one thing you need to know about me is that I do not have the constitution to b a hater. I am too people please-y for my own good . In some aspects this is something I need to work on (as someone who is afraid of conflict and still has residual issues with like. Needing approval on every situation etc etc) but for the most part I’m not someone who can self-describe as a hater. Okokok good episode! Tbh I thought “The Return” would be Echo’s permanent return to the Batch, but narratively that wouldn’t’ve made sense for him anyway. And I am LOVING the fact that it is actually Crosshair’s return to the turning point in his life, followed by his full return to the batch. Like yeah, last ep they re-met, but he hadn’t fully arrived until the end of this episode and GAAAAHHH I love it!
Also the dialogue is just totally A1 chefs kiss mwah this season (or maybe I just appreciate sarcasm)

⚫️ When the situation requires it, for example at the goblin camp/Moonrise, they can speak ‘with dead woman’s voice’ and change their whole demeanour back to the Lolth’s priestess they once were. Their posture becomes more confident, voice louder and more animated, they smile and act with practised courtesy which can very easily turn to condescension or cold threats.
It must be a jarring shift to witness.

Brenda is easily my second favourite character. I feel like my favourite is obvious at this point. Ik people hate on her in the books (and love her in the films) but I think she was an interesting character.
Definitely a crush of mine so I'm happy to actually write for her.
Though, this one is a bit shorter because writing dialogue from the movies for every single fic is seriously starting to slow me down lol- I'm doing this bad boy from memory. And since this is a simpler idea that takes place in a short space of time- less words, yanno. Hope y'all understand.
AWAKENING

SUMMARY: See above. Movie based fic.
WARNINGS: Inappropriate language, the Scorch, no actual romance because the prompt is all about teasing and you being a disaster gay, mention of Newtmas because even if Tommy doesn't see Newt that way- it's pretty much canon that Newt had a thing for Thomas. WICKED being WCKD because movie.
The boys were thrilled when a girl showed up in the Glade. They thought that they'd finally have a shot at flirting and maybe even get somewhere with it.
Luckily, Alby was there to shut that down real fast.
And you took no interest in any of them.
You liked them plenty enough. Minho's protective and funny. Newt's realistic. Frypan is a good cook and keeps spirits up. Thomas is brave. Teresa is... there.
Teresa. That's an interesting one. She's pretty by any means, but you never really liked her. She distracted Thomas and clearly has different views to the rest of you- which became obvious when you escaped WCKD into the Scorch.
Dealing with Cranks and losing Winston was a tough blow. And now you have Aris, who is quiet but smart and a useful addition to the group.
So when you broke into a factory to escape a lightning storm (where Minho nearly died), you face a bunch of chained up Cranks.
The next thirty seconds or so are pure chaos of unbridled screaming and fumbling of lights.
"I see you've met our guard dogs," an unfamiliar voice says, the grinding of a door startling you all as you back into a huddle.
The girl has short hair and casual clothes, not that much different to the ones you used to wear in the Maze. Minho yanks you behind him.
"Stay back!" He shouts, but the girl weaves through the infected, seemingly completely unfazed as she reaches you.
"You guys look like shit," she scoffs, smirking. You stand on your tip-toes, peaking over Minho, your heart skips a beat when she makes eye contact with you.
Her smirk grows and he eyes flicker before she turns around.
"Come on, follow me." She pauses, looking over her shoulder. "Unless you wanna stay here with them."
Thomas takes the lead, as per usual, and you all cautiously follow, desperately trying to avoid the walking corpses.
She tells you all her name and monologues about the factory and some guy called Jorge without even looking back at you guys.
"No one's come out of the Scorch in a long time- you've got him curious." She looks back, making eye contact with you. "Me too."
You feel warm, looking away and stumbling slightly over a rise in the floorboards, which leads Newt to having to catch you.
It's awkward as you walk into a large office room, a man looms over a desk as Brenda gets his attention. He turns and starts speaking, but you can't seem to focus as Brenda takes a seat a few feet away from you.
You've never been attracted to anyone before, but as Thomas talks to Jorge, your gaze is locked in the girl sitting on the sofa.
She's confident, sarcastic and seemingly playful, whilst also completely remaining in control.
She notices you staring, smirking at you and looking you up and down. You immediately look away, your face burning, eyes cast at the ground.
Oh God.
She's hot.
Are you... gay?
You'd never considered it before, especially when Teresa came up and you didn't feel anything for her. But I guess she just wasn't your type.
Your type is apparently sarcastic street rats who could probably kill you with their bare hands.
Figures.
Though, you probably should've figured it out when you spent the only life as you remember surrounded by boys and didn't fancy a single one.
Is this the gay panic Newt spoke about when Thomas appeared?
You look at Newt, who is already looking at you, squinting. He looks between you and Brenda before grinning.
And that's when you all get grabbed.
Brenda stands up, grabbing the back of Thomas' neck and scanning it. Brenda's face drops as she stares at the machine.
She looks at you, guilt crossing her face for a second.
And then you get tied up.
Hanging from the ceiling as you all desperately squirm, shouting at Minho to shut his mouth as he makes relentless sarcastic comments, which just further dampens your mood.
"Yanno, (Y/N)," Newt snickers, "I don't think I'm a fan of your new girlfriend."
"Huh?" About four different people respond.
"Shut up, Newt- now is not the time," you try and pull yourself up, fiddling with the restraints keeping you air-born. But it's no use.
"Yeah, well, it's not like we have anything bloody better to talk about."
"The shuck's he on about?" Minho grumbles.
"Nothing." You dramatically cross your arms, which is actually quite a comedic sight since you're upside down.
"She has a crush on our kidnapper."
"What?"
"What?"
"Come again?"
They all look at you- well, they attempt to. Frypan is unvoluntarily slowly spinning.
"I don't! Newt's just... bored?" That's the best you could come up with
"Bored?" He barks a laugh. "You were totally checking her out, shank."
"I wasn't!"
"You were."
"I was not!"
"You absolutely were."
"She is pretty cute," Thomas says, and you inwardly cringe, not wanting to seeing Newt or Teresa's reaction to that one.
"Yanno," Minho says, "that makes way more sense. You like shuckin' girls; I knew it wasn't me."
"Shut up, Minho," at least three of you say.
"So, how exactly are we gonna get out here so (Y/N) can get herself a girlfriend?" Minho continues.
"(Y/N)'s girlfriend is the reason we're tied up," Frypan corrects.
"Can we please not call Brenda my girlfriend?"
"Too late."
"For shuck's sake."
That's when Jorge returns, asking questions about the Right Arm and nearly sending you plummeting into the abyss below.
So, you come up with a plan to escape.
"Minho, put your back into it, dammit!" You shout as he tries to push Teresa.
"I'm- Shuck! I'm tryin'!"
It's actually disastrous.
How you all managed to get out of the Maze alive is an absolute mystery to you.
Somehow, miraculously, you manage to force Teresa onto the platform surrounding you. And then Janson's whiney voice comes through a loud speaker.
So, it becomes a mad rush to escape.
Which then goes terribly when one of Jorge's men attacks you.
Thomas manages to hold his own, but when the man gets his gun back, you're on the verge of accepting defeat.
It's been a long day.
That's when a gunshot rings out and the guy's body hits the floor. You all look up to find Brenda standing there, gun in hand.
She looks directly at you. "You okay?"
You feel small and fuzzy under her gaze. You're starting to understand all the fuss the Gladers had about women.
You nod, stiffly and awkwardly.
"Okay, come on, we gotta move." She waves you all towards her, and it takes you all a second but you follow.
"Hey, maybe your girlfriend isn't so bad after all," Minho jokes as he slips past you, taking the lead.
"Shuck off, Minho- she's not my girlfriend," you whisper-yell as you storm after him.
"Yeah, a girl can only dream, right?"
This was pretty fun to write, but sorry for no actual romance, unfortunately after this there's a dramatic group split and then nothing really slows down until the end of the film and I simply could not bring myself to do another entire movie piece. So, just a fun little unserious one-shot.

