EPISODE 10: I’m aligned with idiots - Ruthie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A little switcherooooo haha I wanted Seamus gone so badly. He was truly insufferable to talk to most of the time. Not because I don’t like him, but because he would constantly ask for info without supplying anything back. You learn valuable information in this game by strategically giving information. I feel like he just needed to be more upfront and I would have trusted him more. Instead he ended up looking slipperier than a wet lasagna noodle. So I love that Asya and Dane are building these targets on their back by using idols and stuff. I honestly see myself getting better than 7th (hopefully). I have been somewhat sliding under the radar but still being involved in these bigger moves without getting much blood on my hands. I think that as long as Asya and Dane continue to have this OTTN3, CPN kinds of displays, I can sit back, enjoy the show, and have clean hands for FTC. The thing that scares me though is that I will not have the direct moves that Asya made. But honestly my UTR game is something I’m working on and something I would reward with the win as a Jury member.
Tumblr media
i was so happy to meet seamus because i knew amanda already and liked her but i didn't know seamus and it was nice and new i love meeting new friends. i think he's FUNNY. COOL. NICE. LMFAO. and i thought seamus and i would be F3 like tight tight best allies. but every hoe coming out being like "love seamus, my best ally, i was so close to him" like bitch me too the fuck!!! little crackhead !!!!!!!! who was ur real f2??? what's this i hear about an alliance with anabel and dane???? still love him.
* a little while later after that*
i miss amanda ugh we would be calling and stressing about votes and it's thursday night right now and i have friday saturday sunday off work and we could've called and had fun times and be rats. the game got interesting when we merged and then she died like i hate my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and seamus too ugh and they're both gone. and now all i do is talk to sweet john and get high hehe. i hate that i'm also on the opposite schedule of rtp and ruthie i'd like to get to know them more.

Tumblr media
As much as I miss my daily memes from Seamus...  I'm not too sad that he's gone.  If I made it to the final three with him he would have won HANDS DOWN.  he was playing hard and I respect that but I need to keep on keeping on! I'm now in an alliance that Seamus made with the Ryans and Linus.  I trust them all to and all but I trust John more than ANYONE else in this game.  I'm playing around with the idea of telling him I'm in an alliance.  I also kind of want to tell Dan but I'm scared then word would get back to Asya and Dane.   I just really want to keep playing both sides and see what happens! When I get caught I'll just deal with it, lol. I'm pretty sure Linus and Lachie also playing two sides.
*two seconds later*
My big mouth just told Dan about the alliance I have with RTP, Ryan and Linus that Seamus made.  WHY DO I TELL EVERYONE EVERYTHING?? I am so bad at this LOL. I trust Dan but he's no fool, I know it is going to get back to Asya and Dane and then my alliance is going to disown me; Interesting though, he told me that he heard Lachie's name and I really thought that Lachie was with Dan, Asya and Dane. Part of me keeps wondering if I should have voted Ryan out that first merged tribal, I am so crackedt right now. I feel like the rat that is scampering off from group to group and I just have this feeling that my time is going to be up tonight.  I don't know who to trust and who not to trust at this point.  I talk to Dan and John the most and I do talk to Linus a good bit but like... I'm just in constant conflicted mode.   I do like the idea of Dan and I working together if he is with Asya and Dane and I stay with the others.  We could secretly feed each other information or something but hopefully I didn't just ruin my entire game.
*later*
I think??? I should be safe.  Dan told me that he ALSO is in an alliance with Dane, Asya and Pippa which Pippa being aligned with them REALLY surprised me.  I thought she was just doing her own thing and living her best life but it really makes a lot of sense.  I think that we will eventually pull John in and make an alliance with just the three of us.  Also I'm thinking that Lachie is going to go which would be the BEST case scenario for both Dan and myself and maybe starting next week we can start kicking members off of each alliance that isn't myself or Dan. I don't want to get cocky but I feel like I'm in a really good position right now and that Dan is officially my ride or die in this game.
