Sometimes you start with an idea and it goes well for a time and then, life happens. Regardless, my creative time and energy are worth me trying again.

Spring has been slow to emerge consistently in Virginia and we've had some very cool days and nights with sprinkles of warm weather. 🌡

i live in a city with one of the last lesbian bars in the country and I dont think the owner cares very much about preserving that. last time i went it was very queer, but a good chunk of attendants were straught and homophobic (including a straight guy who got into a fight with me for saying gay spaces should be gay spaces, and a straight girl who laughed when i asked her to dance).

and apparently the bar was just named the #1 dance spot in our city magazine. like...okay, great, even MORE straight people to come for such an 'interesting experience' and the bar away from the people who need it.

My next big show is with Carytown Artisan Market! Very excited for this weekend with over 125 follow artisans, food trucks, music, and a Sunday appearance by Santa. Come and join me for my first show at City Stadium on Saturday AND Sunday!

currently reading: snakes and snake hunting by carl kauffeld, which is stories about his field work looking for snakes in the US in the 1930s (it's so interesting but it's out of print and was published in 1957 so my goal is to work on scanning it and uploading it to libgen so people can read it) 🐍

currently watching: rewatching parks and rec for the third time 🛝

currently craving: a leopard print bikini and the beach with someone blonde and tall (a girl can dream!!) 🏖️

coffee or tea: i like tea better but i drink iced coffee more regularly bc it has more caffeine. my favorite tea is a blend called marie antoinette from carytown teas and it's a black tea with rose petals and dried apples 🌹

what an unbelievable show last night!!!

the cops tried to shut it down but we just kept it going anyway!! we had a ton of fun with everyone who came and hung out and we can’t wait to do it AGAIN next wednesday at plan 9 in carytown!

Carytown Teas

I made a special trip to Carytown Teas in Richmond after work this evening and I wasn’t disappointed! It is a cute little shop and the staff was so friendly and knowledgeable! Last month, I took a little day trip out to Carytown - a historic shopping district in the heart of Richmond, VA. I went for two reasons: 1) to see Carytown during the Christmas season and 2) to put my long ago abandoned digital camera to use.