Building Dango: Part 4
We're so far in and still have so fucking much to do. I am fearing I may not have this guy made in time. Which I'll have to stomach through clenched teeth.
We're moving on to priming. And I'll be using Flexbond for this. I previously used a spray version, which fucking stinks. (If any of you guys remember the making of my kenku fursuit then you remember the horrors of gassing my family.)
This is odourless and I can slap quite thick bits of it on there.
It's water based and kinda smells like PVA glue (suspicious...) but honestly it worked wonders. I was hoping it would cover up the majority of roughness and imperfections, and with three coats, it did mostly that! Kudos to my friend for pointing me in the direction of this substance.
It took about 3-4 hours to dry on each coat, and I could safely do it inside. Unfortunately there are paintbrush streaks. But I can stomach that.
In between waiting for the coats to dry, I got to work on the eyes. I'm using this mesh as the base. It's nice and thick, does have a bend to it, and has fantastic view through the many holes in it. And since it's already black, I only need to paint the pupil. Though I have also painted a set of eyes for a friend that were fully painted and they looked fine too. Poking any clogged up holes IS a chore though, so to make sure there's as little of that as possible, you gotta water down your acrylic paint and slowly work your way up with coats. I haven't tried dried brushing it, mainly because that method is quite messy, and watered down colour worked better for me.
However, this didn't go without a tragedy. While trying to get the paint to dry faster, I often use a hairbrush. But. Well I was holding the mesh up in the air and drying it. And I guess I held the hairbrush too close and it bent the metal just enough to make dents from where my fingers held it. And. Unfortunately. Begudgingly. I could not restore the mesh back. So I had to paint the second eye all over again. So if you're drying with a hairbrush- do so on a flat surface.
For the JAW.
And here's where I start to realise I'm doing this backwards.
For the Jaw I will be using chicago screws. Originally I was going to use this hinge I got off etsy from a polish maker:
But Dango's head is already quite. Tight. And these would add another centimeter on each side of the head and there's just not enough space for that- nor do I think they would fit actually....
SO HERE WE ARE: CHICAGO SCREWS.
Chicago screws are originally used for leather work, and come in various sizes. The main body of the screw is sleek, so the jaw can freely move around on the middle part, while the actual tube is hollow with end being the 'screw' part. This screw part will be inside the jaw so I can freely unscrew it if I ever need to. While two pieces of my high density foam are about 2cm in thickness when smooshed together, I opted for 17mm thick screws instead. Which meant I head to drill holes, then indents into those holes, to make sure the screws fit in.
I did this because A: the flat part of the screw is going to poke through to the outer layer of the skull that will not have fabric covering it. It needs to be flush with the skull so that its not as easily seen. I made it sink into the foam by another 1-2mm so I could then cover it in sculpting foam and then.... prime it again. Like an egit. Anyway.
And B: I didn't want the screws to poke me into my cheeks. Even though they're flat, Id rather drill into the foam and have it flush against it then poke out and be texture hell yanno?
Always test the drill bits on scraps though before you commit to the real deal! It took me a while to get the hang of the actual drill bit of my rotary carver, but in the end I was confident in actually drilling the mask.
ISN'T THIS CLEAN. God I'm so proud of it.
So I was drilling again after priming shit. I should've done this before the priming stage. But tbf they only arrived in the mail after I primed so. Whatever. (spoiler: this isnt the last time I pull out the fucking carver)

