ok but like where is the au where jack is like. actually from the southwestern part of the country

dont get me wrong i love our lil city boy but we are missing OUT on the POSSIBILITIES !!! so, here you have it, modern au Jack "Cowboy" Kelly, brought to you from your local country lesbian:

ok first off: in this au he's born in the southwest, of course, but he moves to New York when he's either a teenager or like ,, going to college bc he needs a 💫change of scenery💫 (and also he's drawn to the political climate of northern states for Obvious Reasons)

he grows up knowing how to make tortillas and tamales and a few other recipes passed down from his abuela

when someone says to dress nice, he hears "wear starched jeans, clean boots, and a button down" complete with a big belt buckle

JACK KNOWS HOW TO SQUARE DANCE. and he knows a bunch of line dances. and he isn't, like, amazing, but he's pretty decent. (his favorite line dances are Footloose and Copperhead Road (WHICH ARE SO FUN AND EASY TO DO I LOVE DOING THEM AT RODEOS AND DANCES BTW))

if he really likes someone he'll serenade them with a cute country song (think like ,, something along the lines of Head Over Boots by Jon Pardi or Wanted by Hunter Hayes)

omg ,, jack is such a traditional Good Southern Boy (TM). he holds doors open for everyone and lets ladies and kids cut in line in front of him and he says yes ma'am and no sir and it's not because he has any conservative values, it's just bc he was raised to be kind and humble and lead with his heart on his sleeve. he has that southern charm that everyone just kinda falls for
