What is a fic you wrote with the angstiest ending

Idk what anyone else would say (though I’d love to know it) but for me my saddest ending is as strong as you were (tender you go).

What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Idk if it’s the happiest or if I could choose just one, but I was recently reminded of graceless. and I still really like that one.

Do you get hate on fics?

Every so often, either a commenter that blames for the state of spideychelle or an irondad person yelling at me to don’t like don’t read when I lightly criticize tropes (while also anonymous commenting on said fics they clearly don’t like make it make sense)

Never more annoying than a quick come back

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

Smut is the vehicle with which emotional history is built. Love sex as a storytelling device.

Do you write crossovers?

I wrote one but I’m not sure if that’s a true crossover vs fusion

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

A few times! Once by a collab partner that reuploaded it and then pretended they didn’t lmao and a few others by people who more or less ripped off exact words and phrases. No one owns a concept, I believe in fandom having 40 cakes. But I can count more than a few times when I’ve seen fics that had exact words and sentence structure AND plot identical to mine.

Have you ever had a fic translated?

Several!!! It’s very flattering

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I LOVE COLLABS

It’s half the work for twice the fun.

What's your all-time favorite ship?

Peter and MJ

What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

If I really don’t think I’ll finish, I delete it lmao. So anything is up has a chance!

What are your writing strengths?

Something I strive for and am told I succeed is in making characters feel like people; they exist outside of each other and outside of the plot. “Character study” is just a default for me.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I have none my writing is perfect 😌 lmao jk probably that I refuse to edit. First draft final draft.

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

Never have but think it’s interesting!

almost 73k!

3. What fandoms do you write for?

since i’ve taken up writing again i’ve only written for succession, but i also have one fic each for oitnb, agent carter, orphan black and warehouse 13

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

flirting over dead bodies (when else am i going to do it?) - post-finale carterwood, i still dream of rewatching agent carter so i can finish her sometimes 😔

beneath the underdog - post-finale shivlina, probably my magnum opus lmao, she’s very special to me <33

wouldn’t you love to love her - nichorello angst, takes place after nicki got sent to max, i’m scared of rereading it bc i wrote that eight years ago 😭😭

the cost of our desired wrongs - shivlina oneshot that takes place during ‘too much birthday’, karolina having a panic attack is something very personal to me <33

likeness has made them animal and shy - this is a weird Shiv study I tried to do through Roman’s POV, i abandoned it bc i didn’t like it that much and bc i posted it without having a strong concept for it to begin with. But the poem it was inspired by (The Twins by Karl Shapiro) is amazing!!

5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

i try to but i suck at commenting or replying :((( if i ever liked someone’s fic or if someone commented on one of mine and i didn’t comment or reply back just know i was very much losing my mind over it!!

that one warehouse 13 fic i did when i was 14 😭😭

i haven’t posted it on ao3 but maybe this prompt fill? idk most of them have endings that are not necessarily happy, but more so hopeful

8. Do you get hate on fics?

i never took it as hate, but that one WH13 fic got a couple of comments warning me to tag character deaths in my fics 😭😭 they were very nice about it, though (and i did very much kill off the MAIN character in it)

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

not really, i’ll do some suggestive bits here and there, but i mostly gloss over sex scenes bc i don’t have a good grasp of that vocabulary

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

it’s not really a crossover, but i recently wrote a shivlina severance au

nope, not that i know of

no, i’m very much still new to writing, so i honestly don’t even know how co-writing works 😭

oh god…i’ll just say shivlina bc i love writing for them, but there are A Lot of ships i’ve lost my mind over

idk?? maybe dialogue?? weird ass metaphors??

i give every character asthma bc they’re always sighing or taking deep breaths 😭😭

technically everything i am writing is in another language bc english isn’t my first language. but yeah, if it isn’t a language i know well enough i try to avoid it. I’ll insert words or phrases here and there, but I couldn’t trust doing full dialogue just by using a translating tool

What fandoms do you write for?

Pretty much whatever strikes my fancy, but I've written for Marvel, Good Omens, Les Mis, Supernatural, Star Trek, Sherlock Holmes, Ted Lasso, Harry Potter, and Check Please. Not counting my orphaned fics (which are primarily SPN fics as I recall).

What are your top five fics by kudos?

"air is still" (james bond, 00Q), "ride the dragon's wing" (stranger things, steddie mystery spot fic), "building on the ground that's been won" (ted lasso, jamie and simon character study), "the sound of it" (good omens, my first az/crowley fic), "reflections and reverberations" (marvel, sam/bucky), "sing what the voice cannot" (marvel, sam/bucky)

Do you respond to comments?

I try to respond to comments as much as possible, although I tend to drop off after a little while because I just forget to reply lmao. But I love getting comments!!!

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Probably either "it is silver, it is a coin (that one is the moon)" where I just write about Remus Lupin being miserable and lonely and then dying, or "a whisper system" which is set just before the now non-canon Section 31 novels for Julian Bashir which end ... badly, for him.

What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh probably "ride the dragon's wing" which ends very happily and hopefully, or "story received, story included", which ends with a little less closure but still very optimistically and hopefully.

Do you get hate on fics?

I think I have in the past but I usually just delete the comments so I've immediately forgotten whatever it might've been about.

Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I don't tend to write PWP for Publication at least, but a couple of my fics have had sex in them as part of the broader fic story!

Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?

I don't tend to write crossovers!

Have you ever had a fic stolen?

I don't think so!

Have you ever had a fic translated?

I think so? I've had requests for translation but I'm not sure they've ever gone ahead.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

I think I co-wrote a couple of fics back in the ffnet / LJ days and I have Tumblr RP'ed which I think counts as well. But nothing on AO3.

What’s your all time favorite ship?

I would kill and die for Holmes/Watson at any given moment but Garak/Bashir is coming in at a strong second. And Aziraphale/Crowley is probably a sneaky third just for its longevity.

What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I'm currently writing an unbelievably long Good Omens "season 3" but I don't think I'll even ever publish any of it. I also would love to take up my vampire!Grantaire fic again because I'd done so much worldbuilding for it, but I just lost the energy to keep it going.

What are your writing strengths?

Oneshots. I like to think I can also capture the 'voice' of a character pretty well.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I really struggle with writing a lot of dialogue in a way that doesn't just feel like I'm writing a script or just repeatedly going "he said, she said—"

Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?

If I know the language enough to do it or know exactly what the phrase is, then I'd do it and footnote the translation. Otherwise, though, I'd just note it in the description — I'm not about to mangle someone else's language with Google Translate when I could just note it in another way.

First fandom you wrote for?

On AO3, it's Good Omens. But it's probably actually like CSI or Harry Potter or something.

I'm proudest of "ride the dragon's wing" because it's Baby's First Completed Multichapter, but I also love "story received, story included" and "building on the ground that's been won".
