A little discussion on Ichigo's powers
how is no one realising , that yhwach didn't hold back his quincy abilities- he held back his SHINIGAMI abilities.
What Yhwach did was take the quincy powers and IMMITATE shinigami powers. Which is the reason why Ichigos bankai was so baffling.
Because what it is, at its base is a Quincy Vollständig. with the key difference being that instead of absorbing the environment's reishi it pulled from Ichigo's inner reserves and then concentrated and amplified.
So yes- Byakuya was right.
It was a fake bankai, because it only imitated a quincy's take on it.
Which explains why, well there was nothing really for Ichigo to learn, to master about his bankai unlike other shinigami. Because the only thing too master was just the concentrated amount of spiritual pressure.
I know non manga readers won't know this as this was cut I believe from the anime because of screen time. But the reason Ichigo survived his fight with Kenpachi- aside Kenpachi basically limiting himself, is because of ブルート・ヴェーネ aka blut vene.
Ichigo was stabbed in the chest, bleeding out. When he reached out, when 'Old man Zangetsu' communicated with him, telling him they needed to work together- 'old man Zangetsu' made the decision to activate blut vene to stop the bleeding.
Because as he stated the only thing he cared about was saving and protecting Ichigo.
He only let Zangetsu , Shiro, teach Ichigo the bare minimum. Hell the fact Ichigo goes through the series into the TYBW Arc with only a Getsuga Tenshou and his amplifying hollow powers.
And for once it's not the bloody shounen disease nope.
It's a bloody stylistic plot related choice made by Kubo.
Because up until that point, we've never really seen Ichigo use his shinigami abilities.

I have so many thoughts for a Bleach AU where Ichigo goes back in time to fix things, pretends to have amnesia so he doesn't have to keep track of a bunch of lies, succeeds in his mission, and then actually gets amnesia.
Like, he goes back in time, kills Aizen or whatever, and saves Soul Society. People realize that he's been lying about the amnesia, but by this point he's a hero and they've come to care for him and feel protective so they don't really press. And then Ichigo gets bonked on the head, or some academy kid messes up a kido spell and accidentally hits him, and even before Ichigo wakes up Unohana is like, yeah, that's going to be amnesia for real this time.
Imagine Ichigo in the past, not knowing he needs to hide things. Imagine him nonchalantly drawing bankai when he had been pretending he didn't even have shikai. Imagine him in a spar, casually throwing a cero. Imagine him pulling out Blut Vene in a fight with a hollow.
The reveal scenarios, coupled with the fact that Ichigo doesn't even understand why any of this is a big deal, and then also everyone around him just having to pretend that yeah this is fine so they don't freak out their resident injured hero amnesiac -- I am going insane --

The What-If Forms
I've made a post or two about silly facts I recently learned off the wiki or youtube which are sourced from Tite Kubo's site "Klub Outside" and I made one going over just how crazy his biology is.
But I don't think we discuss the alternative scenarios enough. Ichigo is quite literally a little part of everything and he can potentially be anything in between.
And Bleach Brave Souls played around with that. For example;
Tumblr media
Mastered Hollowfication
There's the mastered hollowfication version of Ichigo. This one is even closer to real than the rest thanks to Kubo revealing that, had Ichigo not became afraid of his powers, that his mask would've mirrored the one Hollow Ichigo wore during his Dangai training.
In essence, Ichigo could've freely wielded the form he used to kill Ulquiorra had he not gave into despair. This form here is that same concept but with an Arrancar twist of the mask broken.
Then there's this one:
Tumblr media
100% Fullbring
This form is just what would happen had Ichigo's fullbring never been stolen or had it been recovered. It's his Soul Reaper form clad in the totality of his fullbring.
A perfect blend of Hollow & Reaper manifested via Fullbring.
It's certainly visually interesting to me but it's still not the form I find most interesting. The form I find the most intriguing is actually Quincy Ichigo.
Tumblr media
Quincy born in Black
Just look at this concept, the implications, the possibilities. The Wandenreich showed us that quincies can be a legitimate threat to the Soul Reapers. Granted, we still don't know if the army is in physical bodies or spiritual ones.
The very fact that some of members are 1000+ years old makes it hard for me to believe they are in a living human body but ya never know.
In Ichigo's case it makes the mind race with what mixture of powers he'd have. As a "true soul reaper" in the final arc Ichigo's quincy powers only summon Blut Vene or act as a counter balance to his Hollow powers.
You could see an inverse of that here.
Tumblr media
Imagine with Me
How would Ichigo don this form? No clue, I don't think a scenario to explain this form was ever given. Perhaps he emerges from the Shattered Shaft like this, that'd be a fun Bleach AU to watch.
