Birgi Çakırağa Konağı (Ödemiş, İzmir)

Türk Rokoko mimarlığının en güzel örneklerinden biri olan Çakırağa Konağı, mimari üslubunu korumuş ender konaklardan biridir.

Rivayete göre Çakıroğlu’nun biri İzmirli, diğeri İstanbullu iki eşi varmış.

Eşlerinin sıla hasretlerini gidermeleri için İstanbul odasına, içinde yelkenlilerin yüzdüğü Haliç, İzmir odasına ise Kadifekale’den Konak panoramik manzaralarının yer aldığı duvar süslemelerini yaptırmıştır.

Konağın I. Abdülhamid (1774-1789) veya III. Selim devrinde (1789-1807) yapıldığı düşünülmektedir.

Birgi Çakırağa Mansion (Ödemiş, İzmir, Türkiye 🇹🇷)

Çakırağa Mansion, one of the most beautiful examples of Turkish Rococo architecture, is one of the rare mansions that has preserved its architectural style.

Rumor has it that Çakıroğlu had two wives, one from Izmir and the other from Istanbul.

In order for his wives to relieve their homesickness, he had wall decorations made in the Istanbul room, showing the Golden Horn where sailboats sail, and in the Izmir room, with panoramic views of Konak from Kadifekale.

The mansion was built by Abdulhamid I (1774-1789) or III. It is thought to have been built during the Selim period (1789-1807). Osman Kürşat SERTTÜRK

Hello, and welcome to the Etali Review

This is literally just a blog for me to review cards for Etali, Primal Conqueror as a commander/EDH deck in Magic: the Gathering.

My pronouns (and Etali's) are she/her/hers. This blog is aggressively queer-friendly. Bigots will be eaten by the giant lightning dinosaur.

Cards not in the list will be reviewed on 4 axes (this system needs work, so bear with me please). I'm tentatively calling this the SVEPE system (pronounced "sveep"): Synergy 0-5. This describes the card's potential to interact with our gameplan positively (ie copying Etali, caring about ETBs and tokens, or similar).

Versatility 0-5. This describes how effective the card is in a variety of scenarios. Something like Dockside Extortionist is always good, so it scores a 5, while something like Veil of Summer is pretty specific so it might score a 2 or a 3.

Explosive Potential 0-5. This describes the ability of a card to either combo or facilitate a storm turn. Highly explosive cards such as Birgi, God of Storytelling help us accelerate into a crazy turn, while less explosive cards that score 1-3 in this category look more like your standard mana and card advantage engines (dorks and mana rocks etc).

Efficiency 0-5. This describes how effectively a card does its job in any scenario. Birds of Paradise has an efficiency score of 5, as it's arguable the best Gruul mana dork. Something like Ilysian Caryatid will get something closer to a 3, as it's usually a 2 mana for 1 mana dork in the early game.

Cards that score below a 13 will not be considered for the main list (and usually won't be reviewed unless requested). 13 to 17 will put a card in the "Considering" section, meaning it needs playtesting or is a more niche pick. 18s and 19s go in the sideboard, or sometimes straight to the main list. By my estimate, the only 20 as of right now is Food Chain.

Personaggio eclettico, Rostagno approdò in Sicilia dopo diverse esperienze. A Trento era stato protagonista nelle lotte studentesche ed era anche stato tra i fondatori di Lotta Continua. Dopo una lunga permanenza a Milano, Rostagno creò il circolo “Macondo”, prima di andare in India a seguire le orme del guru Osho. In Sicilia il piemontese non si occupava solo della Saman. Da giornalista aveva il brutto vizio di avventurarsi per soddisfare la sua curiosità. Così cominciò a denunciare gli intrighi mafiosi attraverso Radio Tele Cine, una televisione locale di cui divenne presto il principale animatore, discutendo di mafia e malaffare, con tanto di nomi e cognomi. Tra marzo e giugno 1988, Rostagno rivelò a una sua collaboratrice che era stato chiamato da alcuni personaggi influenti trapanesi che gli avevano consigliato di lasciar perdere la sua inchiesta sulla loggia massonica Scontrino. Nello stesso periodo Mauro stava raccogliendo, in gran segreto, materiale per una sua ricerca fondata su una tesi che vedeva collegamenti precisi tra l’omicidio del giudice Ciaccio Montalto, le indagini da questi portate avanti, la famiglia Minore di Trapani, il boss Mariano Agate e alcuni imprenditori catanesi. C’era anche un’altra pista che toglieva il sonno a Rostagno. Si era accorto per puro caso che nella zona di Lenzi vi era un traffico di armi, a due passi dalla comunità Saman, dove sorgeva l’ex aeroporto di Milo, in disuso ormai da anni. Dopo la boscaglia, c’erano dei tunnel sotterranei tra Lenzi e il vecchio aeroporto militare. Un posto sicuro dove svolgere operazioni coperte, al riparo da occhi indiscreti. Il giornalista Sergio Di Cori confermò che Rostagno era a conoscenza «di un traffico d’armi che avveniva in una pista aerea in disuso che si trova nei pressi di Trapani. Aveva fatto delle riprese con una telecamera». La scoperta era stata casuale e venne fatta una sera che il giornalista si era appartato con la moglie di un alto ufficiale, in un boschetto dei dintorni. Rostagno filmò la scena in cui casse di medicinali, pronte per essere portate in Africa, venivano sostituite da casse di armi. Tutto documentato in una videocassetta sulla quale Rostagno scrisse: «Non toccare». Emerse così un sistema di connessioni indicibili. Traffici di armi e droga gestiti dalla potente mafia trapanese, con «coperture» insospettabili, a partire dai militari in servizio all’aeroporto di Birgi. Ma anche con coperture politicamente targate Partito socialista. Spuntò fuori che uno dei maggiori referenti socialisti a Trapani era proprio Francesco Cardella, il guru della Saman e braccio destro di Rostagno, che nella testimonianza del vice questore Giovanni Pampillonia avrebbe utilizzato «le scatole vuote della struttura, per gestire traffici di armi con la Somalia, dove il guru avrebbe inviato un suo emissario, ufficialmente, per realizzare un ospedale mai costruito». Il nome dell’emissario era Giuseppe Cammisa (detto “Jupiter”), imparentato con l’avvocato Antonio Messina, boss del narcotraffico di Campobello di Mazara. Una ricostruzione non suffragata, però, dalle sentenze giudiziarie. Di certo Cammisa fu l’ultimo a incontrare in Somalia la giornalista della Rai Ilaria Alpi, prima che questa fosse uccisa. Il 26 settembre 1988, due killer freddarono Mauro Rostagno mentre rientrava in comunità a bordo della sua Duna bianca. Era di ritorno dalla tv, dove aveva condotto il telegiornale. L’auto fu fermata da due uomini che gli spararono con un fucile a pompa e una pistola, uccidendolo sul colpo. Rostagno aveva quarantasei anni. Due mesi prima, aveva incontrato il giudice Giovanni Falcone.
