He doesn't know exactly why he's worried. Bryan could take care of himself. Hell, if there was anyone he shouldn't feel worried about it was that psychotic maniac.
But he is worried, loathe as he is to admit it. And because of that very specific emotion Kai finds himself pacing back and forth; eyes occationally darting to the window before finding their way back to his clenched fists.
Seventeen hours since he'd last seen the other.
Seventeen hours since Bryan had screamed himself hoarse and bolted out of the house; slamming the door behind him.
Seventeen hours.
Kai was worried.
He didn't much feel like examining the twisted feeling in his gut, but he knew what it was and it was driving him insane.
If only Bryan hadn't been so.... well, Bryan.
He was still recovering for God sake. Still injured after..... Kai shouldn't have let him walk out. He should have stopped him.
Tied him down if he had to.
Frowning, he finally stops; an agitated hand coming up to run through his hair. "Fuck," he mutters under his breath. Fishing his phone out of his pocket to dial the other teen for the umpteenth time.
It rings and rings and---
Angrily pushing the red button, Kai shoves the device back in his pocket and starts pacing again.
Theoretically he could try to look for him. Check all his frequent hiding spots. But Tala and Ian were already doing that and if he left, who would be here if the idiot found his way back home?
Hissing a frustrated curse under his breath, Kai wishes, not for the first time that Spencer hadn't left for Italy last week.
Maybe none of this would have happened of the calm Russian had been here. He'd always managed to somehow have just the right words to calm Bryan down from his bouts of angry fits. And now---
Stomping over to the window, he throws himself on the nearest chair and waits.
He hopes the others find Bryan soon.
He hopes the idiot doesn't get himself killed until then.
He..... he's worried and he hates being worried.
Bryan better fucking come home soon so he could scream at him again.