Tumblr media
This vote seemed too easy???? Like it landed on Lachie and I’ve heard nothing else? I’m just like nervy. I opened up to Ruthie today about my position in the game. She and I compared notes..... and alliances. We figured out we were kind of on either side of the game. We promised to keep the info we told each other under wraps, which I intend to do. Ruthie is a likable person and down the line a sleeper threat to win, I just want options. She seems to be willing to cough up some info from time to time so we’ll see where this leads. I’m just paranoid bc I feel like it could very well be me this round? Idk. I also don’t really care lmao
*a half hour later*
So now it flipped to RTP? I love that but I’m always the last to know and I’m getting #overit
Tumblr media
ok so i cant make a video bc jacob is here but heres the rundown lost immunity, ryan m won who do i want gone the most? rtp fuck that man. however, lachie didn't even submit for the challenge so people are like ok lets just do him which like?? fine?? i guess?? fuck lachie too cause he's another traitorous ass bitch, but i'm not scared of him. i can kill him later. so when i hear john wants him to stay and for a royal to leave, suddenly he and i are best buddies again. he wanted pippa but like i just spent the last round telling pippa i would fight for her and so thats what i did! i told john that we needed pippa and that i could make her vote rtp, so now, what i'm being told is that myself, dane, dan, pippa, lachie and john are voting rtp. only guess what? the others aren't voting lachie anymore. no prizes for guessing who these bitches flipped onto (: anyways now that lachie isn't in danger it's very likely that he would flip on me, making it 5-5 instead of 6-4. in a tie, these bitches will absolutely flip on me. like i just know it. maybe i'd have dane and dan but thats it. and that pisses me off. i feel like i've been working my ass off and to have it end here is like... mentally i know it's good for me bc this game drives me crazy but like. i fucking deserve to get farther than people who don't even play the game. i just do. i owe that to myself. anyways. dane thinks he can get linus on board as well. i tried patching things up w linus and he left me on read so like i don't see why he wouldn't vote me. not hopeful there. if i'm voted out let it be known that i remain the baddest bitch in this game and i will be an incredible demon at ftc. thank u and goodnight. ps stream jackboot jump
Tumblr media
My alliance hoping for rocks?  I'm aligned with idiots. I've told Dan EVERYTHING I've been hearing all day and I really hope it doesn't all come back to bite me on the ass.  He's gotten very quiet and isn't the only one.  Suddenly everyone is quiet and that is never a good thing right before a vote is due, it makes me think that it has been changed to me.  SURELY these people would tell me right?  I've had the curtesy to tell people when it is them to be a suck up... SURELY people will tell me too... RIGHT? I don't know. Rocks is beginning to sound better and better though.

tags masterpost (?)
I was tagged in a few tag games over the past few days and instead of posting them all separately I decided to just put them all on one! If I tagged you feel free to do any or all of these (including people who tagged me!!) As always, don’t feel any pressure to do any, I just think these are fun and wanted to share :)
- - - - 11 questions tag - - - -
Rules: 1. Make sure to post the rules!! 2. Answer the questions given to you by the tagger. 3. Write 11 questions of your own. 4. Tag 11 people
these questions are from @moonmyun !! michaela you had me stRUGGLIN OKAY YOUR QUESTIONS WERE HARD but ily still bless you for the tag you angel :”)
1 who is your bias group? why?
BANGTAN SONYEONDAN AKA MEME SQUAD !!!!!!! honestly they just make me so beyond happy wow holly nobody ever says that about their favs ur original a LOOOT of music is centered around love these days and not to say bts doesn’t do that with a lot of their music but they also tackle a lot of societal issues and I really respect them for that. From 21st century girls w politics, spring day mv and the ferry sinking, suicide in the I need u mv and many other things I feel like they take risks for the sake of portraying what they hold true to their hearts/morals not necessarily what will sell best and I can’t name many other groups who do that as well :( also my boys cute af I love those dweebs IM SO WHIPPED HAH
2 which kpop video do you find the most aesthetically pleasing?
this is hard :(( idk my number one but I really like seventeen hip hop unit’s check in, red velvet’s one of these nights, ladies code’s galaxy, kim lip of loona’s eclipse and crush’s fall ! they don't all match my aesthetic but I feel like they match the songs really well!!! watch them okay 3/5 of them are hELLA UNDERRATED bye
3 if you could instantly learn one choreography, what would you pick?