This form would be quite busted as well. If he was a quincy foremost he'd have power over reishi, the ability to absorb and mold it into weaponry.
His Blut Vene wouldn't be reactive/automatic and he may even have a spiritual form. Scarier still, Hollow Ichigo is in there. He may not manifest as a bootleg zanpakuto but he's still an internal source of power.
Meaning Ichigo, as a quincy, would not only draw power from around him but from within himself. Perhaps, like Yhwach, Ichigo even forms blades and swords out of reishi to battle forgoing a zanpakuto entirely.
Hell, you could even give his quincy form unique quirks. Such as the aforementioned spiritual body or maybe Ichigo's arrows have purifying properties to them.
Imagine how confused, perhaps annoyed, the soul reapers would be to see a quincy that can freely purify hollows like they do. Their whole justification for the Quincy genocide 200yrs prior to the show (about 800yrs after Yhwach's failed first war) was because quincies utterly destroy hollows thus creating an imbalance.
A quincy with arrows that purify the same way a zanpakuto does would be a quandary for them.
Tumblr media
Quincies & Fullbring & Reaper
Then you have this image. I assumed it was a mixture of quincy and fullbring but upon research it seems to be a quincy infused with a soul reaper powers.
Which...Ichigo kinda is that already but it seems inversed. He's not a soul reaper with quincy qualities here but a quincy with reaper qualities instead. (the dominance is reversed)
But the idea of what he'd look like with fullbring as a quincy also intrigues me. It's not as compelling to me as Quincy Ichigo since this image here is just a mix of what he's already doing but it's visually interesting.
Tumblr media
Reaper Uryu exists btw
I've rambled all I could. There's just too little on them but the ideas are interesting and I can see how it interests people even now. No, I had no real point.
I just find Quincy Ichigo intriguing as an idea since that official work of him exists. I'd even love a Bleach AU story where he emerges from the Shattered Shaft as a Quincy instead.
But that won't happen so I'm rambled out. But hey, before I go, enjoy this image I discovered while researching. ^^^
See that? That's Reaper infused Uryu. Have a field day, bye.

i got tagged by @bleachbleachbleach! hello 👁️👁️
5 things you can talk about for hours without preparing any material:
well. obviously an awful lot of aspects of bleach qualify, lmao.
1:
i love digging into the underpinnings of systems like kidou (why do they call out the numbers? are the numbers part of the incantations? are they part of the actual spells themselves? who numbered them? who created them?), zanpakutou (what does it mean that so few shinigami have zanpakutou spirits whose gender is opposite their own? does it signify something in particular? does society in-universe believe it signifies something in particular?), the ins & outs of how Soul Society, the material world and Hueco Mundo connect to each other (is SS superimposed directly over the earth of the human world, like the Wandenreich was hidden "in" SS, or is it in a physically different place? what does it mean that HM is "between" the human world and soul society? why is HM's moon "in the opposite lunar phase" to the human world's??? WHY IS THE MOON BACKWARDS KUBO 😫)
2:
a particular subset of that is trying to figure out how soul biology works. reiryoku is energy that can be utilized by the soul; we know what produces and regulates the energy, the hakusui (soul sleep) and saketsu (chain binding), which exist at physical points in the body, if not as discrete organs. how does reiryoku circulate? is it analogous to Quincies' blut vene/arterie? are there spiritual blood vessels? nerves? meridians? what's with the "reiatsu vents" that were mentioned in relation to 1 (one) singular kidou spell and then never again??? (i'm imagining them like the pinhole punched thru thermos lids - they have a small but very important job, b/c if they're not there, Shit Don't Work Right)
3:
also obviously, my Blorbo Of All Time, Kisuke 💚🤍💚🤍💚 (the rest of this is under a cut b/c i am SUPER DUPER NOT KIDDING about being able to talk for hours lmao)
there are precious few lines in canon that address Kisuke's backstory pre-TBTP arc, and fleshing out how he and Tessai came to be at Shihouin manor is certainly not an unpopular theme in headcanon and fanworks, but i fear i may have taken it to a very OTT level...
like, ok, listen. listen. if he was from rukongai (a common HC), most people there aren't really from rukongai, they're from the human world, right? so where was he from that he was platinum blond in Ghost Japan? obviously the easy answer is that people from all over the world end up in rukongai indiscriminately - but that wasn't as fun as deciding he was the son of Portuguese traders in Nagasaki during the tail end of the Sengoku era, and during the lead-up to the Edo era's isolationist policies, he was killed and subsequently wound up in rukongai. is that extremely convoluted YES, did that deter me in any way NO. i could not, though, find much information on what the Nagasaki dialect may have sounded like in the late 1500s, which i looked into even tho the fic i'm writing will be in English, not Japanese, and CERTAINLY not late medieval Japanese.
