Carewyn is cool and her mother seems amazing! The O’Donnell quads (Ryan, Cara, Sara, & Conor) would be very awkward and in awe of Lane Cromwell as their mom died before their 1st birthday. They only have their abusive, neglectful jerk of a uncle to go off of as a parental figure.
[Did you say four siblings from different houses with no good parental figures? That’s basically her with her siblings, when they were young! Except, you know...functional and loving and supportive of each other. So yeah, Lane likes these kids already, even though she’s absolutely not used to having quite so many people in her home, LOL.
While Lane’s picking out books in the other room, she can hear the quadruplets whispering among themselves probably going all “is this woman for real?” and “she can’t really be this nice” and “I think she seems cool,” that sort of stuff. Once she’s picked out everything she’s looking for, she comes into the living room with a whole stack in her arms.]
“Here we are...”
“I picked out a couple things I thought you guys might find interesting -- feel free to peruse them, while you’re waiting. I’ll bring out the tea when it’s ready.”
[She sets the worn, but well-cared-for books down on the coffee table. Their titles include things like The Annotated Tales of Beedle the Bard, The Noble Sport of Warlocks, Most Macabre Monstrosities, Dominating Dementors: A True History of Azkaban, and Saucy Tricks for Tricky Sorts.]
((OOC: Whew! Sorry that took a while -- I’m not used to drawing quite so many characters!! XD I’m afraid I was sort of reliant on the aesthetics you made for your kids as reference (adding Sara’s glasses that I saw in a screenshot you took from the game in another post), so I hope their clothes and overall look work for you! Funnily enough your face claim for Cara, Sadie Sink, is also my face claim for Carewyn, who of course is also a Slytherin -- so yeah, LOL, small world after all!

The Lynch-O’Donnell Family Tree
The first tree is dedicated to the O’Donnell family, while the second one is dedicated to the Lynch family. They both follow the six most recent generations, although both can be traced back much further. They joined together in the fourth generation with the marriage of Seán O’Donnell (b. 1936) and Ailis Lynch (b. 1936), thus sharing both the fifth and sixth generations. The fifth generation is solely made up of Seán and Ailis’s five children and their spouses, while the sixth generation is made up of Seán and Ailis’s grandchildren as Ailis’s brother, Doyle (b. 1925), never married and died childless.
John O’Donnell (b. 1835) is the first recorded member of this O’Donnell family. Due to a combination of poverty, invasion, war, and language barriers, the previous family members’ names have been lost to history.
The Lynch family can be traced back to the early 1660s with a Slytherin wizard named Cathal Lynch. There are numerous Lynch family members, much more than are shown on the family tree. Most are related to Bain’s siblings.
You may notice that Niamh Kelly (b. 1875) is included in this family tree. It has combined information from the Tadhg Lives AU and the canon timeline. The main difference is the death years. In that timeline, Tadhg dies in 1897 at the age of twenty-three, while Cillian dies in 1931 and Orla dies in 1913. Niamh and her children with Tadhg do not really exist in that timeline.

The Lynch-O’Donnell Lineage — Ask Game!
Thanks @kathrynalicemc for hosting this challenge! It gave me the opportunity to update this family and to expand on some things!
1.) Canon or Fiction? If your family is completely original: Where did the Family name come from? What was your inspiration and who was the first OC you created for it?
Both surnames were chosen because they were Irish. O’Donnell is a popular surname in Donegal, and as the family is located in Donegal, it made sense. I do not remember why I chose the surname “Lynch.”
Technically, the first OCs created for it were Ryan and Sara. I had the HPHM game on two devices and the main characters were Ryan (who had multiple iterations before I settled on his final form) and Sara. However, it’s hard to separate their creation from the creation of Cara and Conor. The four of them are a packaged deal.
2.) Family Ties: What other families are related/connected to this one? Are they Canon families or creator made families? (Tag them!)
Aside from three canon HPHM families, all of the currently related families are my own design. Very few are actually developed, though. Now, here are the confirmed marriages:

