Link wasn’t one to hold grudges. Though, there’s always an exception. One big, stupid, idiot exception. How DARE he run off on an adventure leaving this poor kid in Hateno. Alone. Abandoned. He’d already spilled his tale of woe and neglect to the neighboring carpenters who were so moved that they’d offered to adopt him--on the condition he changed his name to ‘Linkson.’ --A kind offer, but he turned it down.
For a time, he sulked indoors, and waited in agony for the traitor’s return. Finally his ears picked up the approaching footfalls coming up small stairwell of the porch. Link sprung up having his rehearsed monologue at the ready and impatience stretched to its limit. With a hearty swing, Link flung open the door not caring that it would hit his older counterpart with enough force to knock him back down the stairs.
There the little hero stood with his arms crossed and glaring back at the other Link. His sour expression so distinct it had only one thing to say: ‘You have a lot of explaining to do.’

Word alone, she feels, fails to translate — and so he must endure the waterworks sullying his good clothes, for her rush into his arms begets the wail lodged within throat.
She nuzzles. She sniffles. She speaks. ❝ I’ll visit you, ❞ she swears, ❝ Every — every weekend. Return as I may to where I once came, home is many a place — and with you it lies, papa. Please, never forget that. ❞
Funny, then, for the furious fiddling within his robes to cease so suddenly, and for her vacant, ascending gaze to ask the damning question——

He had felt proud that his sister’s spirit could rest at ease now knowing the task she had set forth to complete had finally been finished─── && yet there was a new feeling of emptiness he felt, as though his guardian spirit had left him. He had been avoiding Ruta, && yet now he found himself looking up longingly at it, wondering if he would feel at ease if he approached what he was never allowed near as a child. After all... it was meant for MIPHA not himself. His thoughts were cut short as he noticed the blond standing near him, silently left to wonder how long the boy stood there.

The doctor had just been trying to collect some herbs for a batch of potions when she suddenly realized just how high up she’d wound up. Her general fear of heights paralyzed her and now she stood on a thin ledge, back pressed tight against the wall as she tried to slowly inch her way across to the safety of the ground.
──AT LEAST, SHE WOULD IF SHE WAS ABLE TO MOVE.

I wish I had something really poetic to say here, but I don’t. I honestly just try to let how I feel the characters would speak and act flow through me and really try to get in the mindset of “How would this character describe what they’re doing?” Really, I just sorta word vomit though. There’s not really a good sense or elegance to my writing, I just sorta let my fingers go and a lot of times even forget to go back and make sure it makes sense, probably why I’m not necessarily the best rp partner, lol.
I guess that rolls into what I would change about my writing style, which is to maybe have more thought into actually having one. The best part is I used to try so hard to write eloquently, but that was also while I was still taking creative writing classes in colleges and wasn’t a brain dead graduate.
Oh goodness, shout out to rpers I love ?? There are so many, and it’s just so hard to only pick a few. I’m on limited sleep and just worked two 12 hour shifts and finishing up a 9 hour shift at the animal ER On and following the full moon so my brain is MUSH. My apologies if I miss someone I truly love! If we interact or I follow you, know I secretly adore you.

FINALLY, AN END TO THIS VAST STRETCH OF FOG ... How many hours has it been since he had seen a clear sky? Night had turned into day, the cool cedar forest had twisted into gnarled and dead trees ... And the summer evening, once filled with the songs of crickets and the sound of a babbling stream, now replaced by eerie white noise and crows.
Yet at long last, respite. The fog cleared away to reveal a vast field, filled with shady trees and a stretch of dirt path. Had he been more awake, he might have asked himself how he ended up here -- but his feet are sore and frankly, his eyes had grown heavy. Unable to fight off the urge to rest, the twelve year-old stumbles and saunters tiredly toward a tree sprouted beside the path, where he would lay himself down, and let the sweeping grass lull him to sleep. // @bladeoath

I confess this is long overdue, I said years ago I would do one for 300, then 400, and when I got to 500 I barely had the time to think about it before I was at 550... anyway, you get the idea. I don’t know where you guys keep coming from, but man am I glad to see you. It’s thanks to all of you this blog is still kicking well into its third year and I’m honestly so thankful this blue prince can still instigate some interest.
There are some people I want to give a special shout-out to, however, because they keep me motivated to get online every day and do what I do more than most.
@ofimitations / @windsadept / @felinae / @birdballads / @larchangele ; This is probably getting repetitive at this point, but you still deserve a mention more than anyone else. You were there long before this journey started and I hope you’ll be there long after. I still very much admire how well you can grasp the characterization of any muse you dare pick up and, of course, your talent for art. Hopefully you keep sharing those with me for many more years to come. You’ve been the greatest friend I could have hoped for and a reliable enabler, supporter and reminder that someone somewhere does enjoy the effort I put into this character - on top of being an outstanding roleplay partner and writer. Together we ride -- and that’s an understatement.
@radiantxhero ; you were the first person I met through this blog and definitely the one to have the biggest influence on it. On day one, we had an immediate connection both ooc and through roleplay, and I knew I could count on you to push my writing and characterization to the next level. I was right in the sense that there’s little I haven’t done with you. Our muses have come much farther together than I had ever expected them to, and I’ve found a friend I know I can always confide in and who will never give up on me, no matter what.
@miracleblossom ; you let me into your sanctuary, quite literally, and that’s something I’ll never stop being thankful for. Not only is it the side of this community I like best, but you also turned out to be a very good friend, and I love getting to geek out over games and movies with you - as scarce as it is nowadays. I’ll never forget the early botw days, or our few movie nights, and you’ll always be one of the best things that happened to this community in my opinion - no matter how sparse your activity becomes.
@caraidean ; you honestly restored my faith in multi-muse blogs. It’s so refreshing to see someone who’s so dedicated in developing them based on canon rather than collecting them for the heck of it, and to have them all be treated with the same amount of effort. It’s admirable, really, how well you manage to do them all justice, on top of being an excellent partner in general when it comes to plotting and writing long, relevant threads.