something by either gfriend or bts?? love whisper or not today or blood sweat tears?? OOOH or red flavor by rv!! tbh though I’m really skinny so my limbs look weird af with a lot of dances rip
4 who do you look up to as a role model (in the kpop community or not)?
there’s no person in particular that really sticks out but I will say I’ve always admired jungkook, and really all trainees for that matter, who leave their families to start training really young because its a process thats hard physically, emotionally and mentally for late teen/early twenties trainees but there’s sO many kids who enter in their pre-teens and idk how they survive also I realized this doesn’t answer your question at all I'm sorry its 1:28 AM I’m just waiting for the DNA mv to drop
5 whose concert would you go to if you could and why?
DAY6 DAY6 DAY6 DAY6 !!!!! THEY INVENTED LIVE SHOWS DONT FIGHT ME ON THIS or shoot maybe dean or crush or heize?? I LOVE TOO MANY TALENTED PEOPLE also I would say bts but although there are countless amazing beautiful armys there are def some crazy scary ones that are known to be horrible at concerts so
6 if you could pick one idol to be best friends with, who would it be and why?
OK YALL IVE THOUGHT ABOUT THIS A LOT IN MY DAILY LIFE SO S/H TO MICHAELA FOR ASKING ILY either boo seungkwan or ahn heeyeon!! I feel like hani would be so fun to have girl time with bc I feel like we’re really similar in some ways ?? IDK I LOVE HER bUT overall I’d say boo seungkwan because istg we are 100000000% the same person only he has a weenie ok just trust me I am boo and boo is me
7 would you want to be a part of a kpop group if you had the opportunity to be?
I’d absolutely love to be in the entertainment industry and I think the staging, costuming, group dynamics and publicity (variety shows, fan service/interations) in the kpop industry are all really cool but I honestly don't think I have the mental strength to do it lmao idols go through so much and I don’t think I could handle it regardless of how much I enjoy singing/dancing/performing etc.
8 what languages do you speak, and which do you want to learn?
english and some spanish??? I understand a lot because quite a bit of my family speaks it but my conversational skills have gone downhill recently because I haven’t had a lot of opportunities to practice :( with that said, I’d like to be fluent in spanish and - BEFORE YOU COME FOR ME READ IT ALL OK - I’d like to learn korean BECAUSE!!!!! when I was little before I moved I would go to a farmers market by my house and a lot of the older ladies there spoke korean and little holly though it sounded so pretty and I always wanted to chat w them ok THATS WHY I’m not a creepy koreaboo this has been a thing since before I even knew what a kpop was ok bye
9 what song cheers you up when you’re sad?
fire by bts bc I get hella turnt to that song its a pROBLEM also jackpot by block b, baby/puss in boots by astro, chained up by vixx, not today/bst by bts, knock knock by twice, i think I love you by sonamoo THE LIST GOES ON I HAVE A WHOLE PLAYLIST OK
10 what things do you associate with your bias?
dimples!! pretty hands, closing one eye in selcas, ootds, happiness so cheesy ik sORRY, ryan, studying, awkward dancing, open mouth laughs, second hand embarrassment, sentimental rants

What 8 successful ADHDers crave you to know about how they get stuff done.
Whenever I’m working with my family, acquaintances, or peers, they ever ask me how I’m able to get so much better done.
My answer: “I have ADHD.”
That might resonate confusing, but realistically, parties with ADHD don’t always have problems with attention at least , not when we’re is currently working on something that excites us. In reality, ADHD often means that we can hyperfocus on awesome things for hours on end, although sometimes that comes at the expense of all the less-thrilling acts were supposed to be doing.( Why soak the recipes when you can build a rocket ship out of a cardboard casket and a disassembled vacuum cleaner ?)
Most beings with ADHD have to work 10 epoches harder to achieve seemingly basic organizational and era administration abilities skills that other people develop naturally over occasion. While drug can certainly help, it doesn’t do all the work by itself. As a result, we offer more self-conscious attention to life hacks, remembrance maneuvers, productivity shortcuts and other mental managerial arrangements … because we have to .
GIF via Checkoofilm/ YouTube.
Some say that people with ADHD are much more likely to start their own professions, perhaps because were built to tackle imaginative and entrepreneurial challenges.
