Thank you @kiwiana-writes, @wordsofhoneydew, @cha-melodius, and @hgejfmw-hgejhsf for the tags... though, once again, I've done little writing outside of my drabbles so far this week. Work continues to kick my ass—it made me cry not once, but twice today.
So, yeah, we're doing great.
Anyway, this week's WIP Wednesday will be in the form of tweets from The Coma Fic™️. I'll be pausing it briefly to work on a Christmas project, so this might be the last you see of it for a minute:
BuzzFeed News ☑️ @ BuzzFeedNews ROYAL ALERT: Prince Henry of Wales was spotted in Washington today. Could he be visiting his BFF Alex Claremont-Diaz after yesterday’s runway incident? Catch up on their friendship timeline: bit.ly/2jp6sl 11:42 AM · 2 Sept 2020 Oliver Westbrook  ☑️ @ BillsBillsBills Anyone—in the GOP or otherwise—buying Richards’s performative sympathy for Ellen Claremont or the FSOTUS probably needs to hear this: the IRS isn’t texting you about your taxes. Don’t click that link. #FraudAwarenessWeek 4:38 PM · 4 Sept 2020 Julie Thompson @ drjthompson Look, all I’m saying is that nobody questioned Kennedy’s ability to run the country after losing his child. Or Roosevelt. Or Coolidge. Or Lincoln. If you’re questioning Claremont’s dedication to her duties while FSOTUS is in a coma… Your sexism is showing. 1:06 PM · 8 Sept 2020 m. @ hortonhears Sooo we gonna talk about how Prince Henry showed up in D.C. last week and legit hasn’t left the hospital once? Or we just gonna let that one go? 3:12 AM · 12 Sept 2020
Tagging some lovelies under the cut, even though it will only be Wednesday for 15 more minutes. If you have not been tagged and you want to be, consider this your tag!

Thoughts about this article https://www buzzfeednews com/article/stephaniemcneal/amber-heard-redemption-arc
a whole ass vibe.
particularly:
heard’s trial is not a piece of entertainment, staged for our amusement — and yet, that’s what it’s become online... we could treat the allegations being thrown around in the trial as serious, and not simply a spectacle to entertain us or to turn into a meme. but many of us won’t.

buzzfeed has tallied all the celebrities who have liked JD's post vs AH's and i'm so weirded out by how many people are feeding into his bs, but that's hollywood for you. always go with the bigger name i guess. though it's super weird seeing jason mamoa liking both their statements. buzzfeednews(dot)com/article/kelseyweekman/johnny-depps-instagram-statement-liked-by-celebrities
I honestly don't understand why a lot of these people are involving themselves given the PR fuckery it could entail, but unfortunately I'm not surprised. The overwhelming campaign has seemingly fooled a lot of people, or at least scared them into submission and silence. It's great that the mainstream media is pointing out how outrageously fucked up this whole situation is, but the fact that the likes of Marilyn Manson and Kyle Rittenhouse are feeling emboldened to sue people for saying shit that is obviously and certainly true is terrifying.
It just sucks, like there's a reason why JD became the global representative for male abuse victims instead of Terry Crews or Brendan Fraser, and it's because misogynists, racists, transphobes, and abusers can use this precedent as a shield and they know they can be as awful as defending literal child rapists and talk about having sex with burnt corpses and they can still sucker a jury into thinking they're a completely innocent victim. Not only that, but the people that they victimized can now be bullied and harassed into silence, or even forced to pay the people who hurt them.
I'm glad that the mainstream media is calling out how fucked up this all is now (Michael Hobbes of You're Wrong About probably did my favorite and most comprehensive breakdown of how nonsensical this fiasco has been), but it's really shutting the barn door after the horse has bolted. Thankfully anti-SLAPP protects most people from this kind of stuff (and ironically Virginia changed their anti-SLAPP laws AFTER JD filed, and it is speculated it was largely because he and other high profile people essentially used jurisdictional tourism to help themselves), but seeing how immediately emboldened all of the worst kind of people seem to be at this verdict should really make people question what's going on and what the motives are behind this batshit crazy PR blitz. I mean, you'd think BEN SHAPIRO spending tens of thousands of dollars on negative AH press for no obvious reason would be a red flag for people, but I guess not.