(i also looked up what the imperial era names would've been then even tho they're not going to feature in the fic in any way, shape or form. tenshou, bunroku and keichou, btw. this is taking up valuable space in my brain right next to the permanently-memorized-since-2002 lyrics to Hamasaki Ayumi's Dearest)
4:
FINALLY getting out of the worldbuilding and backstory morass into actual canon events(!!) - i could also talk for hours about Kisuke's motivation and reasoning behind early canon's Hougyoku Plot™ (keeping in mind that it's likely just an artifact of kubo's plot swerve at the end of the SS arc, where he'd probably started out intending Kisuke to be a villain in league with Aizen, and the late retcon meant Kisuke's actions no longer made any damn sense.)
anyway, my favorite element of canon here to play with is that most of what we know about it comes from Aizen's dialogue at the end of the SS arc. so what if Aizen wasn't being strictly truthful? even if he wasn't outright lying, he certainly could've spun things to sound much different, much worse, than they really were - and, of course, in ways that would make Kisuke sound terrible if he tried to explain himself and his actions. maybe stashing the hougyoku in Rukia's soul was never meant to be permanent (he invented the only non-fatal method of removing it himself, after all); it was just a way to keep it close to Ichigo, to awaken & evolve his powers, but still concealed. maybe Rukia's gigai was never meant to turn her fully human (he would recognize the name Kuchiki and know she'd be missed were she to disappear); it simply used a similar composition to Isshin's gigai, so that a shinigami soul with a "dose" of human would balance out Ichigo's hollow.
that leaves room for Kisuke to have still been using Rukia and Ichigo like pawns on a chessboard, so it's not like he's totally innocent and absolved of guilt - but it makes him guilty in a way that both 1. patches the plothole and 2. makes Aizen even more petty, spiteful and dickish, which is delightful to me. it also leaves room for Rukia's powers not coming back after she transferred them to Ichigo to be because of the hougyoku's influence instead of gigai tampering - subconsciously, she wanted to stay in the world of the living, and she knew she could only do that while Ichigo was still taking on her shinigami duties. the consequence of a magical wishing stone that grants desires is that it doesn't only grant the desires you consciously voice (which is ALSO delightful to me).
5:
i love finding ways to explain Kisuke's Weirdness. like, sure, maybe he's just a weird person - but with the power of projection on my side, he, too, can be ADHD and maybe autistic! has trouble making eye contact, so he wears his hair in a way that lets him hide his eyes, and starts wearing a hat and using the fan to hide his face even further! Only One Outfit Syndrome isn't just an artifact of the episodic visual medium, it's because he's so particular about the types and cuts of fabric he wears! his favorite food is plain white rice and his dislikes are "too many to list," for heaven's sake! he just like me fr!!!
as a rukongai street rat transplanted into one of the most prominent noble households in all Soul Society, i can only imagine he and Tessai adopted their default polite modes of speech under relative duress - if they were ever found to be out of line, the "proper" nobles (obviously barring Yoruichi, who wouldn't give a fuck) wouldn't hesitate to put them in their place. in Tessai this evolved into pure formality; in Kisuke it evolved into a mild, polite register that he pointedly refused to make any more or less formal - a.k.a. "just polite enough to piss everyone off" lmao.
also on the subject of speech, i found out where Kisuke's "atashi" comes from!! it's shitamachi ("lower city") dialect, the old working-class dialect of Edo/Tokyo. in TBTP he still says "boku," so he picked it up only after he and the Visored came to the human world (Karakura is supposed to be somewhere nearish to Tokyo) and set up the shouten. as far as i can tell, "atashi" is the only aspect of that dialect that Kisuke uses - other more common aspects, like turning the ending vowel sounds of adjectives into -ee or -ii sounds ("urusai" -> "urusee", "warui" -> "warii", etc.), are actually used in Ichigo's speech to make him sound like a delinquent tough-guy shonen protag, lol. how and when "atashi" went from working-class street hawkers' slang to a feminine pronoun used almost exclusively by young girls, i have no fucking idea lmao... (also i have no idea if canon bears this out in their dialect, but the Ishidas are totally yamanote in contrast, right?? high-class, well-to-do, prim and proper, Old Money™, etc etc - they gotta be!)