While other people dont necessary to discover the same ploys that we do, they can benefit from them. In information, Id “re saying that” ADHDers have some of best available advisory opinions and rehearses for get stuff done even if we dont ever listen to that admonition ourselves .
GIF from “Bruce Almighty.”
Here are 21 productivity gratuities from beings with ADHD that even non-ADHDers can learn from TAGEND
1. Habits are concepts you get free of charge. So get into ’em .
Even though Im not a natural creature of habit, I ever start my period with meds, then a shower, then breathes, then breakfast otherwise I know that Im going to forget one of those steps. Habits are virtually self-automation, which represents less brainpower spent on the interesting thing.
2. Always have a backup( or two, or three) and know where to find it .
I deter additional cables, chargers, adapters, medicine, and other things in my luggage at all periods. That way, whether Im going to the grocery store or on vacation, I dont have to worry about maintaining my phone charged.
3. Remember and alertings: love them and use them .
I even have a repetition 2 p.m. notification on my phone that says EAT SOME LUNCH, YOU IDIOT because, erm, I involve the reminder more than Id like to admit.( Also: IFTTT initiations to automate activities and sync between apps and accounts draw life behavior easier .)
GIF from “Despicable Me 2. “
4. Keep a calendar, and planned in the time it takes for “youve got to” do events .
If it takes you additional time to keep a calendar or get into the headspace for a meeting? Factor that in when youre projecting your daytime too.
5. Pay attention to the your day’s ups and downs, and use them to your advantage .
Do you get sleepy claim after lunch? Then perhaps dont dive into that intense assignment at 1 p.m. Are you better when you answer emails in the morning and get active tasks done subsequently? Then do that. Anatomy out what works for you, and follow that planned .
6. Find your tempo and stick with it .
Even if youre not the slow and steady category, a regular blueprint of sprint and remain can still help you reach the finish line. “Sometimes I’ll start counting trounces in my manager to create a lilt, ” says Tv columnist/ director Hadley Klein. “It sounds crazy but for whatever rationale, it helps me think through occasions in a different way.”
GIF via HIKAKIN/ YouTube.
7. Stir a schedule. Check it twice. Then make another list. And another .
Graphic novelist Tyler Page says, I keep one main to-do index on my computer in a Sticky or TextEdit file. Bigger activities get their own rolls where they get broken down into smaller and smaller factors. The rolls also help with prioritizing something that needs to be done right away goes on the daily to-do list.”
GIF from “Monsters University.”
8. Prioritize action over attainment. Doing the thing.
This one comes from Patty Carnevale, head of revenue at Man Repeller. Weighing your progress in a tangible road can assist you seem more successful, which will then give you the drive to keep going.
9. Reward yourself for your accomplishments no matter how small-time .
If you’re someone who needs frequent feedback to get the necessary dopamine lift, then they are able to fake it by lodging a carrot in front of yourself to keep you going. Alysa Auriemma, an English teach, provides an example: I can speak that breathtaking online fanfic IF I get three articles graded!
GIF from “Parks and Recreation.”
10. Turn the boring characters into a game .
I use a fitness watch which checks how many steps I take in a daylight and how many flights of stairs I clamber. Its fun to prepare the numbers go up , says Nalo Hopkinson, an award-winning scribe. She also reports her daily term count on Twitter, so that people are able to cheerlead her along.
11. Don’t dread the boring material. Just get it done. It’s faster that room .
Focus on the satisfaction that youre going to feel once youve finished the assignment, instead of on the time itll go for get onto done which, tells be honest, is perhaps less era than you think.( Of direction, although there are I know this works for me, it’s still easier said than done .)
12. The more you give occasions pile up, the easier it gets to ignore them . Find a route to keep it fresh . Im a addictive inbox zeroer because the longer that little red-faced notification bubble sits there on my phone, the more inclined I am to ignore it. So I differentiate all my emails as “read, ” then use an IFTTT trigger to prompt me later of things that is really require a follow-up or my attention.
GIF from “Community.”
