Here's a bunch of my headcanons for the main trio. It's either funny or edgy, no in between. Hope you enjoy!

Duck:

- unironically considers himself "not like other birds"

- his family are literally a bunch of normal ducks living in a pond with whom he constantly quarrels

- has been scammed on every single existing fraud. yes before each of them he said "i know all their tricks! i'm completely sure they won't fool me again!"

- neurodivergent vibes are STRONG

- gay and homophobic

- ignorant as fuck but a proud individual

- curious but at the same time really really stubborn. If he doesn't want to believe in something he completely closes eyes on any evidence until something undeniable (probably traumatic) shatters his perception in the end. this and his arrogace makes him really easy to manipulate

- if Yellow is Red's inner child, and Roy is his inner adult, I'd like to think that Duck is more like "friend he always wanted to have"

- haptophobic, even if he doesn't know about this yet (yes, this hc is entirely based on his and Steak interactions in dhmis 5)

- thinks that Red is the only one who truly understands him, to all creatures prefers to spend time with him. (even if by design)

- surely loves Yellow in his own way. Often tries to teach him, but it's not quite working out. (Fuck, I only now realised that his usual attitude to Yellow could be him mimicking his own family relationships)

- has no clue about how violent the world can be to him... (well soon he'll know, soon he'll know...😢)

- doesn't really like Roy, because he is too touchy

Red:

- his attitude is basically could be described as an adult living in a world created by a child

- at this point doesn't really take Yellow and Duck somewhat seriously, it's more like older brother and his younger siblings dynamic

- depression and a mid life crisis (even if i headcanon him being like 20)

- "yes, guys, like, everyone had that thing that you are constantly being stared at by some weird dude who always ruins the weather and you with your imaginary friends boy and duck need to stay at home again, right guys?" ..."you're fired"

- self esteem problems

- he and that guy from Swim And Sleep Like A Shark could well be the same person. like, both have red hair, like horses and have very similar pattern of speech. btw birthday on the same date. also i like to think about him as being a sort of early prototype of Red's character

- somewhat likes being the smartest person in the whole Clayhill, even if it could be annoying sometimes

- the chillest one because knows for sure that he is not in danger

- gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss

- at this point if he sees Roy anywhere near his house, he'll move to the forest without any warning

Yellow:

- he is definitely the most innocent of the bunch, but this totally doesn't mean that he is incapable of violence

- everyone is so mean to me..... 😞🍑 (but they are)

- animal lover, but the pets he allowed to bring home are usually really small, and die after like, a week. Duck and Red say that "it got homesick so it ran back to the forest". even if it's a fish.

- i like to think that he is sorta idolizes Duck and thinks he is the smartest person in the entire world (he's not)

- spends most of his time with him, because they both are really naive and always get dragged in some traumatic adventure. but unlike Duck he has an age excuse

- has A LOT of scarfs and hats. Duck's hobby is weaving so this things need to go somewhere. to this day no one knows what Yellow does with all of that

- has no pride at all. give him a candy and he will immediately forgive you, even if you violently slaughtered his pet rat in front of his very eyes and laughed about this in his face

- literally has no mother. she never existed in the first place. also he is technically older than his dad, because Roy appeared the last of them all

- very easily excitable. shake keys in front of him, and he will be happy for the whole day

- "where's my dad?"

Why Does God Need A Starship? (Live Reaction):

I always thought Sybok was cool and interesting and NOW I’m sure! You know it’s times like these that I’m grateful I kinda came back into the Star Trek fandom on my own, because I don’t have to deal with Opinions of older/louder Trekkies. This one kinda has a lukewarm reputation but I’m getting the vibe that I’ll genuinely enjoy it.

Yet again Bones is serving up some LOOKS damn! Look at these elder gays! Spock has rocket boots, amazing. “Because it’s there” and then falling off the goddamn mountain is such a James Tiberius Kirk thing to do 😂 “HI BONES!” These guys omfg. OH MY GOD SO WE DO SEE CAITIANS OUTSIDE THE CARTOONS?? Hell yeah! Also pole dancing to no music, is... weird. Lmao. Also okay I’m sorry Sybok is cool! Sybok is cool and interesting and I really like him! (Not morally obviously dude is shady as all fuck, but a cool dude nontheless!) Always fascinated by Cult Leader type villains, especially when they point out valid criticisms about the society from which they came (important distinction is that the CAUSE is not vilified, but the person and their means, something M****l has largely forgotten)

Awww I may ship Hikura, but Uhura & Scotty are also cute as hell!! Awwwwwww!!!! Old married couples can be so freaking cute. Chekov & Sulu are LOST ohhhh my god this is hilarious, these two idiots. Also can we talk about how Koenig’s eyebrows are slowly gaining sentience and Takei aged like fine wine? Lol. THE HOLY TRINITY OF ELDER GAYS ARE CAMPINGGGG! I’m- oh my god they’re so cute. “Marshmelon” this is cute as hell oh my god. They’re indulging and messing with Spock at the same time I’m dead! They’re singing ohh my god this gonna give me cavities with how sweet it is!!!

