is very close to my heart since when I was a child. In that year, I am also traveling to different places because I also love traveling I see this as a reliever, fun, and enjoyment.
Today, I am doing a great job as I took up the best course for me which is the Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Social Studies. I hope the stars will align with me. Honestly, this is not the first choice course that I want to take but I hope that I will be having a bright and magical destination. I also hope that I will enjoy my teaching career in the future because this is my goal, to inspire young children with my stories and experiences in life on how I succeed and thrive more to be the best that I can be.