13. If occasions decline your knowledge, visual clues can help .
You are well aware that mantra, “Out of view, out of mind? ” For parties with ADHD, that’s reasonably literal to a fault. So it makes it possible to stick events right in our own faces so that we can’t miss them . When I was in college, I videotapeed a postcard to my accommodation door with the times I needed to leave by to make it to morning castes on time, says Rebecca Eisenberg, Upworthys senior editor.
14. Work with your brain , not against it . Do you tend to lose your keys in the shower? Then make a new residence for them in the bathroom, where youre already inclined to leave them. That way, theyre always there. Don’t fight your impulses. Use their impetu to your advantage . And on that note
15. Embrace your peculiarities and find a way to draw them work for you.
Everyones brain is different. A mint of ADHDers need to figure out on our own what works for us, rather than having person tell us whats the right way to do stuffs. For illustration: If someone else leaves me a directory of instructions or things to do that’s organized by their thought, it exclusively reaches me disappointed and confused. I have to create my own to-do inventories in my own method even if it does take more time.
GIF from “Adventure Time.”
16. Take a end. Move around. Do a bit dance . Movement helps your intelligence get better. As alluring as it is to made the emphasis on discernible actions, its just as important to not do occasions and give yourself a chance to breathe. Sometimes a little interval can give you a lot of new view .
I use a portable movable stand table and a duet of bluetooth headphones so that I can mostly dance in place and write at the same duration. My partner reputes I’m weird, but it works.
17. Know when to call it a era . Its important to abide when youve reached the object of diminishing returns. Don’t be afraid to give your brain a respite, and come back to it fresh the next day . This’ll save you time in the long run too because the more you ability through your exhaustion, the longer it’ll take to recover.
GIF via ilvbunnies/ YouTube.
18. Identity your flaws and strengths, and be transmitted to others .
“My peers are well aware that in exchange for abiding all the things I do that reach me little dependable, they get a guy who are in a position think outside the box, that can create on the operate, that can wear numerous hats at once, ” says Upworthy’s fearless editor-at-large, Adam Mordecai.
“They also know that if they want something from me, I’m far likelier to get it done if they ping me immediately following chat rather than on email. Give your peeps know how to get the most out of you.”
19. Retain your seeing on the reward, but f orgive yourself and others . Everyones fighting their own uphill battles, and you’re not going to get anything done if you’re too busy hitting yourself up .( Youre not going to help anybody else be more productive if you externalize it and pick on them either .)
GIF from the SAG Awards.
20. Set your goals, but remain flexible.
Maybe you didnt get as much done today as you had hoped, but thats OK. Regroup, “re coming” with a new programme, and try to figure out what went wrong so you can do it better next time. Which fetches me to the last, and perhaps most important, lesson TAGEND
21. Try again. Fail again. Fail better.
This is actually a quote from Samuel Beckett, but it also makes for the purposes of an good productivity mantra. The bad parts and failures are inescapable, and youll never overcome them all. But thats OK. Accept it, learn from it, and keep going anyway.
But you do have a mentality. So use it. GIF from “The Wizard of Oz.”
ADHDers understand one thing better than most people: Success is not a stationary target.
There’s no “one weird trick” that will actually bring you any closer to success.
Instead, the best we can hope for is to embrace ourselves for all our strengths and weaknesses, and continue feeling things to work toward. Perhaps that’s a new business seek, 15 simultaneous hobbies, or plainly recollecting to put your underwear on before your pants.
If that last part is a measurable clue, then for me, today was an extraordinary success.

How Pandora, Bandcamp, and others plan to change your listening garbs
Streaming services were once decreed a death knell for the music business. But those very fellowships converged upon South by Southwest( SXSW) this month to try to mold the industry in their imageand, in the process, save it.
As these platforms, Web works, and apps jostled for ground in Austin, Texas, they likewise battled with an existential crisis: Forget royalty payouts or the perils of free on-demand listeningit is about to change shoppers are entitled, ever-changing buyers whose needs and challenges alteration like a playlist on shuffle. How do you consistently dish that inconsistent gathering?
For decades the music economy could lean on its superfans. Theyd spread the word with sidekicks, splurge for merch, and buy different publications of the same record. But yesterdays obsessive importation vinyl fetishist is increasingly becoming todays monthly Spotify subscriber.
Yesterdays obsessive import vinyl fetishist is increasingly becoming todays monthly Spotify subscriber .
