Link in Bio DM tonight if you are a close friend of ZP, and want to hear the talk. ;-) Book Talk: Zatara Press - Andrew Fedynak May 11 @ 3pm - 4pm ET Join Andrew Fedynak of Zatara Press as we take a brief journey through a few of ZP’s art object photobooks, using them as a guide to deconstruct and demystify both the design and publishing process. We will also show how the “Artist’s Styled Photobook” utilizes intentional decisions for material choice, size, construction, image size/placement, and sequence, which impart important meanings that work in conjunction with the entire book as an object. Please join me for an artists' roundtable and opening reception for Artists as Teachers at the Center for Photographic Art (CPA) in Carmel, CA. I'm excited to be part of this exhibit, which recognizes the scholarship of local artist educators.

CPA as an organization honors the history of the renowned school of West Coast fine art photography by upholding regional traditions of mastery of craft, the concept of mentorship and mutual support, and the commitment to creating and appreciating uplifting and stimulating art. CPA traces its roots back to the illustrious  Friends of Photography, founded in 1967 by Ansel Adams, Cole and Brett Weston, Beaumont Newhall, and a group of like-minded photographers. I should also mention that Friends of Photography evolved from another important alliance know as f64. Today, the Center for Photographic Art remains the second oldest members’ photography gallery organization in the country.