hmmm depends on why the darling is frightened tbh are they always afraid or is this started after cerelos took them the first time? i do imagine he'd be pretty upset and even offended, though he won't outwardly show his feelings. he'd probably start ordering the servants to disappear whenever the darling is in sight, be invisible, to further isolate them, to force them either to face their loneliness and/or accept cerelos as their emperor and husband. since humans are in nature social, they'd naturally long for some form of company and possibly some skin to skin contact.
in short, since the coecrced sex doesn't seem to do enough, cerelos would've likely infict some psychological damages on his darling to force them to accept him. he wouldn't be…physically abusive, no, but he will emotionally and mentally cripple his darling without relying on cruel words and uses some amount of gaslighting.
regardless, you will only have him and you will love him. he is, after all, your emperor and husband. why wouldn't you embrace him and his power?

Oh boy, he's a tough one for me, so I'll try to splruge some thoughts. (Sorry I've been slow with asks lately, I promise I'm working on them, also I really need to rewatch DRA at some point but I am tired atm so there may be some inaccuracies).
(under the cut, DRA and some SDRA2 spoilers throughout).
So DRA Maeda is honestly my favourite protagonist in canon and another. Due to the whole reveal at the end and the divine luck factor there's quite a lot of layers to him that you don't think about at a surface level but then you scratch it a little and it's all like "hey this is kinda clever" whether it was intentional or not. But a lot of that would be talking about Utsuro, not Maeda so I'm not really gonna cover it much.
I will say I do love the system headcanons that have been covered by yourself, Nikei, and Dragon (I was going to link posts but jesus finding posts on tumblr is so goddmn hard). I haven't researched the topic well enough to comfortably talk about it myself, and I think you guys have done a pretty thorough job already.
I would like to talk about something that has always bothered me a little, and that's how Maeda/Utsuro are portrayed in the flashback. During the flashback and when Kinjo references their time at Hope's peak, he's referred to as being more Utsuro. But then that doesn't line up with the picture found of the class, where he's clearly appearing as Maeda. I'd like to think that they existed together before the real Yuuki's memories were implanted onto him.
(This is 99% me wanting to have both Maeda and Utsuro in pre-canon haha, but it is interesting). As I said before I've not done adequate research and I don't want to accidentally offend, happy to remove this section entirely if necessary.
So I like him a lot since he's kinda just a kid, yanno? He gets annoyed with the other classmates, he's downright mean sometimes (he's kinda brutal to Satsuki in her FTEs, iirc), and he's kinda bitter in places (him refusing to help Kinjo in chapter 3). It just makes him feel more, real? If that makes sense.
And like in trials, since none of the trials are that hard that we don't get totally baffled, him leading doesn't seem that off. The "smarter" kids of the class are either unhinged (Kinjo) holding information for no reason (Rei), underused by Linuj (Kakeru, Kanata, Kinji), or have a chapter 5 plot device in their head (Mikako). I'd probably want someone like Maeda to lead trials too.
I guess there's that kinda lingering thing that due to divine luck, any leap of logic would always be correct, but it didn't feel jarring since he'd always come across as kinda pragmatic. That and the leaps in logic aren't the level of crazy that SDRA2 chapter 2 and 3 had.
He's also flawed, he doesn't always say the right thing. He doesn't give out hope speeches (that I recall at least, I could be wrong on that one), he succumbs to the motive in chapter 4 just as much as the others do. He holds grudges over the course of the game, he's devastated over Kinjo's actions in chapter 5. Actually his relationship with all three survivors + Taira are really good.
I'm not hugely fond of some of the FTEs with him tho, I sometimes get the impression that they were written earlier? He feels more like the generic protagonist is some of them. Rei's feels like one of the worst offenders of this, like earlier in the game Maeda doesn't really put up with Kinjo's or Rei's bullshit in their attitude to others, but in her FTE he puts up with her shit to hear her story? Idk it felt weird to me.
I do however love his interactions with most of the rest of the cast in the story itself, mainly Kinjo because kshkjefnad they are disasters and I love them so much.
One little thing, I really would've liked to see him snap a little more in canon. There's obviously the part with Mikako, but like so many fucked up things happen and there were like at least three other opportunities off the top of my head?. Can you imagine the slight change in his expression, but his whole vibe just becomes so much darker and the reactions of the people around him?. Kinjo and Akane's reactions (both pre and post chapter 5) would've been so interesting.
Imma probs get on that rewatch now and realise that I missed a load of stuff and feel very silly. But hey, here's a tired mess of thoughts that yous are all free to rip apart and tell me I'm wrong haha.