3.) Foundations: What year and which OC was the founder of the family line? If the family goes back hundreds of years and you don’t know the first member, tell us about the oldest OC in the family you have created.
The Lynch family really came into existence in the early 1600s with a wizard named Cathal. However, my oldest developed OC is Bain, the abusive and neglectful father of Cillian and Tadhg who dies shortly before the twins’ 13th birthday.
The O’Donnell family goes back for hundreds of years, but the first known person was a man named John, who was born in 1835. However, my oldest developed OC is Lorcan O’Donnell, the quads’ beloved grandfather who died when they were five.
4.) Fun Facts: Do you have any misc lore you have that you haven’t had a chance to post about? Talk about anything you like!
For this, I’ve decided to expand a little on some of my other families as I can’t think of any Lynch or O’Donnell lore!
The Kennedy family’s political dynasty began during the regency period, when Dermot Kennedy gained a seat in the Wizengamot.
Max Pembroke passes by his cousins in the halls of Hogwarts, but never knows it. His mother was disowned for having the gall to marry a muggle sailor.
I’m still not quite sure about what happened to Edmund and Eleanora Whitten, but I know that a bog was involved.
The Battersea family’s surname changed over the years. No one has a record of what it first was though and the family’s exact roots are long forgotten.

Happy Birthday to the quads!
What would each of them say was their best hogwarts memory?
Ryan: “My best memory from Hogwarts is either winning the quidditch cup or my first date with Penny, even though we didn’t have much of a relationship until much later.”
Cara: “Those few times where I was in my animagus form in the dorm and scared the hell out of my roommates. It might not be my absolute favorite memory at Hogwarts, but it’s a great one.”
Sara: “My favorite memory from Hogwarts is when I first started dating Barnaby and we were in this little bubble where it was just the two of us. It was just nice because there were no expectations from anyone and it could just be the two of us learning more about one another.”
Conor: “My f-favorite memory is b-being the f-first person to m-m-master non-verbal m-magic in defense and proving that I’m j-j-j-just as in… intelligent as everyone else.”

Happy birthday to the O'Donnell Quads!
Favourite birthday memory?
Ryan’s favorite birthday memory is his seventeenth birthday when his close friends threw him and his siblings a surprise party. It was just a fun memory and it really helped celebrate such an important moment in the wizarding world.
Cara’s favorite birthday memory is her eleventh birthday when she and her siblings received their Hogwarts letters. It was also memorable because she and her siblings snuck out to Donegal Town, which was near where they had lived with their grandparents and parents.
Sara’s favorite birthday memory is her twenty-sixth birthday. It was her first as a mother and was celebrated big, especially by Barnaby and a six-week-old Val.
Conor’s favorite birthday memory is his fourth birthday. It’s very, very fuzzy but it’s one of the few memories that he has of his father. That makes it extremely special to him.

First things first, a very happy birthday to my favorite set of quadruplets! Onto the question, how do they feel about and respond to the usual, weird questions that people from a multiple birth get? For example: "can you read each other's minds?", "if I pinch him, will you feel it?" and "which one of you is the evil one?". I know some twins that have complicated relationships with those questions, so I've just gotta know.
It really depends on the situation, who’s asking the questions, and what the questions are. Ryan’s more likely to answer them with ridiculous statements but a completely straight face. Cara will either answer the questions in an extremely serious manner or just roll her eyes and tell the person to move on. Sara will politely ask if the person can read their own siblings mind or whatever the question is. Conor usually just shakes his head.
There are moments were all four play along and act like they’re really considering the questions. This happened more when they were younger though.
The older they get, the less patience they have for these questions. By seventh year, it’s quite irritating and frustrating, especially when it’s by their fellow year-mates.