This Klingon dude is frickin ROCKING the eyeliner! Bruhhhh was the frickin spotlight necessary! Leave the gays alone SHHHH they’re SLEEPING!! Lmao. Yo I’ll be real this movie starts incredibly slowly but I seriously do not mind, it’s relaxing to not have to worry about missing important details if you look away for a second, it’s nice. WAIT? Does Jim’s shirt say GOT MILK?!!? Oh no, it says go climb a rock, oh thank god [“fatty milkers” flashbacks]

Seriously McCoy is just radiating so much old southern lady/gay energy in this movie and I love it so freaking much “if you ask me (and you haven’t) this is a horrible idea” he sounds like my North Carolina living Meemaw. Wow you can see Spock low-key taking psychic damage from seeing Sybok 😲 V’tosh Ka’tur of the highest order huh? Still disturbing that his government literally cast him out, that’s a red flag 😬. What happened with Sybok is probably a lot of why Spock was pressured to be as Vulcan as he was, I’m sure Sybok was a massive scandal/shame for Sarek, and knowing him, he’d end up making that his kids’ problem not his 🙄

Oh neat!! Chekov is in the in the captain’s chair. Oh this is the song they replaced Nichols’s voice for 😤 but also GIRL THAT WAS BADASS AND THAT SONG WAS A BOP! Quick question, wow these “alien” horses are somehow even worse than the unicorn dog (also it’s a desert planet, wouldn’t it be better to have, like, alien camels or something?) This dude’s Klingon is freakin impeccable btw! He’s really got the vibe down! Jim did you forget how fuckin bananas strong Vulcans are??? Sybok went like 😡☹️ when Spock pointed that laser rifle at him 😂😂😂 again even tho I know Scotty and Uhura are married but it’s scenes like getting held hostage right there where they radiate such POWER COUPLE energy GAWD! 🤩

Stay out of this Bones we’re having a lover’s quarrel! Jim is taking fucking psychic damage from this entire conversation lol. Okayyyy whatever Sybok is doing is definitely some kind of mind control type thing, that shit is creepy af no thank youuuuuu (spores anyone?). Oh my god Spock & Jim are so married lmao, that “I’m sorry” Vulcan kiss in the brig man Aw. (Oh man Magic’s of mega-tsu got devani mixed by that comment lame!) SCOTTYYYYYY!! YAS!

Yay rocket boot glomp! Lmfao! Sybok needs to brush up on his earth history Columbus did NOT figure out the world is round 🙄 Ah Scotty being like “listen, you’re not okay rn so I’m not really down for whatever you think you wanna do right now it can wait until you’re right in the head again” and they could’ve not done that and it would’ve been creepy (especially by today’s standards) but they didn’t! And that was awesome!

Bones being skeptical and has every right to be! He’s faced down would be gods and would-be messiahs before! Also I’ve seen people judge Bones for being the first to cave but Sybok totally did that shit to him without consent! He didn’t go back on his beliefs, Sybok forced him to! BONES PROTECTION SQUAD IS HERE AND ITS ME! Oh Bones, man, poor babeyyyy (fuck Sybok!) 😭😭😭 OH MY GOD BONESSSSSS Sybok leave him alone! Goddamnit! Leave him alone!

I think Jim can see Spock’s Sybok induced vision cuz they’re ✨Bonded✨ (it didn’t seem like they could see Bones’s, other than what Bones was doing). JIM KNOWS SO MUCH BETTER! ITS HOW HE BEAT THE SPORES ITS HIS CORE! I UNDERSTAND AND LOVE HIM FOR IT!!! Spock 😍😍😍 he’s like, you’re bullshit happiness pill doesn’t work on me cuz I am whole for the first time in my life, and I love my husband, and I already learned my lesson decades ago 💚🖖🏻💚 (who knew how important the character development from This Side of Paradise AND Return To Tommorow would be??? Hell yeah!)