one more thing and then i'll actually end this post jdfksjdf but! years ago i saw a post from @saranel about why, at the beginning of the arrancar arc, Kisuke talked about the Visored to Isshin as if he didn't know them that well. obviously the most likely explanation is "kubo hadn't finalized their backstory at that point yet" lol, but filling in doylist plotholes with watsonian pavement is part of what makes fandom fun! and her theory (i can't find the post 😭 sorry) was that Kisuke'd had a falling out with the Visored at some point during their exile - probably, given the Visored's initial animosity toward shinigami, regarding Kisuke using the shop to help the shinigami in Karakura. this is SUPER juicy to me, because i can imagine how shinji, hiyori etc. would've taken it as a betrayal, a backstabbing, from one of the few people in their world they thought they could trust - and how kisuke never, ever intended it that way, probably didn't anticipate it could be taken that way at all, he was just trying to help out - everyone involved is walking away from that confrontation emotionally scraped raw and bleeding, and i am LIVING for it 🥰
i don't have a good conclusion here so uhh. if u read this far pls have a gold star for putting up with my rambling ⭐

Rewatch cour 2 and I still like this additional
First I thought it was kind of "Blut". Which make me wonder why he need it to "protect" his eyes ? Its also different from normal blut where the mark is glow dark blue instead of faint-blue one like this... when fight Shutara, Uryu's Blut Vene mark is same with the others
Then there is a scene where Yhwach easily escape from "Cage of Life" after throw his medallion and switch place between him and the medallion, I just realize it was Uryu who help him escape by using Antithesis not Yhwach's Almighty (If its was Almighty, Haschwalt shouldn't surprise since he know a lot about Almighty)
Before that scene, we see this additional scene when Uryu look at the sun of Soul Palace. This make me wonder if this some additional detail of how Uryu eyes looks like when he active Antithesis. Which is very good additional and kinda parallel with this Almighty due to focused on the users eyes (Except instead of extra pupils, uryu has blut-like marking)

Physical Constraints in Bleach
I've said for a while that Bleach has exactly two known and quantified physical feats in 1. Gin's Bankai speed being given as Mach 500 (chapter 400), and 2. Rukia's Shikai and Bankai achieving absolute zero (chapter 567), but it turns out there is a third in chapter 582:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
For the record, per Wikipedia:
6 gigajoule is about the chemical energy of combusting 1 barrel (159 L) of petroleum. 2 GJ is about the Planck energy unit. One megawatt-hour of electricity is 3.6 gigajoules.
and
The terajoule is about 0.278 GWh (which is often used in energy tables). About 63 TJ of energy was released by Little Boy.
So, if you do some simple math, 63 TJ is 63,000 GJ, meaning Candice is using 1/12,600th the power of Little Boy on a decently serious attack. Little Boy is best estimated to 15 KT of explosive yield, meaning Candice is using a little over 1 ton of TNT, and indeed a TNT equivalent is calibrated at 4.184 GJ.
Even if we're extremely generous and assume her later Electrocution fired at Ichigo in chapter 583 is 10,000 times stronger than the Galvano Javelin cited above (100 to 1,000 is probably more accurate), she's only getting to 10 KT of yield, which is a small tactical nuke. Even very strong Bleach characters are generally using attacks with absolute powers measured at the low-end of the tactical nuclear scale.
(I have had someone on Reddit argue with me that the Bambies are "mid-Espada level" based on their combat performance in CFYOW as compared with Grimmjow and Luppi, apparently wholly ignorant of the fact that Grimmjow and Luppi are much stronger by then than in HM Arc, as Kisuke explicitly states souls power up after near-death experiences [chapter 60] and Grimmjow has had at least 2 or 3 near-death experiences and Luppi actually died. They are likely much stronger than Starrk in HM Arc was by then, given Robert Accutrone in TYBW quite casually does much better against Shunsui than Starrk did. The Bambies are not weak. Also worth noting here that Bambietta is by Kubo's own admission stronger than Candice without Blut, unclear if Vene or Arterie. In short their attacks should be taken as quite high-end here, not low-end, especially as they just finished beating down a [substantially] weakened Kenpachi with all of 3 hits in chapter 580.)
As I've said before from just visual estimation, we can maybe say that Mugetsu Ichigo and Ultrafragor Aizen were in the 1 MT to 10 MT yield range and managed to get to the level of strategic nuclear weapons, but it's worth noting the largest bomb ever tested was Tsar Bomba at around 50 MT (209 PJ), or 5,000 times stronger than our extremely generous estimate of Candice's Electrocution, and it was a 100 MT design that had been partially disabled. (Nuclear weapons can be made arbitrarily large through staging.)
