The @bemeyers MAWL in both its Class 3B (MAWL-DA) and Class 1 (MAWL-C1+) variants comes with THREE fixed focus, always in-line VCSEL illuminators, with a short range, medium range, and long range profiles. Pictures are the medium (most useful) and short range illumination profiles in picture 1 and 2. 3rd pic is a class 3 ATPIAL/PEQ-15 with illuminator set to be about equivalent to mid range. Notably, the ATPIAL has a single laser illuminator which has a dial to control focus. The dial is usually off axis and rotates the illuminated area around.