so i finished the second palace
look i had a bad depression day, i pretty much did nothing but drink matcha and eat pepitas and play this fucking game for the entire day. i don't recommend any of this.
lets try to sum up lmao
the school actually hires a therapist, which is suspiciously proactive of them lmao. i love the girl whose like "his voice is hot" as a person who is a connoisseur of Hot Voices, he's Fine. Like... Logan Cunningham he is not. But he's fine?
He is also the Councillor Arcana, which is one I have to level for the extra content, so I am suspicious of him too.
He is also not above bribery to get people to come say hi, so clearly he is a wise man. The trio here are supposed to go see him, along with everyone who's had direct dealings with Kamoshida. No one is hyped for this, but he seems nice, so.
of course you are, and of course he wants Reverie to help. Every time i see Reverie, i think of that Jeff Winger bit, "Why do so many people flock to me? Is it my height?"
I do enjoy snacks is the thing. Also it's fascinating to me that they apparently added a character into this game who is just here to be a shrink for these kids. How fucked up is this game gonna get, lmao.
The Councillor isn't a standard of RWS or Thoth or TdM. I know, shocking, right? Apparently it's a pull from a Spanish deck, so I'm looking at that card. it replaces the Magician, so... that's interesting. The Magician is a fairly good teacher, albeit kind of a hubristic show-off about it. The original card is under the sun and has the infinity symbol above the head and holds an Ankh and a wand. So they're wielding the metaphorical key to life but also a wand of power.
So... working as a teacher to help people gain control of their lives. Yanno, like a therapist would.
ROLLS MY DANG EYES AT MYSELF. Anyway.
On the way to school, some dude starts following Ann which freaks her out.
I DIDN'T KNOW THIS GAME HAD MATT MERCER. finally some good fucking food.
This guy is Yusuke and he's an artist and wants Ann to model for him in hopes it'll inspire his next work. His manner of speech is fun, very serious but Dramatique and kind of annoyed at people who don't buy into the drama. An aesthete!
Also his teacher drives by, so he's the next target obviously. Never trust the dude in the car who shows up right after your next party member. He's a super famous artist, Madarame.
Also Yusuke introduces himself them steps forward, knocking Ryuji out of the way. Lmao.
To be clear: Ryuji has never done anything wrong ever. My dislike of him is completely unfair. But also: lmao.
At Madarame's art exhibit, Ann happens to be taken by a specific painting. Yusuke reacts really oddly to her interest in it and tries to steer her towards another.
So the gist of this one is: Madarame is this ascetic artist gentleman type who is infamous for using a very wide range of techniques and styles in his work. Wow such talent! Except obviously he's stealing the work of his many students and claiming it as his own.
The Phantom Thieves peg that Yusuke either knows about this or is a victim of it himself, as Madarame's only current pupil, so Ann has to take the modeling gig to get closer to him and discover the truth.
BUT ITS A NUDE MODELING GIG. GASP.
This whole bit just made me kind of nod along. (Which might be the Depression Day to be clear.) Like, the game isn't excessively horny about Ann having to get nude for art, but also Ann is so not interested in doing this shit, compounded by yo her literal origin story in this game is having to perform being this sexual object for Kamoshida, so this whole diversion was.... not as bad as it could be but also just felt so unnecessary.

because this game is a coward. i would throw Reverie on that grenade in a fucking instant, both to protect Ann because putting her in this position Sucks, and also I bet it'd be very funny to play through Reverie doing it. Also, Reverie is pretty objectively hot, why shouldn't he be the model?

Also there is a funny bit where a kid hears meowing on the train and Reverie pretends that Morgana is a doll that makes noise when you touch its head, so of course "Time to button mash."

my goal is to try and make at least a post a day on here, even if its nothin very interesting to anybody else
i feel like,,, if i can finally successfully make it a habit to post and engage, it might just trick my brain from task avoidance
so! post done and heres the part for me thats fun:

the books im currently reading concurrently are some conlang construct books mr am got me that have been on my wishlist for ages, along with a very cool book about black holes and theories surrounding them, which mr am loaned to me from his collection
one of the things we share is a love of science and space, and more specifically, stars and time travel and all the things about our known universe that black holes straight up break
i have a lot of fun chatting with him; i really cant overstate the value of a friend so genuine, who i am never too much of, and i can talk about all my interests without the reflexive dread creeping on in
all that bullshit i learned growing up, yanno the kind: "im boring, im dumb, who could possibly enjoy swapping rock facts, much less listen to hours of it even when it our interests DONT align"
like, theres so much else about my friendship with him thats meaningful, but thats top tier right there
and lately? ive gotten a few others in my corner, who when i share, im starting to feel like that with them, too
its so weird! to have gone from one person to a tiny community of folks (and i mean little! its like,, five? six? of us max usually) that thrive on a love of the weird and the cringe and the stubborn hope
plenny others have waxed more eloquent than me about this sorta thing--how fandom spaces come sorta pre-fab with common, shared interests that its fans bring, and they build their fort and theres rules already laid out, and it becomes a second (sometimes first) home, of sorts
but when its starting from scratch, when its about stuff and is made by people that others just wouldnt ordinarily invest in or look at without outside prompting, thats not the same! its not a bad thing, more neutral, but its stressful, its really such a lonely feeling
except--when you finally find it, that person, and thats a community of its own, and it can grow, and suddenly you swappin stories, throwing jokes! and memes and links and hey inevitably, theres also those what ifs about your little guys
and everything is srs and sacred and everything is hilarious and "i cant believe this is real life" levels of stupid
you get to learn habits and quirks and whole personalities
"hey this reminded me of you"
"hey, check out this view"
"oh, thats right, yer the possum dude"
"you love medieval lore--and i read this, and what do you think about it, too"
its suddenly kind of a fandom space after all, and its like, still work of course, reaching for and keeping more and being a person with, it aint that neat or pretty
but its got warmth and joy and expansion, after a lifetime of making yourself small enough to try and fit
you end up fans of your friends, fans of their life, hyping each other up and up and up about the most mundane shit and it starts to look like not even the skys the limit
planning things to do together, spending long hours into the night to parallel play with vidgames or watchin movies like time aint nothin thisll last forever, right?
(it doesnt, always, but thats also part of this, and the ones that stay, the ones that work with you
those are the ones waking up to backread your chats like its the morning newspaper
and your life matters
like its better than the best hot goss, its saturday morning cartoons and their favour ice cream flavours
only now we adults and its also commiseratin over breakups and bills, and cross-country moves, and its celebrating that i saw chickens in the yard today and you finally got your boygirlthemsomethin gender fuckery juice)

