Of Cats and Homes ||
The music of The Looking Glass Festival had always caught Cheshire’s attention, and for some reason he always needed to watch the festivities. Of course he’d lurk from the shadows; after all, no inhabitant, Wonderland resident or otherworldly stranger wanted the cat around.
Every noise was louder by tenfold, and it was terrible. Why the hell did he sneak out to find himself there?
His tail bristled because he was a literal cat right now. As punishment, he had to randomly succumb to this pitiful, lowly form. It worked wonders to escape Spade Castle. And it helped somewhat to ease the pain (he wasn’t sure why, but Cheshire wasn’t going to complain about no longer feeling the horrendous scratches etched along his back).
But when some being actually saw him, he knew that he actually and literally hated his whole life. His cat form was mostly unknown to the public. “Ah! What the hell are you doing?” he gasped. He hacked, making a noise that sounded uncannily like he was coughing up a hairball. The pink cat looked up at the man. “Don’t you know better than to sneak up on a poor defenseless cat. Get your ass back to that festival!”

He didn’t like it, not at all, but he knew there was no way he’d be able to shake the bastard Vongola storm off his back. No, Squalo knew that the Vongola brats all had the stupid desire to never leave a man behind even if they were your enemy. The Sawada brat had obviously influenced all his guardians to be so selfless and have a bleeding heart like he did, a terrible trait for the mafia if he was honest.
It wasn’t like he was dying anyways. He’d just exhausted himself and twisted his ankle bad and couldn’t step on it when the younger mafioso had stumbled upon him. He just needed time to rest and he’d be able to get himself home on his own. But it wasn’t like he was taking a punch to his pride by letting the teen have his way for now.

Bad Memories || Gokudera & Nico

“Shadow traveling when you don’t know where anything is...is not the best idea.”
Nico grumbled to himself as the shadows faded from his vision and his destination was finally unveiled to him. The neon lights first blinded him, in which Nico almost reflexively threw his “sword” at it, and then the noise deafened him. He hated being around large groups of people, they were unpredictable and made too much noise. His eyes darted around trying to find some quiet place to recollect himself and Shadow Travel back to his apartment. After a couple seconds of panicked looking, Nico found a doorway that didn’t have that many people in it, so he took his chance and ran, not caring about running into people.
Darting into the doorway and into the closest door, Nico slid down the door and took a deep breath to calm his mind from running at 60 miles per hour.
“Okay...now where in the hell am I- oh...shit, sorry for interrupting.”

Rigged Games| Killua and Hayato

Killua stood in line at the ball toss. He decided to come to the festival to check it out plus the advertisements showed there were going to be a bunch of sweets. As he ate his third chocolate bar he is happy to see that it was not a lie. He caught sight of the game and figured he would give it a shot. It would be an easy way to win a prize. At least that is what he thought until he saw the kid ready to go hit between two cans perfect for knocking them both over but only one fell over.
“Pst of course the vendor tied the cans down somehow.”

The Training Grounds |Prompto & Gokudera

Prompto was leaning against a wall in the SSA main office.He was finishing up the volunteer form with a rather extensive section about abilities.
He almost felt relief when he saw a section asking about firearms. Judging from the detail their must have been some heavy hitters here alright. He finished the paperwork and gave a quick signature. There that was done.He got up from leaning on the wall and walked over to the main desk waiting for someone to be free. After a moment one man was free. He gave the reception person back the clipboard with a smile.
“Okay Prompto I will go ahead and put this in our system.” After a few minutes Prompto was given a volunteer card and everything.
“Sweet thanks man.” He said and turned toward the main building. Time to explore he decided. He was particularly interested in the training room to see what it looked like.
He made his way through the first floor, waving occasionally to people as he walked by. He even took a few shots on his camera the rooms and view, not really able to help himself. He was a sucker for keeping memories. Finally he made it to the training room and looked around in awe.