At a SXSW panel, former Rhapsody exec Jon Maples mourned the decline of these big spender, who used to buy a lot of content. And now they get it for a define cost of 10 bucks a few months.
Increasingly, he spoke, Spotify and its fortune are more about whats next than observing bands and songs to explore and obsess over. The good information, he remarked, is the data shows you have more various forms of listening than ever before.
Marisol Segal, who helped launch Rdio in 2010, blamed streaming music business. You establish technology in this realm and its flow like a technology companionship, she remarked, and thats acquired her check out from the Internets buffet of services.
And thats the audience to observe. The names and the music manufacture are watching very carefully what prototype harvests the most fund, Pandoras Chief Product Officer Christopher Phillips told the Daily Dot. We allwant to pay artists more fund. Its not clear what simulation works best.
If there was a consensus coming out of the SXSW void, that was it.
A crowded sandbox
Pandora isnt sweating the uncertain times. It has a plan.
Ramon Ramirez
Were with them in the morning, at work, in the workout, at nightpeople invest a lot of occasion with the app, Phillips remarked. The median customer, he answered, wastes 22 hours a month streaming Pandora.
With that in its pocket, Pandora can move into stumping for creators and leading head-to-head with Spotify. Phillips said the 16 -year-old streaming monstrous is on the eve of debuting more bells and whistles, too: In the last year, its acquired international opponent Rdio, concert programme Ticketfly, and the predictive algorithms of Next Big Sound.
Phillips supposed Pandora is also haunting direct treats for its own on-demand representation. At SXSW, Pandora booked the Gatsby and livestreamed performances from trending and diverse identifies like Young Thug, Yacht, and Troye Sivan. In terms of curating exciting notions, thats a big tastemaking win.
But their sandbox continues crowded and contentious.
Its not a one-app-wins-all occasion .
Its not a one-app-wins-all happen, Phillips suggested, before memorandum the chasm between Pandora and Spotify: certainly does restrict, and if you want that see, you have to pay.
Not everyone agrees. Spotify consumer are able to access a vast library and torrent anything with the services offered free, ad-supported model. Overwhelmingly, the majority of members of Spotifys usersas numerous as 75 percentare fine with this version.
( Its been, well, messy. On Monday Spotify announced it contacted 30 million paid subscribersjust as it set a $30 million lawsuit with the National Music Publishers Association for unpaid royalties during SXSW .)
If other services are successful over the long run to keep the ability of free on-demand, well have to address that, Phillips pronounced. But we repute the creator got to go require more.
A most perfect confederation
Music is a consumers tournament. If youre a clique or creator, that entails constructing an audience is trickier than ever. Ten years ago youd upload four tracks to Purevolume or Myspace and badger your Facebook friends to hear a prove.
Now you need a niche.
Bandcamps community-driven bazaar is where you probably want to start. Like SoundCloudwhich is reportedly in financial tribulation, planning a subscription streaming service, and unlike its past did not invest in a high-profile pop-up concert venue at SXSWBandcamp is vast acres of mp3s.
At Bandcamp we consider a somewhat different point of view, Bandcamp Chief Curator Andrew Jervis said during the Ephemeral Now board. We feel that the master should be a little bit more in control, and as a love you pay them directly.
Jervis said that over at Bandcamp, CD sales were up 10 percent, vinyl auctions up 40 percentage, and cassette sales 50 percent last year. Were clearly identifying people want to buy something tangible, Jervis said.( Indeed, vinyl marketings outpaced streaming service income in 2015, according to recent data released by the Recording Industry Association of America .)
Ramon Ramirez
Bandcamp has a social networking angle, too, where one can follow friend love and revel in niche recommendations. Jervis said this model accountings for 20 percentage of Bandcamps total sales. And such matters, Jervis maintained, because theres a disparity between the number of seasons something gets streamed and when it actually goes purchased.
Maybe pulpits need to do a better undertaking of tying things together, Jervis said. If you put your music on a streaming service where there is no option to buy youve missed your 500,000 opportunities.
He persisted: These companies that want to offer everything to everyone at the same duration cant have everything at the same age because they havent constructed that community.