Anyone wanting to put Ichigo head-to-head with Goku, Saitama, or even Naruto, is on the basis of canon figures, an idiot. The series simply does not scale that high. Even Naruto does things that are on the order of gigaton or teraton nuclear weapons if not more.
Likewise, that neither Ichigo nor Aizen could dodge Gin's Bankai, and Gin's peers and contemporaries remained relevant into TYBW, means that Bleach's speed scaling likely never breaks Mach 1,000. For the record, the powerscalers want you to believe that Cero and Negación are lasers because a translated databook called them "light" and Bala are stated to be 20 times faster than Cero, and therefore even Lieutenants are moving at 20 times light speed... which would be Mach 17,480,600. Yet nobody can dodge Gin's Mach 500 attack. Sure, that makes perfect sense.
In other words, when powerscalers try to tell you that Bleach has continental or planetary or stellar or galactic or universal or dimensional feats, and is superluminal, they're full of shit. Bleach is an extremely small and constrained setting when it comes to both power and speed.
The Cold War nuclear forces of the USA or USSR could absolutely sweep Soul Society through sheer saturation, no diff. (And that includes Yamamoto, because his 15 million degrees Celsius Zanka no Tachi, Nishi: Zanjitsu Gokui is pretty weak compared to the 100 million degrees Celsius or higher fireballs of strategic nukes. This explains why Bazz-B could literally fight fire with fire against him. Maybe Mayuri could survive through trickery if he knows enough about ablation. And yes, those nuclear forces would eventually saturate speedy Shinigami with tens of thousands of nuclear warheads, they couldn't cut them all down, especially as they wouldn't perceive many of them coming from both the speed of reentry vehicles and the lack of reiatsu or reishi. And yes this does also mean that human nuclear weapons development should've concerned Shinigami greatly, even beyond the possibility of megadeath and gigadeath overwhelming the reincarnation cycle. And yes you can probably make the equivalent of a Naquadah-enhanced nuke from Stargate SG-1 using reishi or reiatsu to improve fission and fusion yields or just straight-up make the equivalent of an antimatter-catalyzed fusion bomb. Humans post-Trinity should be treated as being spooky if their governments learn about souls. Yes, this should have been considered the main reason to stop Yhwach and Tokinada's plans, as if the realms were merged, even the US of 2003/2004 would indisputably have military power over the Gotei 13.)

BURNER FINGER 3
GALVANO BLAST
GALVANO JAVELIN
ELECTROCUTION pronounced in English and written [電滅刑]: "Electric Death/Destruction Punishment" which is a weird choice because the word for "(death by)electrocution" is [感電死] which feels like it would've been the more obvious choice
BURNER FINGER 4
Tumblr media
LOVE KISS
LOVE ROPE
LOVE STICK again with distinctly English phonetics but the kanji [愛の杖] "(walking)Stick/Cane/Wand/Staff of Love" but also given the name Be-Sha-Nu-Ru[ベシャヌル] which appears to be gibberish... (Is it a typo on Kubo's part and he meant Béchamel, like the whitesauce? with obvious... implications...? Impossible to say)
Shin'eitai[親衛隊] meaning "Bodyguards" but it looks like it was also the Japanese term used for the German SS, hence the later change of the phonetics from Japanese to...
SCHUTZSTAFFEL[親衛隊] while retaining the exact same kanji
Tumblr media
Koe[声]: "Voice." Nothing special really. they did put it in quotes. but you'd think if he was using a loophole in his power to give himself abilities the way he'd give power to his followers he'd have used English or German.
Sankt Bogen[大聖弓]: "Big Saint Bow" and "Saint Bow" in German
Blut Vene Anhaben[外殻静血装]: "Shell Stillness Blood Clothing" and the German is something like, "Blood Vein Wearing"(?) looking up vocab is one thing but my German grammar is noexistant, but you get the idea.
Sankt Altar[簒奪聖壇]: "Usurpation (holy)Altar" and German "Saint Altar."
Me[眼]: "Eyeball/Sight/Vision" Same issue with Koe/Voice. Although he used different quotation marks here.
Tumblr media
MORPHINE PATTERN this feel like something is missing, either context, or some alternate reading, or phonetic mix up. Because it feels like this is gibberish
Welt[世界]: "World" in both Japanese and German
Wahrwelt[真世界城]: "True World Castle," and the German "Real World"
Taiyou-no-mon[太陽の門]: "Gate of the Sun"
Zwei Ast[2番枝街]: "Two Branch Street" and "Two Branch" (there is something weird with the kana here that I need to double check, if I can remember to come back to it...)
