Made this as part of Stana's birthday video edit, so I thought why not make it into a GIF (and added another favourite photo from the photo shoot)

10 years ago today a low resolution version of this photo appeared on a Miley Cyrus fansite and spread like wildfire. Despite a pic showing her from behind in the same attire (except the jacket) being published in Maxim a few days prior, people weren't sure whether it was real or photoshopped. After all, this was former Disney girl Miley Cyrus - she wouldn't go that far, would she? Little did anyone know what was still to come: In the following ~2 years, Miley would frequently be seen topless or barely covering herself at the beach or at events, and posing for far more explicit pictures than this.

And of course people had condescending, derogatory explanations for Miley being so willing to show the goods: She's a slut. She's an attention whore. It's the only way she can stay relevant. Her record doesn't sell otherwise. She's been corrupted by the industry. She's on drugs. And so on...

A young woman being comfortable in her own body, not giving a damn about other people's opinion and not subscribing to the view that nudity is somehow controversial? Unthinkable - if you're a narrow-minded idiot.

She's living her life the way she wants. Good for her!

...and good for us, because we've had the privilege of looking at her wonderful, perky titties for 10 years now and I, for one, haven't grown tired of seeing them ;)