Beyond the album
For followers online, BitTorrent incites heated, homely memories of using its haul protocol to plagiarize books from the Pirate Bay. But the company was at SXSW remixing the future of distribution.
At BitTorrent that symbolizes repurposing albums as downloadable Bundles. The fellowship worked with masters like Thom Yorke, Moby, and Raekwon to deliver licensed artwork via peer-to-peer filesharing. Attack an Internet underground of BitTorrents 170 million useds, chairman of content programme at BitTorrent Straith Schreder told the Daily Dot, and youll find an gathering as a musician.
What is an album after the Internet? What is a label after names ?
BitTorrent calls its pay-gated Bundle a direct-to-fan publishing programme. Here, parties and creators retain 90 percentage of incomes, plus the digital metrics like email addresses needed to organize a base.
Think about a wrap or a flow as something thats much more akin to vinyl: It can hold anything. It can be music, it can be art, it can be liner greenbacks, Schreder announced, drawn attention to another business quandary: What is an book after the Internet? What is a label after names?
Among the big hounds, Pandora can also make a strong case for being the most artist-friendly. Its new AMP( artist marketing programme) assistance for party gives analytics and helps indie creators upload music to its servers. Phillips said that with Pandoras recent expansion, its become one large-hearted A& R patronize. And he used to say necessitates it can organically feed the ecosystem through its various dispensaries, in addition to solving problems like getting beings out to shows.
We use humen for excellence, machines for proportion, Phillips said. We repute the combination is what matters.
Remixing the future
SXSW 2016 brought with it a reenergized focus on live music and reaching passive listeners go out on a Tuesday. Video-production apps like Baeable exist to document and stash live footage, then present it virtually the channel an ESPN app presents scores. Music startups like Festivus, Jamwar, Mixd, Tipcow, and Tunesmap too work to augment the live route( and indicated up to schmooze at SXSW ).
Spotify, YouTube, Pandora, and Mazdas Hype Hotel invested in orchestrating must-see times, then saving that footage to package and stream subsequently.( Samsung, MTV, and even McDonalds, of the all-day breakfast sandwiches, did so as well .)
Ramon Ramirez
At the Spotify House, videos touted upcoming original webseries, including information from Snapchat king DJ Khaled. At YouTubes pop-up warehouse down at the Coppertank, its nascent YouTube Music app was on display for a three-day private concert succession. The busines tracks your streaming wonts and beams in tailor-made playlists, and its tremendous digital library is something of a trump card.
Its not streaming; you have to go and do it .
The YouTube concert by Future was downright crucial: expertly curated as a pivotal showcase for one of raps most dominant krakens. I left wanting to immediately stream his live act of subversively political chant March Madness, which represents I fell hook, pipeline, and sinker.
But of all the ideas trying to convert streaming followers into an IRL economy, Jukelys was the most amusing: Netflix, but for concerts.
With a monthly subscription one gets access to a bank of tickets. You can theoretically go out every night of the month, and use it for any of the 17 cities the service operates in. You can upgrade to a plus-one alternative, and sometimes there are private members-only testifies.
Its not streaming; you have to go and do it, Jukely Head of Business Development Sarah Weiss told the Daily Dot.
Thats the rob, determining new music by having to go and see it: We are trying to encourage people on the discovery area, Weiss replied. In that practice, the industrys virtually come full-circle in the interrelationship with streamingalmost.
But big music streaming is an inevitable example, BitTorrents Schreder imagines. The real question for everyone in townfrom the exec at YouTube, Spotify, and Pandora flexing their muscle with private concerts and open rails, to new minors accompanying meetings like Your Music Startup Sucks that may or may not be here next yearwas how do you change its own experience of listening?
How do we move that meaningful? Schreder alleged. How does that become part of the idiom of streaming?
For now, at the least, the jurys still out.

Welcome to week 6 of the 52-week MFRW blog challenge.  Each week will be a new topic. Isn’t that fun?
This week’s prompt:  My hobbies.
I have more hobbies than I have time for, but I’ll share just a few in order of time actually spent doing them.
Bullet Journaling – OK, technically this may or may not be considered a hobby. It’s a productivity tool but it’s also an outlet for artistic expression. I haven’t shared any of my pages for a while because they tend to look alike. For the most part,  my daily entries consist of my to do list, maybe a quote or scripture, and a few personal notes. There are days when I have a lot more on my mind and my journaling can be long winded.