Quincy Stuff: [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

AIZEN WAS STILL SLUGGISH FROM THE TOLLING EFFECTS OF AT LAST WIELDING HIS BANKAI, it seemed. It didn't help that their enemy was capable of likely unmaking Gin in the same blip of minimal thought that had gone into sealing his slit throat prior ---- Yhwach was something of a horror beyond anything Gin could properly comprehend. Intimidating, yet approachable in the sense that... he was some dreadful, unavoidable thing. A black hole sucking them inward, threatening to turn all to the swallowing dark that sought to cloak the world. Could Shinso even mark him, could it even pierce his skin? Going in, Gin hadn't fell prey to any delusion that he'd be more helpful than a mere decoy, a thing to dangle in front of Yhwach to make him strike so that Aizen could take advantage.
The Quincy King's Blut Vene seemed impenetrable, enough so that Yhwach already successfully flung the rogue Shinigami through a handful of structures in a sort of recoiling response to his armored aura being attacked. Gin could handle brushing off rubble from his midst, though it did still hurt, he was not so breakable now with the restoration of his peak health and the return of his right arm. Yhwach's defenses were formidable nonetheless, though Kamishini No Yari's bite could possibly be fast enough that the steeled skin or shielding aura couldn't manifest in time to protect its host.
It was worth a shot, especially after Yhwach went and blasted a hole into Aizen's chest.
❝ — hey! ❞ An unnecessary outcry, Gin knew, but anything to gain even half a second's worth of time ---- he aimed, he made sure that Aizen wasn't in the crossfire this time. A little backwards to then slash his sword out in defense of the man who he had once attempted -- no, succeeded to kill in a very similar fashion. Realistically, Gin knew that Aizen could regenerate the wound fairly fast. He also knew Yhwach was possibly the only remaining thing in existence that could wipe Aizen off the face of the universe. He didn't want to risk giving the Quincy King a chance to test that theory.
Yhwach moved in for another blow against the bloodied Aizen and thus Gin struck in tandem to intercept. When his blade swept across the great expanse of the invaded Royal Palace, Gin paid no mind to the collateral damages that Kamishini No Yari caused in the background. Pale towers collapsed, but it was Yhwach he sought to rend in two. For a brief blip he saw that black caped figure indeed separate with the wedging cut of his Zanpakuto. Yet, in the instant following, a blinked snap erased the deed and Gin was subsequently overshadowed by a volley of arrows zipping his way.
The crack of forceful gusts of power and wind that his blade caused when it retracted back to defend its wielder was deafening, a delayed roar of sound akin to the way thunder lurked through the sky following the swift dart of lightning. He swept the blade back out in another snapping shot in a wide arch to cut through the incoming volley, shattered light and shards of arrows came raining down in a sweep in the weapon's stead.
Another blip, and those arrows snapped into repair (or were they ever truly cut to begin with...?) a frustratingly sharp spark of panic ignited in Gin when he rushed to Shunpo out from the line of fire instead, dashing to narrowly avoid becoming skewered through the chest by the seemingly inevitable barrage. He hadn't attempted 'blocking' the blow for kicks, it was expansive, blanketing the entirety of the area Gin stood at -- those fast-traveling beams of blue were relentless and quick to overwhelm.
He was struck ---- ran through, to be exact, how an arrow glided in and out of skin and muscle alike like butter yielding to a hot knife. Struck, but Gin didn't have time to assess where, or how badly, just that the bite was akin to the jab of a needle, different from how Kyoka Suigetsu had run him through two years ago. This was cleaner. Perfect. It seemed Gin worked as a fine enough distraction whilst that telltale blur of orange hair proceeded to strike out against Yhwach, a grand slash that landed true, leading to a terribly stiff silence thereafter. He didn't remember falling down, didn't even stop to touch at the wound he sustained. And only with the grip that still slightly tinged and itched at his skin firmly holding onto his regenerated right arm did Gin realize he was being guided back onto his feet.
The entirety of Soul Society proceeded to celebrate, to collapse with relief, to mourn, to move toward recovery and rebuilding and all sorts of wondrous things whilst the two traitors vanished. Best to not linger and give the crippled Gotei 13 a chance to remember they needed to shove Aizen Sousuke back into Muken.
Their subsequent return to the vast outskirts, a safehouse tucked away, was near-immediate. Aizen's Sentan Hakuja was as empowered as the rest of his Kido, seemingly, and the massive leap between realms (albeit the Royal Palace was cracking through the fabric of realities at the time...) led them to the Rukongai. Effortless, despite their mutual bloodied states. Aizen's arm was already reformed, though his chest still suffered a slower rebound. Gin almost laughed out loud when the man gingerly touched against his bleeding side. Ah, that's where he got hit, then -- a bit difficult to discern amongst the chaos.