i feel some kinda way about all that
i never thought id make it so far that im nearly forty
never thought id get to ask "okay, well, now what? what do i wanna do, and try, and be?"
im... starting small i think, and im for reals happy, happier than i have been in years; i learned how to be alla my friends biggest fans, and im starting to finally believe
other people can feel that way about me

i also like making them suffer for story and development purposes but my FAVORITE part is absolutely slapping colorful bandaids ontop of it after. give me that comfort with my hurt, the HEALING. its just so good to me, both just in general and story wise. something something healing, strength, life goes on. :3
also im completely agree, jill would not trust him even the tiniest bit. i love how complex her relationship is with everyone like its just so interesting to think of. like how relaxed di leon and jills acquaintanceship is, while on the other hand she has negative trust in re6 leon. good. :3 and god i just love claire period. i wish leon and claire friendship was more popular bc honestly i love it. (i havent seen ID yet but my point still stands, their friendship dynamic just has so much potential)
also YES i love talking about trust and deceit bc its all so like complicated and is a major gray area. YES, they would be fucking _angry_ and hurt and obviously feel so fucking betrayed. but after the shock and anger wears off. like. i can see them trying to understand it. like. yanno?? bro i cannot brain lmao. like yeah he kept it secret and that's pretty bad for multiple reasons for them, but considering what they've dealt with and seen with BOWs--and obviously the government learning about this, god forbid they get any ideas or put him through even more hell--it's understanding for him to be terrified to even mention it. and like, i can genuinely see di leon try to defuse it and be understanding, especially with his experience with buddy in damnation albeit not entirely the same. (chris too, if in this au he's gone through the piers situation. :( ) and depending on how LONG it is until its revealed, its fucking hard fully breaking bonds and trust that have developed over time. like they WANT to believe in him and that he honestly doesnt want to do or have any malicious intentions, not to mention for DI leon its literally. himself. and he knows himself, and that man has such a bleeding heart, that he knows how he is with internalizing things, and running away, and just dealing with trauma in awful ways. some awful shit just managed to happen to this version of himself :( and its just such a damn slippery situation. they gotta make sure that resi6 leon is like, safe both to others and himself, and have to work out just. all the fucked up shit that went on. i am full on the team of working shit out :3 itll take a fucking while to reestablish trust and better communication (re6 leon is absolutely god awful at both working through and communicating his issues but time and effort is good and i love that shit!!) but i like to think it all works out in the end. stuff thats worth it takes time and effort and all that fun shit. :3

Ah! It makes sense to me. At least I think it does.
It would be a huge mixed bag of emotions and just overall issues between everyone. Nothing's going to be dandy in the beginning. RE6 gets fucking interrogated and slightly beat up (because him and DI do fight at the start and RE6 is HURT already from being practically exploded. Also he gets smooshed by DI, who probably weighs alot more than he does in terms of muscle.)
The type of BOW that RE6 Leon is not meant to be crazy powerful.
Thanks to C-virus development and infusion, the Plagas the DSO designed are meant to be wholly symbiotic and free from restrictions their Spanish counterparts had. Basically Verdugo 2.0, but appearing entirely normal until the changes are required and able to return to form as needed which includes the tail being able to simply fall off and a short chrysalis state to undo anything else. It's still horribly painful.
That'll be horrific if it gets out cause its literally a fast-lane to super soldier creation lol.
RE6 Leon is just a big cat. Thats it.
When it comes to the BOW shit getting out to the DI gang, RE6 harbors not an ill will bone in his body. What happened to him is not his fault. How he deals with it is because of what he's been conditioned for. He is what Leon would've turned out to have been if the DSO were more-- hands on with wanting to improve their assets. Human rights be damned. Leon isn't a human being to the government. Just some tool to be tossed around willy nilly at whatever they want and played with as some doll. DI knows this because he experiences this to a degree, though not being a labrat lol. The others don't know about how he's treated.
DI Leon having to look inward at himself in order to try and bridge gaps despite his differences (mostly in temperament/attitude) compared to RE6. Their experiences veer drastically enough. Chris as well as Claire needing to change approaches.

OKAY im finally alone so TW for anyone reading this, i will be mentioning rape & knives/scars.

I have only the one on AO3, I just started my account there not too long ago
2. What's your total A03 word count?
My wordcount is 78,284! It's one of the longest fics I've written in a long while
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Nowadays it's pretty much TAZ all the way down, but there's some old stuff I have on this blog that's WTNV adjacent and a couple things for The Arcana mobile game (playing in the setting with OCs, as is a preference of mine in general). I haven't locked up the deep archives of Marvel and Ranger's Apprentice and fuckin' Leverage, but I'm not gonna help you find them either
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
The only one I have on AO3 is Virtue and Vice, but the most popular fic I can find on here is Firelight and Beach Nights 1 & 2
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I love to respond to comments when I get them! I find them very encouraging and I will talk your ear off (or type your eyes off? is that a good perversion of that phrase? lol) about my Thoughts if you let me
6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I don't know that I really have any with angsty endings? Most of my angsty ones are the ones I wrote alongside my rp with @the-barista-district as tie on/lead ins to that storyline
7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Virtue and Vice has an ending that I'm really proud of, I feel like I managed to go full-circle on their story and end with a lot of potential and hope for the future. It's a story that became about growing up and choosing your family and who you want to be, and I lived in it for a year.

