BLACK (& WHITE) CAT FRIDAY!
Rufio is 4 years-old and sponsored by Dr. Bronwyn Purcell. SNAP Cats rescued Rufio from Contra Costa County, CA. Look at that face!!! Rufio doesn't have Manx Syndrome, but it's the closest description for what he does have. Rufio pees in the box, but poop just sorta-kinda falls out whenever it feels like it. Needless to say, Rufio's kind of a messy kitty. Rufio's on Miralax to keep him regular, and he takes it like a champ with his wet food! Other than that, he's a normal, healthy, playful, active kitty who loves laps and attention (and those spring toys... LOVES those spring toys!).
If you're interested in Rufio please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY
GG is 7 years 11 months-old and sponsored by Linda Higgins. SNAP Cats rescued GG from Rohnert Park, CA. Don’t let that grumpy face fool you. GG is a very sweet, loving, chill kitty, who’s fairly independent and doesn’t need a whole lotta attention, other than his twice-daily insulin injections, which he takes extremely well (doesn't even notice). GG gets along fine with the others here, is kinda picky about his wet food (but he DEFINITELY likes his wet food!), and just kinda sits around and watches the world go by him.
If you’re interested in GG please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
Meet Clyde. He's 1 year 8 months-old and sponsored by Amber Wells. SNAP Cats rescued Clyde from Kings County (CA). When Clyde first arrived with his sister, Bonnie, they were very bonded. Since then, the two have gradually de-bonded (there’s that word again!), and Bonnie was adopted!
Clyde can be a bit skittish to begin with, but once he gets to know you, he’ll warm up quickly, especially if there’s food involved! Despite missing both back paws, Clyde gets around great. His legs stay sore-free, so they shouldn’t be an issue in the future. Clyde did have a hematoma on his ear, thus the crinkling, but it’s healed, and we think adds a bit of character.
If you’re interested in Clyde please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

TUXEDO TUESDAY!
This handsome man is Gustavo. He’s 3 years 4 months-old and FeLV+ & FIV+. And Gustavo needs a sponsor! SNAP Cats rescued Gustavo from Tijuana, Mexico. Gustavo was found living behind a gas station in Tijuana, Mexico. Sweet and friendly, he was scooped up and taken to the vet for an exam and bloodwork. That’s when it was discovered that Gustavo is both FIV+ and FeLV+.
Gustavo can be a bit timid at first. He needs to get to know and trust you before he opens up with his big purr and head buts. Given time we think Gustavo will be a lap cat. But he needs the right person to give him time and patience.
Since Gustavo is FeLV+, he’ll need to be with other FeLV+ kitties, or an only kitty. Honestly, he’d probably prefer to be an only kitty or with a passive female cat.
If you’re interested in Gustavo please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
Yes, believe it or not, Sparrow's still here. STILL! Sparrow is 10 years-old and sponsored by Alana Lavery. SNAP Cats rescued Sparrow from Kuwait. Sparrow is very affectionate with people. He loves attention and pets. Other cats? Not so much. HOWEVER, only if they get in his way. Sparrow has come a long way here to tolerating and accepting other cats. So, even though Sparrow would prefer to be an only kitty (so he can get 100% of your attention), he'd be fine with an cat that keeps to himself/herself. Being blind, Sparrow will need a stable environment, meaning furniture, cat trees, etc, can’t be moved around at all as it’ll disorient him.
Sparrow will also benefit from a water fountain since he uses his sense of hearing to help navigate his environment. Sparrow uses the litter box 100% of the time, and loves his wet food! LOVES IT!
If you’re interested in Sparrow please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

When Clyde arrived here with his sister, Bonnie, they were very bonded. BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
Hector is 16 years 7 months-old (doesn't look a day over 10!) and sponsored by Stefanie Kraus. SNAP Cats rescued Hector from Fields Landing, CA. Hector is a very chill, very sweet senior kitty. He desires attention when you’re around but will sleep the day away without any human contact. Hector gets along great with the other kitties and uses the litter box 100% of the time. Hector is currently on thyroid meds 2x day, which he takes in pill pockets easy-peasy. He is in the very (and we mean VERY) early stages of renal failure, so we are giving him daily fluids, which should be continued. Other than that, he’s a healthy 16+ year-old that won't demand much more than a few pets, and a nice, comfy window perch to watch the birds and snooze the day away.
If you’re interested in Hector please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/category/adoption/catsforadoption/. Thanks.

Yesterday it was Bonnie, so of course today it’s Clyde. Clyde also celebrated his first birthday on August 15th, and is sponsored by Amber Wells. SNAP Cats rescued Clyde from Kings County (CA). BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
Meet Bonnie & Clyde. They’re about 8 months-old and missing paws: Clyde is missing both back paws; Bonnie is missing one back paw. SNAP Cats rescued Bonnie & Clyde from Kings County, CA. These siblings are so cute together. The snuggle together. Play together. Eat... no, wait. When it comes to food it’s every cat for themselves. They both are extremely food motivated. Despite missing some paws, Bonnie & Clyde are very mobile (especially if you have a plate of food in your hand!). And there’s no current concern that the missing paws will cause any medical problems.
Bonnie & Clyde need to be adopted together. They will take some time to open up in their new home, but eventually they’ll be wonderful lap kitties looking for a lot of human attention.
If you’re interested in Bonnie & Clyde please fill out an adoption application at https://www.snapcats.org/adoption-process/. Thanks!

BLACK CAT FRIDAY!
This is Violet. She’s about one year old and has mobility issues in her rear legs. Violet showed up in a TNR group in the East Bay (Oakland) with an injured tail and odd bunny hop gait. She also had bone visible on her hocks. Violet was taken to a local vet who fixed her up, amputated her damaged tail, and advised that Violet’s odd bunny hop gait is likely permanent. According to Island Cat Resources & Adoption (the TNR group who rescued Violet), Violet is super sweet, gets around fine, and uses the litter box 100% of the time.
Violet will be arriving here tomorrow (Saturday) at about 1pm. You can watch her arrival on our live webcam at https://www.youtube.com/user/SNAPCatsVideo.
