My poor uncle Ray standing in his “school bus” cast–nicknamed as such because of its distinct yellow color. He fell from a 15 ft. high deck and broke his leg in 3 places.

Some people have mentioned that they liked my casts from my Achilles tendon injury of 2022. So I posted quite a few on this link!

I like these kinds of shots! This is a very old one. Always nice when they have a well-worn cast.

An old but good pic! Those crutches look a bit flimsy though.

This is an old pic but a great one. It looks like he's got either a splint or a recycled cast strapped on. Those are often the best thing to put on a sprain, versus a hard cast.

So last summer I broke my left foot again. It was weird because it hurt really bad after it happened, then got better, and then got far worse. Cast on, crutches for about the first week, then walking normally for 5 weeks. I even went on vacation. But after many weeks of my better foot picking up the slack, it was sore and achy and I strapped on the CAM boot for a few days before finally getting the cast off.

A great old photo from about 2005! Not a high quality photo but in 2005 the good cameras were expensive still.

Being in a cast is no excuse for not working out! Get mama to help you out and be your spotter!

He's doing it right. When you have a leg cast, you should stay barefoot at home. It helps the healing process because it keeps your body temperature down even just slightly.

Simon tried to teach himself how to do complex skating maneuvers. It did not work, sadly!