I have not and would cry (then delete the comment, bc fuck'em) if I did
9. Do you write smut?
I have written smut, yes. The stuff that's publicly posted is not my best (many years old now) and I won't link it, but it's all appropriately tagged #fanfic and #nsfw if you want to go searching (why?)

It has never occurred to me to do so. I'm generally more comfortable doing OC insert fic (with the exception of some TAZ stuff. Rping has helped me to figure out Kravitz so I'll write him sometimes) and I wouldn't know how to go about a crossover in that sort of niche

Taakitz is the one I gravitate towards, though I can also be persuaded by a Taagnus and a Blupjeans
15. What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
I've got a Taakitz fic on the back burner where Krav is a ghost but there's a time-recursion aspect and he thinks he's the one being haunted for a bit. I'd like to finish that but my brain has decided I'm doing something else (it's a fun something else)(still debating if I'll post)
16. What are your writing strengths?
I enjoy the characters and relationships that I build. Some are stronger than others, but I feel like I can generally get to a point where they're believable, and different dynamics can shine through. I love to get bogged down in the "where's the difference between what they're willing to say/do, and what they're actually trying to communicate", "how do they feel and how do they think they feel"
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
I have to agree with Noodyl here and say that tense is hard, POV is difficult (staying as close as I want the narration to feel is the part that gets me more than head-hopping). Getting into established characters is especially difficult (hense, OCs)
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
I think it can be cool and have considered many times adding Spanish to things, pero no hablo ni escribo mucho en español (heh)

One of my earliest is from the Ranger's Apprentice by John Flanagan, hidden deep in the archives of redacted where I shall not link the general public

There's been a lot of stories I love and a lot I've lived in over the years, even from the before tumblr times. Especially from those times. I'm just going to say Virtue and Vice again bc it's recent and I love it and I'm not linking to anything from my teenage years bc yeeesh

I honestly don't know who I need to smack with a pillow more; Uncle B for telling Reth the joke, or Reth for telling me the joke.
Reth decided I was doing good enough at cooking to try making berry pie. Huzzah! Except. Yanno. The only name I can remember for myself is Berry.
Maybe I should make them both a pie (whenever Uncle B finally admits he has blueberry seeds for me. I know he does!) and then smush it in their faces!
Ugh.
Now I'm the one being petty.
So, I had to tell Jel that Tish's request meant I wouldn't be able to see him every day. He looked very depressed about it, but said he'd try not to mope around that much. He also asked if I thought Tish was being petty, and I just kind of shrugged.
I mean, it's kind of comforting if she is. She's so... she's always happy, in a way that I guess could be natural, but also feels kind of creepy. So if this is her being petty because Jel and I are feeling out a romantic relationship, it makes her seem more... Well, human, I guess? Or at least more like a real person who feels more than just bright and sunny all the time.
Anyways, I promised Jel that I didn't mind, and honestly, I don't. I mean, I mind not getting to see him every day, obviously, but I don't mind helping Tish. Though I think she's got more faith in my ability to improvise than I do, that's for sure.
This trip out to Bahari was weird but... fruitful too. I found way more Palium than I thought I would (ironically I was hunting iron) and a few things that made me either curious or smile. Like, that little bluff there, it looks like a face!
I also want to know what this says, as well as what it's for. It looks like a shrine, like one in the Remembrance Garden, but whose?
This was in the cave with the two geysers, above where the weird shrine thing is. I don't know what it's doing there, but it was an interesting find, that's for sure.
I did end up hunting for some books for Caleri too. That was... eventful. But it also led me to something else, some sort of artifact that I think is supposed to be for Jina, but I can't figure it out. I'll hold onto it for a bit... maybe it's water damaged and useless, but maybe it'll fix itself if I keep it dry and safe.

Thanks for the steak dinner the other day (and for teaching me how to make it). And good news! I have an oven now! And I even didn't burn too many things, go me.
I was reading in the library the other day about ancient shape-shifting trickster spirits that like to play pranks on people. And y'know, something weird has been happening lately. I've been seeing this abandoned glider around in random places. Sometimes it's just sitting in weird spots. Sometimes it's… kind of floating. In the air, without moving. I think I might be being followed around by a tanuki?

You know…. I'm not sure why I said that just now. The thought just kind of came to me in the moment. Pretty weird to know what a tanuki is when I don't even know what my name used to be, huh? Feels a little unsettling. …Does this kind of stuff happen to you too?
In lighter news, today Elouisa asked me what my favorite cryptid was, to which I replied "me!" (I'm technically not wrong, yeah?), leaving her quite baffled to my great satisfaction, and after a moment she conceded my point. Heh.
By the way, Jel's been acting… weird. In a good way, but he's like weirdly chipper. Then while we were chatting I mentioned something about you and he turned bright red (or, well, purple). What'd you do to him? (I'm kidding. It's not really my business either. …buuut I am really curious though).
Okay, letter's getting long now so I'll leave it here for today.

There's a lot to tell them in person, honestly. But it's... it's really comforting to know that I'm not the only one who does weird memory things. Like. I know what a tankui is (I've actually seen the weird floating glider myself...), but I don't know how I know it. And I know Berry isn't actually my name, but it makes me happy when people call me that, so that's my name now, and...
I've tried asking at the phoenix shrine, and also the dragon shrine, but all they do is make me feel like I have more energy. I really don't think this religious stuff is for me, but it's harder to ignore if it's... well, if it's really real?

I think I'm just going in circles now, so I'll call it here, go fall into bed, and then bug Jel first thing tomorrow!

