I was trying to figure out why Callum specifically holding onto the potion and waiting until Claudia saw it and asked for it back before he emptied it out reminded me of a typical Disney villain vibe actually and then it hit me
Like okay sure, you're fighting your enemy, but then he also waited until she saw him for sure, she said something about it, and then he opened it?? Why??? 😭
(If you don't know who the cat is: 1. You're missing out, and 2. It's Yzma, the main villain/antagonist in the Emperor's New Groove, and she has the potion the main character needs to go back to being a human)
Ironically it's a reverse situation not only because one is a protagonist and the other is an antagonist, but one has a potion that changes the other person's body to be less human-like, while the other has a potion that changes the other person's body back to being human.
Both potions help the person who would use them, though. For survival, or for going back to a normal life. (And Claudia's also trying to go "back to normal" in the sense that her goal is to keep her dad alive.)
Anyway this post wasn't supposed to be that serious, but it just baffles me

Time Skips!
This should be quick
So the short-short Inheritance provided a lot of insight on how callum's feeling post-ttm. But how long has it been since the moon nexus incident, and since rayla ran away?
And just for speculation on the show itself, how long will the time skip be for season 4?
In the story, it states:
It's been months since anyone has set foot in viren's lair.
And the last time we'd seen viren's office was in season 2, episode 9 when we found ✨🍓Gren✨
It's safe to assume the guards did a quick sweep in his dungeon around the time viren was arrested. And that's the last time we'd heard of that place.
So what does that tell us?
Real quick explanation
At the very beginning of season 2, Callum tells us that season 1 was only a week. Applying that format to each season, season's 1-3 had taken around a minimum of 3 weeks.
So at the end of season 2 marked around 2 weeks, and was the last time anyone had touched Viren's area, then that's where the months start.
But that doesn't tell us much yet.
If I remember correctly, the time skip between season 3 and TTM is around a month. Adding a week(season 3) to that count, it had been over a month since anyone had gone into Viren's inventory.
I might be mixing things up but the bottom line is: Callum didn't check the area immediately after TTM. If he did, the text would've just said it's been over a month.
But it's been months.
It's clear it's been a pretty long time since anyone has been in the secret area, with all the dust and cobwebs mentioned in the story. But it's also been a long time since TTM.
It's been fewer months since TTM.
But it's still been a few months since TTM, rayla's departure, and Callum's birthday.
2 questions:
1- does Callum have a new outfit, or does the position make it look like a vest over a sweater??
And 2- so how long is the time skip between season 3 and 4?
No fucking clue.
It's near impossible to find an exact amount of time between TTM and this story. And for all we know, season 4 may start a while after this story. So there's no telling as of yet.
Maybe the sneak peek at the panel tomorrow will give us an idea of how long it's been.

Apropos of nothing, i've been playing a lot of Cultist Simulator lately. I also discovered this picrew maker that lets you design custom portraits in the game's style, and i've made my protagonists (from this particular chain of legacies) thus far.
This is Anna. She was an Aspirant who very interestingly had Mr. Allen retire quite quickly after she started working under him; i chose to interpret this as her being a very impressive office worker. Sadly, her pursuit of power was cut short by her own dark thoughts.
This is Benjamin, the handsome but shy and nerdy doctor who looked after Anna in her last days. He proceeded to do far better than she had, pulling off several expeditions, recruiting over a dozen followers, wooing one of them (i finally figured out how that worked), and achieving success as both a doctor and a painter while running an occult organization. Unfortunately, this success proved to be his undoing, as he gained more than enough notoriety to attract the Suppression Bureau. He got off on his first trial, despite the damning evidence, but had no such luck at the second.
This is Callum, a bright young thing much less successful than Benjamin. As his inheritance from his father started to dwindle, Callum made a bargain that, if he had thought about for more than two seconds, he would have realized he had no means of fulfilling. Without a cult, he didn't have any followers to betray, and so the only person to hand over was himself. Hope the shiny gold was worth it, Callum you idiot.
This is Clara, Callum's much smarter twin sister who decided to try things like low-level office work and painting before agreeing to bargains with occult forces she didn't understand. Her cult is quite small yet, but the fact that she has one means she's already outstripped her brother. Whether she will outshine Benjamin as well in her pursuit of new, dangerous sensations remains to be seen.
