i’m very new to army and i’m lost with everything except the music-related stuff (how photo cards n stuff work, the difference between versions, etc) any tips/lil facts n stuff for a newbie lol

Hey there, welcome to army!

Some Tips:

if you need help telling the members apart, I used to watch “unhelpful guide to bts” vids on YouTube and they were actually... rlly helpful lol

They have several shows that help you get to know the members’ personalities better. In my opinion Bon Voyage was the best for that, but BTS Run! is their longest running game show. If you want to know what they were like when they first started, they did a series called Rookie King that has some hilarious moments, but just know they’ve changed a lot since then.

Some of the members’ stage names are different from their real names (RM, V, Suga & Jhope) and they all have stories for how they got them. In addition each member has a BT21 character (an animated persona based off them)

A couple important facts:

They’re rlly famous now, but back in 2013 when they first debuted they were considered underdogs because they’re from Big Hit Entertainment, a smaller company that was essentially bankrupt. (They even wrote a song about it called “Baepsae”) They’ve achieved this level of success against all odds, and that’s why so many people are so fiercely proud of them.

They’re known for writing/producing their music themselves, moreso than a lot of other groups. Their lyrics have been controversial in Korea because they call out a lot of social and political injustices

They’ve spoken at the UN and have even been on the cover of Times magazine, in addition to many other appearances where they’ve gotten Kpop and Korea as a whole more exposure and media attention