I love Scotty so much 🥰 hardcore badass Hufflepuff from beginning to end! Also I hope Sybok appears in SNW that could be really really interesting if they do it right! ITS GOD (derogatory) REVERE HIM! Oh here comes that legendary question!! “What dies God need with a starship?” Red flag don’t call Jim a creature! Oh shit god has laxer eyes oh no lmao! Bones snaps out of whatever Sybok did to him when “God” hurts his friends and we LOVE HIM FOR ITTTT! Awww Spock & Sybok and be saaaaad, oh shit! Into the lightning to fight a mirror of yourself like Lazarus in that one episode!

OH SHIT THE KLINGONS ARE HERE! Oh damn Spock just swore a cuss the right way, at a Klingon General no less! General dude just went “caotain tell Kirk you are sorry!” LMAO! NOT IN FRONT OF THE KLINGONS 😂😂😂😍 KISS DAMNIT!! God this whole after scene is so good, maybe the god is the friends we made along the way. “I lost a brother once” you also lost SAM dummy, I know you were just telling Spock you love him but still. SHUT UP SPOCK IS PLAYING ROW ROW ROW YOUR BOAT ON HIS LYRE??

Okay, seriously, I unironically love this movie, it might be my favorite out of the ones I’ve seen so far actually. TMP felt like the movies getting their sea legs, but it was slow and messy, it wasn’t as thought provoking as it wanted to be (aside from Spock’s wonderful arc in that film). WoK & TSFS are amazing for drama and angst and Spirk content, but they weren’t really asking the big questions Star Trek is wonderful for. Then The Voyage Home is just plain silly and fun and wholesome. But this, this movie had depth! The whole premise is “what is god and is there is one?” I LOVE that as someone who has a very complicated relationship with spirituality. I also already loved the TOS episodes This Side of Paradise, Return To Tomorrow, The Omega Glory and The Way To Eden, and this movie had the best of those concepts! Sybok was such a fascinating antagonist/anti-hero and I hope we get to see him explored more on screen one day, even if it’s just through Discovery/SNW flashbacks. It may have started off slow and it’s not without its flaws but this felt like the Star Trekkiest TOS Star Trek movie so far!

For Timber and Twix?

FIRST OFF THANK YOU FOR ASKING ABOUT TIMBER, it’s really nice that people still care about him after a long time. This got so, so long, so it’s under the cut.

🥝 What does a bad mental health day look like for your OC? Walk us through it with them. What kind of things can help them out of this slump and what kinds of things comfort them when they start to feel like this?

TIMBER: There’s two kinds of bad days for him- ‘I just feel like garbage in general’ and ‘I have to interact with people way more than my battery allows’. ‘Garbage in general’ is often sparked by something reminding him of Shadow or him feeling like he can’t live up to the ideal he thinks his parents are setting for him. He tends to withdraw into himself on those days, meditating or burying himself in his books. The twins tend to grate on his nerves pretty easily when he’s on the edge, but Manik figured out that he doesn’t mind their presence as much as them being loud, so sometimes he’ll just sketch next to him while he’s reading. (It’s a tossup if it’ll help, though, but Timber generally tells him he’d rather be alone-alone and he’ll go.)

Sometimes he goes to spar with Lara-Su to work himself to exhaustion, although she learns to catch when it’s because of a bad day, because he tends to be even less talkative than usual. Generally it just goes away with time, but a good cup of tea and feeling like he’s being productive helps. He wouldn’t admit it, but being around someone who won’t push him to feel better means he tends to like Lara-Su more than his family on those days, since she understands what the pressure feels like.

When he’s got a drained battery, it’s similar, but he’s more comfortable with his family talking with him then, because it reminds him that he’s not a burden for not being as much of a social butterfly as his younger siblings. Just letting Manik or Sonya talk at him without expecting him to reciprocate is nice.

TWIX: She is really, really lonely sometimes. She doesn’t recognize that for what it is, just that she kind of aches and clings desperately to her one friend and her parents/Gir/Minimoose. She tends to just do whatever usually makes her happy but more aggressively, tearing out whatever weeds managed to slither into her greenhouse and setting the holosim battle program to high. If she doesn’t pay attention to it, it’ll go away. She’ll also drown it in sugar, and just wander around the city to see if she can spot anything interesting.

💤 What was your OC like as a baby, a child and as a teen? (if your OC is a teen or a child, what will they be like as an adult?). How have they changed since then? What lessons have they learned and what things about their youth do they miss the most? Do they have any general regrets?