Reposted from @buzzfeednews A fraternity president. An aspiring pediatrician. A multi-sport athlete. The students killed in the Michigan State University shooting were beloved by their school and community. On Monday night, a shooter opened fire on the school’s campus, killing three people and critically injuring five more. The deceased victims were identified as Brian Fraser, a sophomore from Grosse Pointe, Arielle Anderson, a junior also from Grosse Pointe, and Alexandria Verner, a junior from Clawson. “It’s going to be my mission in life to make sure that families don’t go [through] what we went through,” Verner’s father, Ted Verner, told the Washington Post. Week 2
Tumblr media
A few weeks ago, this image circulated all over social media which appeared to be Harry Styles spitting on Chris Pine. After doing some digging, it was found to be untrue, and fans were making up rumors. The image was taken from a video, and people just assumed the worst. More recently, Harry Styles was touring and even made a joke about spitting on Chris Pine before getting on stage. Some of my sources include buzzfeednews, vanity fair, and bbc.

Hello everyone, welcome to the account, I’m Silas Alden (AKA thatmusicgeek) and this is my first ever music review, I hope you enjoy my review and opinion and um, you can send any music/album that I can review. But my first review ever will be about the infamous 19 minute guilt trip song “I Admit” by R. Kelly
Tumblr media
Song Summary/Context
I Admit is a 19 minute song by R. Kelly, Kelly in the entire song “admits” to his wrongdoings, this song was made in retaliation to allegations about his sexual abuse scandals and an article by BuzzFeedNews that claimed that R. Kelly had a sex cult (which later was confirmed to be true), despite that though, Kelly admits to stuff that has nothing to do with the allegations; for example
“I admit that I dropped out of school (yeah, yeah, yeah) I admit that I wasn’t that cool (I wasn’t)”
“I admit I can't spell for shit, I admit that all I hear is hits (oh) I admit that I couldn't read the teleprompter when the Grammy's asked me to present (yeah)”
Kelly also claims to have had sex with both younger and older women, but they were overage, this would later be debunked.
Vibe
I personally think that “I Admit” has a decent vibe to it, I will say this, R. Kelly is a talented singer for sure and he can make some decent songs, I Admit however is a case of “It’s only good when you don’t pay attention to the lyrics” because he has a decent beat that loops for legit 19 minutes and R Kelly's voice is good as always but the lyrics will definitely kill the vibe. There is one thing that bugs me, the line
“I admit it was so hard to focus (focus)”
Bothers me a little bit because the bar before and after it doesn’t even rhyme, like “cmon R Kelly, you couldn’t find anything that rhymed with fucking focus?” The easiest fucking word to rhyme with? I’m not surprised though because you didn’t even write the song yourself.
Overall Opinion
“I Admit” by R Kelly is 19 minutes of R Kelly guilt tripping and gaslighting the listener into feeling bad for him, it’s honestly disgusting to be honest, R Kelly is such a monster and the fact that he had the audacity to make a FUCKING 19 MINUTE SONG WHERE HE BASICALLY BLAMED HIS VICTIMS AND MADE HIMSELF LOOK LIKE THE VICTIM, what an asshole. R Kelly should’ve never made this song, he should’ve apologized to his victims privately for the horrible stuff he had done to them and took responsibility for his actions, but instead he made 19 minute song where he blamed everyone and admitted nothing. I will say that I feel sorry for R Kelly through the sexual abuse he went through as a child that he talked about in the song but it still gives him no excuse for the stuff he done, he purely just mentioned it to make people feel bad him, that’s just exploitation of trauma and that ain’t cool. Also he said in the song
“What’s the definition of a cult? What’s the definition of a sex slave? Go to the dictionary, look it up”
Dude, why are you gonna tell us to go read a dictionary when you don’t know how to fucking read? Like legit didn’t you say
“I admit I can't spell for shit, I admit that all I hear is hits (oh) I admit that I couldn't read the teleprompter when the Grammy's asked me to present (yeah)”
R Kelly must be a troll because HE LEGIT SAY “go to the dictionary, look it up” WHEN HE CANT. EVEN. READ, this dude must be fucking with us BECAUSE THAT IS STUPID. But my overall rating for “I Admit” is a 3/10, it’s not good and it’s just disgusting just to hear the victim blaming that R Kelly was doing in this song. But I hoped you enjoyed the review and you can send in any single/album that I will possibly look into, next review will be either 1999 by Joey Bada$$$ or ISTHISFORREAL by The Koreatown Oddity but have a good day and see ya later
