how did flowerstar get into starclan if she killed

It's a similar thing to Hollyleaf--she felt guilt over the death AND (more importantly, in StarClan's eyes) more than made up for it.

For those unfamiliar with why I made Flowerstar a killer, she was encouraged in her dreams by Myrtle and Alder--who wanted revenge for Alder's death-- to become leader. She did this by killing the previous leader and deputy so that she could get the position.

But suddenly she was given so much responsibility and it was very hard. In her dreams, the two goaded her own, saying how she was just another warrior, was nothing, and their words were probably fueled by experiences in life (perhaps a mate cheating on her, parents praising her littermates more often than they do her).

She wanted to be seen, and they convinced her that she had to become leader for it. After all, she could die as deputy, and then what? It wasn't like those retired or died off all the time and no one remembers them. They only remember the leaders.

In her nine lives ceremony, she was told the whole truth about Myrtlewing and Alderstar lying to her (they didn't know until she likely said their names at some point), and told her that what she did was horrid.

It's also like canon Blackstar as well because they tell her that her life as leader would be her second chance.

So she leads well, always putting her Clan above herself. She lost her last life via infected wound after defending the elders from an owl. While sick, she decided to announce to the Clan what she had done, and who to look out for in case Myrtlewing and Alderstar try to visit their dreams as well. With that, she exiled herself and died the next day.

Thus began the Curse of The Roots belief.