First bujo cover – This is the 33 cent comp book. Notice the tabs, these are necessary for me.
From my humble beginnings last year, a 33 cent clearance  5 x 8 composition notebook, to the current one – a  dotted Leuchterm that was received as a gift, my bullet journal keeps me on track, allows a little artistic expression and allows a place to enter my thoughts.
A few pages are fancy schmancy, artsy fartsy but most are repetitive dailies. You can make your journal however you want. This is mine and I do what I want with it. I can color the page entirely black if I feel like it. I don’t see what that would accomplish, but I could if I wanted to.
Below is a quick gallery of a few pages. The cover is red, not sure why it looks pink in this photo.
#gallery-0-19 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-19 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-19 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
New cover
I liked how this one turned out.
Got the chance to doodle while I was waiting on hold.
I really liked this one aspect of a weekly spread, why haven’t I incorporated this???
A bit ofself motivation, trying to lift myself up out of a mirey place.
A typical layout, just a bit of this and that.
I got a new stamp that I played around with. I found a few stamps that I have been using regularly, one for a block to date my pages, a little car to indicate errand days, a book to designate online learning, etc.
2. Crochet – I have a multitude of projects from quick cup cozies to lengthy projects like afghans. I am currently working on 2 projects – a manghan – basically an afghan in charcoal grey for my husband ‘that is larger than a regular afghan so that it will cover his feet and still be able to tuck in  under his chin, in a basic design that doesn’t have big holes that  his toes can go through and not in some god-awful color that looks like someone couldn’t decide’ was his request, and a market bag which I am freestyling. I have to admit, I’ve ripped this one out a few times already. It’s currently about a third finished.
  #gallery-0-20 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-20 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-20 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
A shrug for a gift.
The front of the shrug.
Flower detail.
Cowl scarf.
A variety of scarves, traditional arm knit infinity scarves, and crochet infinity scarves.
Cup cozies
3. Furniture refinishing/repurposing. I haven’t been as diligent in taking photos of my  before and after projects, but I do have a few. We find odd pieces at auction or yard sales. I can’t ay that I look for any specific style, it’s more a matter of what grabs my attention.
This metal framed vanity chair was literally on the side of the road. Most people would look at that and say good riddance. No, not me. I look at that and see the bones of something more. So after a little bit of work,  and a lot of elbow grease to polish the metal, I transformed it into this:
I’m not a fan of orange, but the fabric popped and it sold for $40.00. Not bad for a scavenge, using up a bit of leftover padding, and a half yard of fabric.
Here are a few of my finds:
#gallery-0-21 { margin: auto; } #gallery-0-21 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 33%; } #gallery-0-21 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-0-21 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */
Old fan blades and a Table leg + whimsical glow in the dark dragon fly.
Old dresser drawers = display shelves.
dusty can barrel chairs cleaned up – decided that I liked them too much to sell!
This old mirror was in a ‘lot’ of stuff for $5.00!
4. Crafts – all of the crafts that don’t easily fit within crocheting, refinishing, or journaling.  This includes sewing which I will do again when I can replace my sewing machine that died after twenty some odd years. As part of my ofice space that I am going to carve out in our basement, a craft area is going to be part of that plan.
I’ve been scouring Pinterest on the best way to handle storage in this area.  I need an area for items that will go into a resale shop, and an area for hand crafted items also. I have to admit, before I can get the clean, tidy work area that I desire I will have to purge my stash and start over. It’s difficult to create a clean area when you are overrun with stuff.
5. Gardening –  I didn’t do much last year, and I really missed it. I love having fresh produce from the garden. I love planting the seedlings and watching it grow. I can’t deny I love the fresh produce that I know is organic as well. This month is the planning stage of gardening. I’m plotting out on graph paper to plan what seeds and starts I will need for my garden area. Yes, I’m a geek.
Managing time for all of these things however, that’s another story.
I wonder if there are hobbies that don’t cost money. It seems everything I do ends up costing money in some way. At least the refinishing/repurposing is getting a return! Do you have any hobbies?