It was funny, getting fussed over whilst the man had a hole in his chest. But at this rate that was a state of normalcy between them, wasn't it? That wound was closing before Gin's eyes, anyway. Durable bastard.
❝ Gonna whip out your Bankai to fix this one, too, Sousuke? I'll be covered in gold at this rate. ❞ More of a tease than an actual ask; he wasn't dying from this, though he needed to stop the bleeding. Aizen seemed on top of that, a hovered hand emitting a low hot glow. Golden light as opposed to the standard green -- likely a token of his released powers prior.
❝ You didn't have to do that, Gin. ❞ Aizen spoke, healing away the residual ache as well. He was thorough, a glint of something in that one visible eye.
❝ I'm aware. ❞ A pause, and Gin swallowed down something in favor of electing for more sass. A grin, a playful tip upwards of his chin, and oh how they fell back into such trivial little bickers and snarks. Aizen's hand ceased its hovering, instead pressing to the Shinigami's mended side. Gin did not draw back, no matter the heat that subtly burned with that contact. If Aizen kept his touch intact perhaps Gin would become branded over the course of, say, ten or fifteen minutes? Vermisse dich, deinen kuss
Dich zu spüren
nicht den Frust, dich
fühlen und zu berühren
nur zu zweit
wahrzunehmen wie Lust
dann zeit
unseren Körper übernahm
wie wir uns gegenseitig halten
Mund an Ohr
sagen unsre nam‘n
Wie wir verschmelzen
Arm in Arm
Bist was ich mir ersehne
Kein blut nur liebe
fließt durch diese vene
Wäre gern dein Freund dein Mann
dein Partner deiner Seele
Hab ich eins dann Sehnsucht
auf dass ich
An deiner Seite Lebe

-In dem Schatten wo ich sitzt' war Blut das einzige zum färben, denn du meintest mal zu mir, ich bräuchte Farbe in meinem Leben und genau deshalb Schnitt ich mir dann grade durch die Vene.

Hello there, Aizen-Sama. I had a question that has been nawing at my brain for a while now. Would you have allowed the likes of Orihime Inoue, Kurosaki Ichigo, Ishida Uryū, and or Yasutora ‘Chad’ Sado to join your ranks should they have realized soul society’s corruption and chosen to do something about it?
Without hesitation.
I will admit that my recruitment may have needed a bit more polish, what, with it being basically kidnapping, but I did attempt to sway Inuoe Orihime into action regarding the hogyoku. To be fair, I was a bit... shall we say, underhanded, since when I showed the hogyoku to her I was hoping to inspire her to attempt to reject its phenomenon, mostly to test whether or not she was able to reject it from me, should the hogyoku ever accept me as its master. (Which, as we know, it eventually did.)
Unfortunately, as I have mentioned, despite my decades of studying psychology, people's motivations often baffle me. Inoue proved far too timid. She never attempted such an act of daring and bravery (which once again underscores the truly impressive nature of my Momo when faced with adversity.) Thus, I was forced to discredit Inoue and claim that I was never interested in her powers and that she was a "useless" person, in general.
Which of course, was entirely false.
Inoue, who never tested her ability to reject the hogyoku despite my year and a half of imprisonment, is still one of the few people I truly fear. If her powers are as I imagine they are, she is frighteningly powerful. (If you are sneering to yourself right now, Anonymous, you're a fool. I am certain the reason Inoue could not reject the Soul King's death has to do with the fact that she was suddenly "gifted" a new--very crudely revealing, I might add--outfit from a very untrustworthy shopkeeper. Now, why Urahara Kisuke would conspire to let the Soul King die, with the aid of Shutara's nullifying fabrics, is a question I can only speculate on.... however, my guess is that Urahara hoped his loyal student, Kurosaki Ichigo, might ascend to that role, after being compelled , as Urahara surely must have known he would be, due to his Blut Vene to kill the sitting king.)
So, of the offered candidates, Inoue would be my first choice of allies. Next, I would take, if he could be convinced, Ishida Uryuu. Sternritter 'A' is always welcome at my table, especially now, as I find myself in need of point of transfer in Fate.
Besides, Ishida has a personality I can respect. There is a very off-chance, dear Anonymous, that Ishida Uryuu and I could bond over favorite books and, in time, become something passing as "friends."
