some basics;
Kaine ‘Kai’ Floyd is originally from Hawaii. He is Samoan & Hawaiian.
Goes by the nickname K-9 in the NBA for his name and number.
Born August 19th
Most of his friends back home call him Kai.
There’s over 100 people in his immediate family. At this rate, he has lost count.
Oldest of 9 siblings.
Has the two most cutest, adorable baby boys with Lorena.
He’s a starting point guard for the LA Lakers
Attended UCLA for college where he got drafted out of. Never finished his degree.
Works with lots of children organizations and likes to give back to kids however he can.
Has endorsement deals with top athletic brands, drinks and his own branch/line off of everything he partakes in.

Her smile and laugh are everything. Making her blush and their size difference. Huge turn ons.
They have an on again, off again relationship since Evy. which he hates for him and his sons but knows he is an ass and they have to figure their shit out before having another kid.

Kaine’s Tutu and Tuma (what he calls his paternal grandparents) are the matriarchs of the family and own acres and acres of land. They are beyond rich and created their own compound beachside where they had custom homes built for their children.
Kaine’s paternal grandfather and father are part owners of ebay and billionaires.
Kaine’s mother, Maria came from nothing. She was a model in New York City when she met Kaine’s father, Elei - EJ for short who was there for business. Her parents didn’t approve of her running off to marry him, but it wasn’t a question in her eyes. It was what she wanted to do and thought he was going to provide her with a life of luxury that allowed her to continue to stay in the modeling world.
All of his brother’s and sisters carry on the Hawaiian tradition with strong, Hawaiian names that came from ‘dreams’.
Maria is always in town as often as she can to visit, stays usually at Kaine’s and brings some of his siblings. Her family is estranged and she is struggling with trying to reconnect with them after all of these years.

any game day rituals?
Game day, as a team we usually have a morning walk through. We go over scouting report, watch tape on team we’re playing, get some shots in and work on what we feel our biggest weakness was in the past game or last time we played that team. This helps determine what coaches and trainers we work with & what workout we do that day.
So for me, I wake up, grab a protein shake and a bar before heading to the center. Go morning walk through, then head home, shower, have breakfast and nap. Once I wake back up again, hang out with my family or face time them, use a couple muscle treatment machines & relaxers, sometimes get adjusted by my chiropractor or a massage done then go over what I have to in my head and on white boards by myself. Then I eat again, stretch, use bands and ball against wall technique to keep my reflexes on top notch always. The rest of my at home ‘rituals’ and ‘must do’s or don’ts’ are private and stuff I keep to myself.
hen, I shower once more, get changed in an outfit I prob picked out at some point during the day. Music is key that gets me pumped in the car ride back to Staples Center. My locker is filled with Tide and Evi, photos of my family, Samoan and Hawaiian symbols and I get wrapped up for the game by the trainers. I always bring a kid onto the court to have a pass around of the ball with from the stands and sign it for him or her before the shoot around starts.
Before going back into the locker room, I squirt just a bit of water onto the court to make my mark on it and represent my kids and their water names. During the opening up, I talk to Kobe and Gigi in my head, thank them for their inspiration in my head and what Kob taught me since I was a little kid.
Personal handshakes with each member of my team, kiss of the cross around my neck and time for tip off.

are you tempted on the road to get with all the girls that throw themselves at you?
You think I’m Tristan Thompson or something? Not all us NBA’ers or even professional athletes as a whole need to get laid on business trips & while on the road for away games. We don’t all gotta entertain ourselves with any women who tries to hit us up on socials or if on the rare occasion, we’re at a bar, out to eat or in the club. We do got standards, we do know how to handle ourselves. Single guys on the team can pay for certain dating and hook up apps if they want to and there’s requirements for those in regards to who’s even allowed on them, but more likely than not, they already know someone or have been already talking to them prior to being in a city so pre-planned a link up.
When I travel, I bring physical photos of my family to keep in my locker just like I have at the Staples Center. This way I can have them in hand, I can hold them, flip through them and look into their eyes knowing if I’m ripping myself for not sinkin’ a shot or making a pass, they’re still proud of me. I got stuff that’s always packed in my bags if we’re staying the night in a city or I’m traveling for other business reasons to feel like the boys & Lo are with me, I got their names & special, meaningful symbols all tatted on my body to see and feel over. They’re always incorporated in everything I do when on the road. Sorry this got hella long, but no, I ain’t tempted. It’s business as usual and then post game facetimes always when I don’t get to go home to ‘em or they can’t make the trip with me.

how many siblings do you have? do you want a big family
I’m the oldest of 8. I already got a big family and 2 under 2 is a lot. Like they’re at such important stages right now and are confused about where Lorena & I stand with our relationship. Kids pick up on your energy. I want as many kids as Lorena does and I only want kids with Lorena. You can call me boring or say shit about me, it don’t faze this guy a bit. I think we gotta normalize guys being in love and showing it. Lo filmed in South Africa, hosting Love Island which was on her bucket list. Me and the boys went twice to visit and be with her. Once planned, once we surprised her. Watching her be a mom to our two baby boys makes me fall in love with her even more and more every single day. Now she’s on a girl trip and I miss her, I get in my feels about not being able to show up and be in her bed or have her in what was once ours, but she deserves it. I just want our family with my girl. That’s it. And for a long time I was a dick head bout things, hard headed and wrong. No excuses. I just am gon’ fix my shit and get her back forever.

Dr. Pepper, Amazon, Nike, 2K Sports, Hulu and Gatorade. I’m in talks with different music companies for what headphones I’ll be wearing for pregame workouts & working on opening a franchise of healthy snack shack and customizable protein shakes at any time of day. Want to incorporate kids into it and it’s a project I wanna take on with someone else because theres at least 14 markets I want to get into

how many kids do you want?
As many as @lorenahqs wants. Her body, her choice. She knows her limits and also with having a 2 year old and now 6 month old, she probably wants some time to just enjoy these stages with the boys while we get to. Tide was only 9 months old when she got pregnant with Evian, plus we’re not fully back together yet. Maybe later in life we can adopt or re-visit having more kids, but I know she wants one more for now, more specifically a girl, and three’s been her limit from the start.

what was your first kiss like?
Awkward as hell. She had braces and I thought it was just a kiss, like a peck and she went in for the kill. Her tongue felt like a drooly dog on my face but I didn’t want to be mean and make her feel too bad, so I just pretended to fall over then told her I think I broke my arm so had to run home. She went and told her friends that her kiss were so good, they took my breath away and made me fall over in awe. I didn’t know that she told them that and totally didn’t know what they were talking about and ended up telling the truth. She hated me forever & wrote so in my year book every end of the school year to remind me so and to have a bad summer. But in college, she did slide in my DM’s and ask for a redo. I replied HAGS - have a great summer.