TIMBER: Timber was actually a pretty fussy baby/toddler, but it was partially because he wasn’t able to fully control his chaos powers, and Sally couldn’t really help with that, so he always felt like he was bubbly soda on the inside and it came out as frustration. Working with the echidnas helped a lot, as did trying to teach him about expressing his feelings. People tended to nudge him to sort of push down his feelings a little out of worry he’d turn out more like his bio dad, and it ended up with him being... pretty repressed through a good chunk of his later childhood/teenage years, so he was mostly quiet except for brief bursts of anger when things boiled over. He’s resentful that he had to exist, because he thinks everyone sees him as a mistake.

As he got older, he withdrew a bit from his parents, but while he was a bit jealous of the twins at times, they never showed him anything but love, so he didn’t mind them, and Lara-Su and Julie-Su ended up basically family. After sealing Shadow, he started to come out of his shell a bit again, especially since people started trusting him a little more. He starts growing a little closer to his parents again, and eventually admits how bad it felt having to think they were scared of him. It’s good to get off his chest, and they work together to rebuild that frayed bridge.

He becomes very quietly confident, and he has a sort of dry sense of humor that you get to know better as you know him, because he’s got some serious walls up for most of his life that require time to be allowed in. He does wish sometimes things had worked out differently and they’d managed to stop Shadow permanently during the Tikhaos incident when he was seven, but he really doesn’t miss his childhood and prefers his 15+ years better. Timber ends up moving away from home but keeps contact with his family and is generally happy feeling like he was using his royal training to help people, even if it’s somewhere else.

TWIX: Twix was a nightmare baby, and if they hadn’t had advanced alien healing equipment she 100% would not have survived. Between her allergies, her hodgepodge organs, and the fact that she was sickly but loud as hell, it’s a miracle her parents didn’t go insane. As a kid, because of... well, all that and her tendency to shove so many things in her mouth that they seriously considered a muzzle, she was basically locked in the base as often as possible.

When she got to finally go to skool, she was an... odd child, to say the least, having no idea that her ‘norm’ from being raised by Zim and Dib did not translate to the ‘real world’, and dissecting roadkill during recess is kind of weird. She didn’t have many friends but clung very, very tightly to the few she managed to get. Mostly she was just really eager about stuff and lost in her own world at the same time.

As a teen, she was dealing with a resurgence of health problems as her human and irken hormones basically ended up at war, to the point where she went through an irken partial molt days after a really horrible acne breakout. (Luckily, it actually washed away the acne- lucky, for once!) She became more temperamental and chaotic, wanting it to basically be over because her parents promised her a Pak to help stabilize her when she hit 25. She doesn’t really like her teens much, and preferred both what she saw as the innocent fun of her childhood (although it wasn’t really innocent) and later her adulthood.

💗 What would your OC say is their best feature? Why? What do their friends / family / lover(s) / people they know think is their best feature and why?

TIMBER: He’d say his ability to absorb and use information since he prefers to think of himself as brains over brawn and, half-sarcastically, his smile. It’s a shy, half sort of thing, but there are fansites dedicated to the royal family and they always seem to like that from him. His family says it’s his ability to stay calm under pressure and how he’s a solid pillar to rely on, and Devi says it’s how he’s able to talk them out of almost any kind of trouble. (She’d agree on the smile thing, but unironically.)

TWIX: She’d say it’s her wit and her skill with a scalpel and gardening gloves. She’s very proud of her experiments and isn’t afraid to talk herself up because she knows she can walk the walk. Her parents pretty much agree. Tulip loves specifically how enthusiastic she is, and how she just does not care what anyone else thinks.

🌷 In what ways would your OC alter their body if they could? How would they do it using mundane means (hair dye, surgery, make-up?). What is their ideal look for themself?

TIMBER: Oh boy does he feel alien in his own skin at times. If he could, he’d switch his species from hedgehog to chipmunk in a heartbeat, or at least change how his quills look. He probably bands his quills up a lot, letting them grow just long enough to pull into a ponytail since it’s not like he can spin-dash and use them that way. Mostly he sees his body as the vessel for his ‘self’, something he just has to deal with. I can see him getting a small tattoo to match with Devi’s after they get married though, since she gets a bunch of them. Just something cute and symbolic like linked rings with roses or something. It’s a little step towards feeling more like he ‘belongs’ in his body.

TWIX: If she could get rid of her asston of allergies and medical problems, absolutely she’d do that. She likes being a hybrid and wouldn’t want to pick being either just irken or just human, it’s just all the shit that comes with it. When she’s older, she definitely gets some tattoos, and the Pak alters her body to mostly keep her from the wear and tear of aging. She’s actually pretty happy with how she looks on the outside.