Mattys POV
I didn't wake up too much that night, I was calm for once wasn't restless I just slept. I don't really remember what time it was that I went to sleep it wasn't to long after I called Ross though. I woke up to no alarm or Louis this morning though so my mum must have let me lie in. Bless her. I lay there in bed for around ten minutes really just staring at the roof relaxing in the quiet of the house just basking in it. Then I get up to roll a cigarette picking up my lighter from the bed side table then climb up onto my windowsill and smoke out of the window, slowly , watching the busy streets and people pass by, It so interesting watching people going about there normal lives , how many of them could be suffering but still just take the day head on you know. I drag out the cigarette and just enjoy the peace and people watching. When I'm finished is when I decide to see what my friends are up too. I open up Snapchat first off there's a few messages from Ross asking how I'm doing , if I'm going to school , then when he released I wasn't , just one saying he'll drop by later. I then spot a message from George and when I open it my mouth drops and I gasp "fuck me", he's shirtless ,
his hairs down, his arms look strong and his shoulder so broad I can't take my eyes away from my screen I happen to be staring even well after the picture has gone. I shake my head to get myself to concentrate a little I then feel some movement in my lower body and I left up the covers a little and see I have a semi "Wow that's not happened on it's own in a while" , I kind of don't really want to make it go away, it hasn't happened in its own in so long it's a good feeling. No if I talk to George he might be able to help actually might make it better so that's when I actually decide to reply even though it's been sat on opened for like 5 minutes now, I send off a cheeky little message that hopefully he understands that I'm letting him know I might be ready "
“That's not the best way to wake a man up G 🫠😉, I know I said it takes a while to get things going sometimes but stuff like that will surely work" , and really I usually does take so long now a days to get me worked up , I've been with a few girls in the past few months and they've really had to go for it the meds made it really difficult but that fact it's back to "normal" must mean Georgies doing something right. My hand trails down my body and stops at my waist and of my boxers and I'm kinda nervous about it I don't know why. But before I have a second to even do anything a message comes through from George "I hope you liked it" , bro I can guarantee I more than liked it, I want his help to fix it but I know he's on school and it's kinda upsetting BUT maybe messing with him at school might be a little fun and a little risky, I know what this lads like. So I just send another message back just of me in bed "
More than satisfactory Darling ...but I may have to go sort myself out first before I chat yanno", my hand is now in my boxers and typing with one hand isn't the easiest thing to do but I'm going to do it if I have to. My other hand is just slowly rubbing myself slowly just releasing some pressure it feels good actually. His next snap comes through and he looks looks amazing as always all flustered and cheeks a deep tinge of red and I know he's trying to keep himself composed a little " This is not the right place Matthew", oh trust me I know it's not but if I can just mess around for a little longer that would be fun. The fact he also called me Matthew in this instant send an jolt of excitement right through me, it makes me shiver a little bit. This time I try another tactic, I pull up the camera and flip it and take my hands from my boxers and pull the duvet down a little as I film it , sending it to him with a smile on my face then I quickly send another quick message after letting him know there's no sound so he's safe to play it but i captioned the video with
" You can't be seriously telling me you don't want to see", No picture message comes from his end this time and it's kinda s sad but all I get is a " Love you know I want too , but I'm in class right now", Fuck me man , I drop my phone on my bed and decide this needs to be taken to the shower because I don't want to make a mess of my bed sheets that's kind of embarrassing.
Once I've taken my boxers off I jump in the shower and let the water run warm the images of the other day came pouring into my head , this is when my hand lands back on my dick and I start to rub myself slowly savouring the moment a little , his little flustered movements trying to keep himself together, my head gets a little faster as I indulge the fantasy a little imagining if he had taken it further on the call this causes me to moan into the empty bathroom echoing through it and it's music to my ears. My brain travels to the images of George being flustered and trying to contain himself while at school trying to hide it from people around him "fuck" , as my hand gets faster I can feel my climax coming but due to the pills having messed everything up it hurts a little i hiss through my teeth as I try to push through it , and my climax comes not to long after. Once I'm done I start to actually wash myself down now. Turn the heat up and just relax in the shower peaceful again.
Once I'm done in the shower I wrap myself in the softest towel I own, No messages yet so I send off another picture to George " it would have been more fun if I had your input darling but Wow , that was very much needed ay", I go about just getting myself dressed for the day once I'm prepared I drop down on my bed again and pull my phone out "Sorry about that , anyway how are you?" , I know I can be alot and if he's not interested in me that could have been a bit much for him.
After sending that, I really want to ride some music so I trundle off to get my guitar and notebook and I get myself busy as I turn flip through my notebook and find lyrics that I'd been writing and there's a lot coming to me right now, bringing me back to that night
"Pause it , play it , pause it , play it , pause it"
"Oh my car smells like chocolate"
There was a lot going on that night, we did a lot of mad shit that night, someone was chasing up, we were height as fuck , and we were just messing us about, we'll I was she was trying to drive.
"Hey now, we're building up speed as we're approaching a hill"
Trying to get a melody to this will be hard but I swear it's going to be done. I get lost in the writing and I got so far George messages me back after a while. "you I'm alright love , my dad was doing my head in this morning so I'm a little iffy but I'm fine , how are you feeling?", Bless , family can be annoying sometimes , a reply doesn't come for a long time, but I'm not going to fuss him too much he's at school I can't expect too much but fuck unless I'm writing my mind will wonder and im getting reckless. We have a small back and forth about how we're doing
He replied a while later but it was just a blank screen saying that's he's proud of me for being okay but I'm more concerned about the blank screen