Yasutora Sado and Kurosaki Ichigo are a matched set, one always following the other, so they would be my third choice. I enjoyed fighting on the battlefield with Kurosaki when we combined our forces to engage the upstart, Juha Bach, but... Kurosaki Ichigo comes with a lot of entanglements, most of whom are devoted to my destruction and elimination. Asking Kurosaki to chose between my agenda and his friends would not go well for my agenda. To be clear, Kurosaki simply has too many friends who dislike me and it is clear that Kurosaki is a man who values his friends over his own life. There is hardly a scenario I can imagine that could capture Kurosaki's trust so completely that he would abandon his friendships for me.
However, if one presented itself, I would take it.
Despite what you might imagine of me, Anonymous, I get along with a wide variety of people--you need only look to my former Arrancar and Espada army to see that. And, yes, many of them followed me out of fear of my massive reiatsu, but I was also once a very popular captain. I can play nice, if I must.

Episode 7 eyecatch: Blut
Quincies can enhance their attack or defence levels by allowing spiritual particles to flow directly into their bloodstreams.
The more powerful a Quincy is, the greater a boost to their physical abilities they will experience upon activation of Blut, which can even put them on par with Soul Reapers in Bankai.
There are two types of Blut - Blut Arterie and Blut Vene which boosts their attacks and defences respectively. They function on independent spiritual particle systems, thus it is not possible to activate both at the same time.
Pure-blooded Quincies are born with this ability while mixed-blood Quincies may attain it with practice.

Reiatsu Headcanons: Jin
The color of Jin's Reiatsu varies between crimson and light teal, and it will sometimes swap between the two colors during combat. Jin's natural Reiatsu color is crimson, but since drinking the Bitto serum, that light teal color that will pop up sometimes, his Reiatsu usually changing into that color when he's exerting a great deal more power than usual-- i.e during very, very serious fights where he's forced to dig deeper into his power reserves.
Jin's Reiatsu has a natural, somewhat 'foreboding' element to it, and when released in large amounts, it can (depending on someone's willpower or bravery of course) cause those around him to feel unnerved or apprehensive, and not because of it's power, no there's just an inherent quality to his Reiatsu that's disquieting. It's unlikely that Jin's going to be inspiring panic or terror in anyone's hearts with his Reiatsu alone (unless they're particularly cowardly or weak), but generally the feeling it emanates is ominous-- if pure evil ever had a definitive feeling, it would radiate from Jin's Reiatsu. You can imagine how amplified this feeling produced by Jin's Reiatsu gets when he uses a certain technique, however...
Until recently, Jin never knew that you could cloak yourself in your own Reiatsu and use it as a sort of shield (showing surprise during the Bount Arc when he noticed Ichigo using Reiatsu like this), and while this was never much of a problem for him-- as a Bount Jin has access to Geist Ägide, similar to the Quincy's Blut Vene-- you can say that since learning this was a thing, he's found it to be a useful tool, and its definitely added to his defensive capabilities.

HC: BLUT
                                Additional Ability.
Most people know by this point what Blut means for a Quincy, but to quickly summarize it: due to increasing the Reishi flow in the body, Quincy can use this technique for an increase in their offence and their defence, allowing them to use a multitude of sub-techniques [ Blut Arterie, Blut Vene, Blut Vene Anhaben ], with the clear distinction that the offence and defence capabilities can not be used at the same time.
In Jugram's case, his abilities are slightly different. While he can, indeed, use everything named above, he is also capable of using Blut as a benefit for others. It happens due to his Soul Distribution Ability, making it possible that his own defence abilities can be used for another person, as long as he wills it.
Aka, he can heal injuries and even repair whole missing parts of another person, obviously not to the extent Orihime can do [ like replacing a whole arm is not in his spectrum ], but to a considerable degree, especially with wounds inflicted by Quincy themselves and on other Quincy. Stitching together cut skin? Replacing chunks of flesh torn off? It means little to him, yet comes with a price: using his own Blut to do so in the first place. As my Jugram has a specifically low pain recognition, cutting his hand/his wrist/his arm [ usually for better access to large veins ] is something he will do nearly naturally and without even thinking much.
There is a catch, however, in that he will rarely [ very rarely ] do so. If at all, said ability is used solely for other Quincy, preferably also only for Sternritter. He sees himself personally responsible for their well-being [ as long as they behave and follow orders ] and will, therefore, use said skill without them needing to request it and - at times as well - without them even expecting it. It is a gift after all. If it is any other person? He will not do so, specifically not during wartime, he does not care for the Arrancar that work for them and will also not use it on Aides or mere Soldat [ an exception may be his personal assistants, but that is also debatable ]. If any other kind may work for them? Unlikely as well, it is a skill specifically only used on Sternritter.
And even they might not all know about it.