2.) What their love letters look like?
Brianna’s love letters are short and sweet. She knows Elias can get frustrated when he cannot read things, so she tries her best to write things simply and sweet. For some occasions, though, she will write longer and more flowery letters. She always signs her letters with “Yours forever, Brianna.”
Elias‘s love letters are generally short and simple. He usually writes a rough draft before copying it to a clean sheet of paper, then burns the first draft. He will sometimes use flowery prose and language, especially when he wants to show Brianna how much she means to him. He usually signs his letters with a sweet and simple “Love, Elias.”
13.) Who makes a bigger deal of birthdays?
Rowan usually does. She likes having her own birthday, as she was born on a different day than her twin. She also knows that sharing a birthday with three siblings can be a lot and that the O’Donnell quads didn’t have solo birthdays until adulthood.
Therefore, Cara’s first birthday when they’re together, Rowan goes all out in making a celebration just for Cara. She wants to make it special for Cara.

Happy FFWF 💛
You have so many amazing OCs! I can imagine it varies, but who of them do you find the easiest to create content for and who the hardest? And why?
Thank you!!!
So, Tadhg Lynch is pretty easy to create content for. He‘s such a fun character and he has the absolute best platonic relationships (the Gryffindorks, Tadhg Lynch Protection Squad). He’s also my only OC where an AU is considered his primary timeline. He dies in canon, so the Tadhg Lives AU usurps that one.
The O’Donnell quads have been easy to create content for. They’re my original HPHM MCs and just are complex and fun. Their dynamics are fun to play with, especially with each sibling in a different house. I have a soft spot for working with Conor in particular because he has a stutter/stammer and that’s a big part of how his character develops. These four are also going to be getting new content for their birthday on August 18.
Ophelia Quinn is probably the hardest to creat content for. I’ve forgotten she exists a couple times, when reblogging ask games and listing everyone. She’s also in the golden era so we know a lot about that and it’s just not the easiest to work with. She’s also my first to really be shipped with canon character, who’s not from HPHM. Colin Creevey’s her love interest.

