An Austrian machine gun team and a T-34-85 perform a combat demonstration, Bruck an der Leitha, 1958.

There's an interesting mix of equipment seen here. For one thing, all of it is World War II, but from different countries. The machine gun seen in the forefront is a German MG 42, a rifleman to the left in the back carries an American M1 Garand, the tank is a Soviet T-34-85, and all soldiers are wearing American M1 helmets. This very diverse mix of equipment mostly comes from the massive amount of leftovers from World War II, and Austria, being a neutral country, received older equipment from both NATO and the Soviet bloc.

i also recommend if anyone is interested to try and write more realistic CoD fics, try doing some research on soldiers' lives and how the war affects ppl mentally and physically, it's a great help and there are enough resources

also, i can not stress this enough but if König is or was a soldier in the german bundeswehr who is super committed to that, then his vibes are off MASSIVELY. The bundeswehr is not an ordinary thing people join or do here. It tends to be right-wing / extremely conservative / corrupt... We had several affairs and scandals around the bundeswehr and if people would research that for writing König as a german soldier, they would find out very quickly and would need to reconcile that in their writing why someone would stay in such an institution.

to me it implies that the military forced him to take his meds and attend therapy like it's part of the discipline—else he lose the job he's so passionate about—be a leader and do whatever had to be done—except sniping because apparently that's the limit they have on him lolz our giant leg-bouncy boi is just too hard to conceal on the field
