Customer's Review
Peter Goldberg Bouclair | The sofa and the bed stayed, since they’re quality purchases we made recently, but things like our tiny kitchen table sized for our small space and our not-so-comfy-anymore dining chairs were donated to the charitable organization in our old neighbourhood. It was hard to part with pieces that had seen so many of our dearest memories, but we knew we needed fresh start.

Hi! I discovered your blog a while back, and I'm obsessed. Your photography is simply gorgeous, and you come across as really funny, kind, and warm - an all around lovely person. ( ^ワ^ ) May I ask where you got your mirrors? Like the one up against the wall in your living room or the one you placed your candle next to? They're super pretty.
Thank you very much for the compliments! I appreciate it 💕 the mirrors are all thrifted (Kijiji) or purchase from a Canadian store called Home Sense. However Structube carries a really similar one to my black iron mirror! So does Bouclair.

Sustainable Design Trends That Will Rule 2021
The climate crisis is mounting over all folks and therefore the world of interior design is that specialize in sustainability this year. it's the smallest amount we will do to guard the world . we've seen tons of individuals change their preferences towards sustainable products in their homes. there's tons of emphasis on reuse, reduce and recycle which has born to the thought of minimalism and DIY upgrades. there's a growing demand for vintage pieces and reclaimed materials. Eco-friendly isn't only a topic you want to consider but it's also an idea of sustainability that goes much beyond and includes rustic and labor. Here are a number of the highest sustainable design trends which will bring a brighter tomorrow for all folks .
1. Commitment towards recycling
There will be an increase within the use of recycled materials for buildings, interiors, and products. it's the simplest way for designers to become transparent about their commitment towards sourcing ethically. With the amount of stories about global waste polluting the air, water, and land, people are on the lookout for other ways to scale back their contribution to the extraction of materials. There are several brands that make recycled textiles and materials which will save fabrics from landfill fates and provides them new life.
2. DIY upgrades
2021 will see the revival of upgrading the used furniture through new skills. this may help make the furniture sustainable. The experts at Bouclair believe there'll be an increase in DIY woodwork, upholstery, and more. With the increase in renovation projects, the availability chain is slow and this has led to an increase in DIY upgrades. it's a cheap and faster thanks to evaluate the things you already own or can purchase used. it's an exquisite thanks to upgrade home decor through DIY. you'll develop creativity and convey a change to your home. These skills can do tons of excellent to the earth .
3. Equitable Architecture
Over subsequent two years, there'll be equitable, human-centered architecture which will take the middle stage and this suggests the longer term of construction are going to be equal with reference to gender, race, and disability. there'll be a transition and that we will see restrictions on members from creating spaces of torture, execution, or chambers that are used against Brown and Black people. it's an easy instance and there might be more . Any design that helps dismantle injustices are going to be seen within the coming years. Industries are now realising how they contribute to the suffering of the marginalised and this may be seen within the architectural design within the coming year.
4. Healthy Materials
There is growing awareness about the toxicity of the building products that are used and other people are working towards raising awareness about it and developing healthier options. People are getting conscious about the impact on the environment on our health and this is often why homeowners are trying to find healthy materials for structures and interiors. we've seen vinyl flooring being replaced by Marmoleum and linoleum. Further, carpet companies have began to reduce the utilization of water and stain-repellent chemicals. 2021 will see a return to materials that originate from nature and there'll be nutrition labels on the materials to make a decision if they need any harmful chemicals.
5. Minimalism
We are hearing tons about minimalism for the past year. A minimalist lifestyle may be a mindset and there'll be tons of communities adopting an equivalent within the coming years. it's a thought where the society accepts a particular pattern of consumption that's rooted during a set of core values that bring an easier lifestyle. we will do tons more with less and this belief is here to remain .
6. Timeless looks
There has been tons of emphasis on our style and developing one for the house . Whether it's the renovation or buying furniture that you simply love, people are thinking more long-term and are watching designs and products that last for a couple of years down the road . it's also about being more conscious of the ecological and economic implications of purchase. we'll see people buying a couple of but high-quality pieces.
The coming year will mean that fast furniture pieces are going to be out and that we will see people making conscious decisions about the way they decorate the house . Whether it's buying a replacement home or working around an area you own, the choices are going to be based keeping sustainability in mind. there'll be a change within the way people check out their homes and therefore the impact of their purchases. it'll cause well-thought-out, long-term decisions which will benefit the environment.