Birthday, Part 2: Party Planning

The kitchen table at the Burrow was overflowing. There were twelve occupants at the table, and they had a lot of different lists. They had about a week to get everything together, as the O’Donnell quads turned 16 on the 18th and it was the 12th. Aside from it being August, the quads’ birthday also happened to be a Friday, which made it a lot easier to throw the surprise party on their actual birthday.
“So, where do we want to start? Food, music, decor?” Rowan Khanna asked, gesturing to the mess on the table in front of her.
“Well, we’ve already sent the invitations and know that the O’Donnells aren’t doing anything that night, so maybe music?” Ash Khanna suggested.
“Sure.”
“I have a lot of records I could bring!” Carewyn suggested.
“Okay.” Rowan reached onto the table and grabbed a piece of paper. She wrote the word “music” in big letters at the top. “So, which groups do we want?”
“We need The Who for Conor. Ryan really likes The Beatles as well as The Rolling Stones. Cara likes the Stones as well. Sara’s good with more poppy stuff like Duran Duran,” Malcolm said.
“Okay. Anything else?”
“The Weird Sisters!” Carewyn exclaimed.
“Okay! Spencer, Becca, Artemis any suggestions?”
“Uh, I think I’ve heard Conor talk about U2 and R.E.M.,” Becca said.
“Oh! How about Elton John or David Bowie?” Carewyn asked.
“Sure. We could probably use one or two more groups after that,” Rowan said, continuing to jot down what the suggestions were.
“How about Bruce Springsteen and the Clash?” Malcolm asked.
“Okay. I think that’s good for music.”
“Shouldn’t we have some more wizarding music?” Charlie asked.
“I haven’t heard them talk too much about wizarding music,” Bill said. “Usually, it’s muggle music.”
“We should move on. Food or decor?” Rowan said, taking charge once again.
She placed the paper with music down onto the table, and reached for another empty piece of parchment.
“How about decor?” Artemis asked.
“Sure,” Rowan said, writing the word “decor” in big letters at the top. “So, what kind of decorations do we want?”
“The Bats!” Malcolm exclaimed. He got a few odd looks. He sighed. “The Ballycastle Bats, you know, the quidditch team. Let’s just have a couple Bats logos, maybe a Kenmare Kestrels logo as well.”
“Well, three out of the four do like quidditch,” Penny commented.
“Yeah. It doesn’t need to be a lot. Just a couple.”
“Alright, you’ll be completely in charge of that, Malcolm,” Rowan said, jotting down “Bats” and “Malcolm.”
“I think we should have red, green, blue, and yellow streamers and stuff,” Carewyn said.
“I agree. That way each O’Donnell gets some individual recognition,” Artemis said.
“Yeah. Maybe we put out like different tables and decorate each corner of the yard differently. Like a Ryan corner and Sara corner and Cara corner and Conor corner. Guests can put the individual gifts in each corner and then one in the middle or somewhere for the all four gifts.”
“That’s a pretty good idea,” Rowan said, jotting down Carewyn’s idea.
“Oh, Gracie and Tessa Chiva volunteered to bring some string lights for us to hang up,” Spencer said.
“Ok. Does anyone else have any more decor ideas?”
“Maybe we hang the Irish flag!” Tonks offered, smirking slightly.
Rowan shook her head. “I‘ll put it down, but I don’t know if we’ll use it,” she said.
“That’s fine.”
Rowan placed the decorations list onto the table and took another sheet of parchment. She wrote the word “food” in big letters at the top of the paper.
“So, what’s on the menu?” Rowan asked.
“Well, Mum volunteered to make the bulk of the actual like dinner,” Charlie said.
“Okay. So what do we want for dinner, since the party starts at 6:30?”
“It’s not dinner, exactly, but I can try and make soda bread. It’s a fairly traditional Irish bread,” Malcolm offered.
“Sure. What should we add for dinner, though?” Rowan said, not looking up from the parchment as she jotted down Malcolm’s offer.
“How's spaghetti? It’s simple and easy and I know the O’Donnells all like it. We could have a couple side dishes as well,” Penny suggested.
Rowan watched as the majority of the group nodded. “Okay, so we need a few sides then. What do we think would work?”
“Meatballs!” “Chips!” “Mashed potatoes!” “Garlic bread!” “Let’s add ham as a main dish!” Rowan jotted down the different suggestions. They didn’t seem too overwhelming.
“How about we let Mrs. Weasley figure out what’s too much?” Rowan asked.
“Mum’ll be fine doing whatever. She’ll enlist me and Charlie and our other siblings to help,” Bill said.
“Okay, if you’re sure. We can move on to snacks and dessert, then.”
“I’m positive.”
Rowan sighed. “So who wants to bring what desserts or snacks?”
“I’ll bake chocolate chip cookies!” Spencer exclaimed, smiling.
“I’m going to make red velvet brownies,” Carewyn said.
“The Chiva twins said they’ll bring monkey bread,” Barnaby added.
“Okay. Ash and I can bring cupcakes,” Rowan said, jotting down everything that had just been said. “Now, snacks. What do we need?”
“Goldfish crackers. Conor’s addicted to them,” Artemis said. “They’re a muggle snack.”
“Okay. Anything else?”
“How about crisps of some type? The brand Tayto is big in Ireland,” Malcolm said.
“Sure. Maybe we do a couple brands of crisps,” Rowan said.
The group continued to add and debate things for a good fifteen more minutes. Then, before they adjourned for the night, they went through and assigned people jobs for the decorating. They agreed to meet on the 18th at 4:30 in order to start decorating, and made the agreement to send out reminders to all the invitees telling them to arrive between 6 and 6:30. They also double checked that they had actually agreed to invite the quads, because if they hadn’t it wouldn’t have been a great thing.