God his head was spinning! Casey grunted as he got back onto his feet, taking a moment to find his balance. Geese what a fight! It had completely taken him out - though for how long he didn’t know. What also didn’t make sense was the fact he was alone - shit, he hopes Raphs okay
Cupping his hands around his mouth, he began to call out,
“Raph!! Raphael!!! Yer seriously didn’t leave me did’yer?!”
He was being dumb, nothing new there. Figuring staying the floor was the worst idea, Casey headed to the roofs and started to search. It took a while, but he soon saw a familiar red mask, tails billowing in the breeze. Casey gave a faint sigh of relief,
“There yer are Raph,” he soon huffs, “Kinda rude as fuck t’ leave yer boyfriend’ behin’ like that yanno - but I guess I’ll forgive yer, yanno, for a kiss~”
He laughs a little, only stopping now that he gets a real good look at them from behind his mask,
“Uuuh, yer gotta new look or somethin’?” He asks, “Yer look taller,” not quite as tall as him though, “Darker green too, no eyes on show either,” clearly disappointed, but Casey still grins, “Still look good babe, real fuckin’ good.”
And there he is, giving ‘fuck me eyes’ from behind his hockey mask. Now if only he could stop being horny for 2 seconds to realise this wasn’t his Raphael

“Raph!! Raphael!!! Yer seriously didn’t leave me did’yer?!”
Raphael swore he hear his name being called out just now, as if being carried out by the wind. As he was going about a solo run right now, leaping from roof to roof. Eyeing out any action that might be going on that he could get in the middle of. But seemed the city didn't have much to offer a slight huff under his breath maybe he should hit Dragon territory? Casey likely was there himself now. But that was when he heard it it. Enough to get his attention off being bored he just couldn't place the voice? Sure maybe there was some other Raphael being called out to right now? it wasn't impossible but nah he always relied on his gut and right now his gut was telling the turtle to check this out.
So he set out to make his way toward the sound, crouching down on the edge of the the roof as he peered down to the street. It sounded like it was coming from the streets before, as eyes were focused on the ground narrowing into a sharp glare, that feeling in his gut just wasn't going away something was up. He hated that he could feel it but couldn't seem to see what was causing it. like it was leaving him on the edge. Moving suddenly at the faint sound of a breath behind him as he turned on his heels finding...a kid. Least he thinks?
They were dressed in all black, from the hoodie covered in what may just be different colors of paint, well the sleeves torn by the shoulders layer on top a long sleeve black shirt. To Black jeans, a white hockey mask, painted up like a skull covering their face outside thier large brown eyes and hood pulled up over their head.
“There yer are Raph,”
Okay so that answered some things he been wondering, they did know him but try as Raph might he couldn't place this kid at all? He felt like this get up should be easy to recall for sure. Only guy he knew that went around in a hockey mask was well Casey.

"..my what?" Was all Raph could say looking them over closely "Casey?" he questioned but there was no way this was Casey. Casey was huge, a giant of a person. Built like an ox and huge as a one too. This guy? Was as scrawny and one could get. The bit of skin he could make out was pale as all hell. They were laughing as if part of the joke going on her but it left Raph wondering what was wrong with this kid. Keeping distance between them but he did step a bit closer. Despite the spikes on the hockey gear they were weaning as padded he was pretty sure from how relaxed they were holding themself that they weren't going to pull something. Not that Raph felt this kid was any threat to him. Arms folding over his chest as they seemed to get a closer look now.
“Uuuh, yer gotta new look or somethin’?”
Brow rises up a little, Raph hasn't changed?
“Yer look taller,”
Raphael did hit a growth spurt sometime ago but yeah no he still didn't know who this kid was not to mention he was still stuck on them calling themself his boyfriend. Sure Casey was an idiot but he wasn't THIS much of an idiot.
“Darker green too, no eyes on show either,”
"my eyes?" not so focused on the remark about his skin tone being different apparently really this kid should take in all these differences they were point out about Raphael. It should be enough to clue them in that something was right. Raphael? yeah only so few people knew what his eyes looked like. Others would just assume his brothers and him didn't have eye colors but there was some clear disappointment in this kids voice when they said it. This was driving Raph nuts how the fuck did this kid know him sort of but also not know him? For a moment the turtle started to wonder if this was actually Casey, he was pretty aware they liked his eyes but? no Casey knows they keep them hidden away when the mask was on so?
“Still look good babe, real fuckin’ good.”
Raph now takes a step back again easily reading the expression in their eyes. Of course, Raphael knew a set of 'fuck me eyes' when he saw them cause well he gave Casey them a lot. Okay yeah this was..this was weird.
"Kid the fuck is wrong with ya, did ya land on your fuckin' head or somethin' ?" Raphael soon asks. Even more wondering who the fuck they were and what the hell was going on. Waving his hand so to express a go away motion at them as he made his way to the edge of the building ready to jump over to the next roof "Now scram kid I ain't got time to play around with some nut case." Maybe he should be a bit more cautious seeing as this kid seemed to know of him at least. Yeah that part is weird? He knows for sure he don't know this kid. He paused a second and looked back at them. Something was familiar but still so very off? he couldn't explain it. Looking over his shoulder a moment it was pretty clear this kid would just follow him anyway. They clearly had some or all their screws lose. Look how they were dressed and running around like that? What did they think they were some hero? yeah the get up did remind him of Casey but Casey was a full grown adult not some stupid kid.
He reach up and dragged his fingers over his face, even if the kid didn't follow him they looked like they get into trouble. Raph couldn't explain how he knew that he just KNEW. He grounds his teeth and growls a little to himself annoyed.
Turning back around and walking over a bit "Don't annoy me" he warns aiming a finger at them. "ya clearly lost so tell me where ya live can at 'east make sure ya get home safe yeah?"
