Tonight I'm having the Wild Turkey Rare Breed. I bought this without knowing anything about it. But at the $80 I paid and being barrel proof at 58.4% how could I go wrong. . I was pleasantly surprised. . I couldn't wait to get it home and open it after picking it from the store. That wait was welcomed with a nose that was rich and sweet but very bourbony. I always get vanilla and oak from bourbon. . Then that first sip warms your mouth with the slightest touch of spice that lingers for a little while becoming spicier as time passes. . Nothing is overpowering or dominant and everything works in harmony to make one of the nicest bourbons I've had the pleasure of trying. . Now I thought it's a Wild Turkey, how good could it be. Don't let that same thought stop you from trying it. You will be surprised. Let me be the first to warn you. Once you try it, you'll be hooked! 🦃🦃 . #HighWest Double Rye - a blend of two rye whiskies that is full of spice and nutty notes. Has a strong kick to it, even for a 46% abv.
