Hate that it's more acceptable to be nostalgic about ""boyish"" childhood stuff than ""girly"" childhood stuff like jeez I thought we were past this it's 2022 almost 2023
#feminism#barbie movie 2023#so i can still love pokemon and legos and mario and sonic#but im supposed to hate barbie and winx club and polly pocket and monster high and bratz and dress up games#my bf wants to watch all his favorite shows from his childhood with me and im ok with that! but i want to show him my favorites#like i wanted to do a disney princess or barbie movie marathon#but he laughs and refuses#we saw all the sonic movies together and yet he REFUSES to see the new barbie movie with me#like he can refuse to see it i wont force him but he wouldnt even discuss it#and we are a queer couple too so i thought that shit wouldnt come up#i like what i like idc if its girly or boyish i was raised to just like whatever#idk what to do#im really upset#it feels stupid and no ones gonna see this probably#like sometimes his stuff bores me but i watch it cause i love him
