#bots are definitely a problem on the Taylor store#but I also see a bunch of Swifties on Twitter and tiktok mass buying items when they drop just to pick and choose what they’ll cancel#or buying multiples ‘for friends’ / ‘for giveaways’ / ‘for trades’ / ‘so the bots don’t get them’#like you’re severely limiting the number of Swifties that actually want that item from getting it by making yourself the middle man#also understand wanting cart timers but I keep seeing Swifties put stuff they admittedly don’t want in their cart ‘just to see if they can’#like that would cause new issues lol#it’s the merch team’s fault for leaning so heavily on scarcity marketing ik#makes me sad people are just buying buying buying instead of being able to think through a purchase#ESPECIALLY when the quality is so hit or miss#and I’ve seen threads where people have asked how everyone affords so much merch and like every other response is ‘credit card debt’#like please be joking 😩#it’s not that serious but it is a little concerning!
