This bracelet has already found a new home but I wanted to share with you the cool salvaged and reclaimed treasures I've used in it. 1. Antique Italian Mosaic from a broken necklace featuring tiny flower arrangement that I've soldered brass rings to and given a vintage tin backing. 2. Vintage carved mother of pearl bobbin head which I've claw prong set into reclaimed tin 3. A pottery disc I made out of clay with pink and green glaze (I made the mold for this) which is prong set onto reclaimed tin back 4. Vintage gold plated clam shell with real iridescent shells from a broken Arthur Pepper (1950's) designed necklace. It also has abalone shell inlay which I put in myself to replace a missing cabochon. 5. Mother of pearl and gem inlayed butterfly charm which doubles as a way to clasp the bracelet on 6. Vintage chain in a cool design to extend the bracelet 7. Brass sand dollar charm 8. Here's another one of my newer projects! I bought these cute butterfly charms from @firemountaingems recently because I wanted to experiment with them and see what I could do. They come in 3 different colors: silver, gold, and bronze. I've covered each charm in black epoxy resin (after curing for 3-4h because these charms aren't level, and I didn't want the resin to pool to the middle) and burnished them with a ton of different powders from @solarcolordust! I've also included one of @iceresin's opal line (I didn't like it; The opals are better suited inside transparent resins) and some fine red glitter because no one else has a proper, rich red. Naturally, I had to make some RWBY-themed ones. Those have a solo photo. I've incorporated some cute glitter shapes from @glitterhippostore into those just to see how they would work. Ruby has pink drops (like rose petals), Weiss has blue diamonds (putting 6 together actually makes a snowflake, but there was no room), Blake has purple moons, and Yang has yellow hearts. As you can see, they're quite small, only about 13mm wide. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with them. When I first posted about them in my story, a bunch of people messaged me with simply "earrings," which is a pretty obvious and generic answer. I do have a few earring design ideas for these, and I'd also like to incorporate them into charms and figurines. Sometimes I find the lost objects and occasionally they find me. This turquoise treasure charm pendant features steel chain gifted to me by a close friend, so it's a bit extra special. The pressed glass cabochon with recessed butterfly was originally a hanging brooch but the pin was broken, so I've sanded and smoothed the wires down to a wishbone shape. It has its original brass frame with rustic aged turquoise patina. Only a small portion of the paint was left on butterfly but enough for me to be able to restore it using alcohol pigment inks and iridescent acrylics. Also in this mixed media assemblage - upcycled flat link chain that I've adapted with Czech glass beads, weird vintage Nico Clacton key (an English company est. 1870 and still around today), my own handmade copper disc etchings, turquoise stone mosaic cabochon, metal detecting find ring, single rhinestone aurora flower clip on earring, abalone shell button and roman glass bead.
