Another BEERLYMPICS has come and gone. The Big Lebrewski (our team) walked away with a bronze medal after some fierce competition. Anden sidste skoleuge og fællesarrangementer
Så er anden sidste skoleuge forbi, og jeg har nu kun en uge tilbage, inden min eksamensperiode begynder.
Sidste uge blev brugt på diverse afleveringer, da jeg har gode 5 afleveringer/quizzes for i denne uge... Jeg fik dog færdiggjort nogle af dem i sidste uge, og er klar til at afslutte det sidste i denne uge.
Udover skole bød denne uge dog også på en masse fællesskab. Onsdag aften holdte vi Secret Santa med mit hus og nabo huset, hvor vi alle havde trukket et navn på en person som vi skulle give en gave til. Jeg fik en gave af Sophie, som havde købt et vildt sjovt kortspil til mig. Det skal jeg nok få brugt en masse på vores roadtrip!
Jeg havde trukket Brita, og min gave til hende var en hjemmestrikket bolero. Jeg synes selv den blev meget flot, og jeg tror også Brita blev glad for den :))
Dagen efter, torsdag, holdte vi Friendsgiving, hvor der var inviteret rigtig, rigtig mange mennesker. Det blev lidt for meget for mig, men de andre hyggede en hel del. Jeg fik spist noget god mad, og vi legede White Elephant, hvor alle tog en gave med, og de blev fordelt random til folk. Her fik jeg et mini legosæt som var vildt fedt.
Fredag aften blev brugt sammen med UQMC, hvor der blev holdt Award Night. Her blev der delt et par priser ud, og jeg var meget overrasket, da jeg fik prisen for "Best Style". Det var en virkelig hyggelig aften, hvor jeg fik snakket en masse med Ingvild og de andre venner jeg har fået i Mountain club.
Lørdag blev der holdt Beerlympics (druklege) hele dagen hjemme hos os. Dette event skippede jeg dog, da jeg skulle løbe halvmaraton med løbeklubben dagen efter. Derfor tog jeg til West End og kiggede på lørdags markedet og gik rundt i byen. Jeg gik også til Milton, hvor jeg fik købt en løbevest, Salomon er virkelig dyrt... Jeg ville nemlig gerne være klar til halvmaraton dagen efter, og jeg ved min danske krop, ikke er lige så god til varmen, som de lokale australiere.
Søndag vågnede jeg kl 5, med en lidt træt krop. Søvnen havde ikke lige været helt i top, da der jo var blevet holdt lidt fest dagen før, men kroppen var i det hele taget bare godt smadret. Jeg ville da stadig gerne prøve og se, om jeg nu kunne løbe det halvmaraton på 1:45. Da jeg så begyndte ruten, kunne jeg rimelig hurtigt mærke, at det ville blive en hård omgang. Lige så snart jeg kom ud i solen, føles det som alt energien blev hevet ud af min krop. Efter 10k vidste jeg godt, at jeg ikke kunne ramme det mål, jeg havde sat mig, men jeg prøvede alligevel at løbe videre i håb om, at jeg i det mindste kunne løbe en ok tid. Jeg valgte dog at stoppe ved omkring de 17k, da min krop virkelig ikke kunne mere, og jeg hellere ville stoppe der, og ikke presse min krop yderligere, end at forsøge at løbe det færdigt. Det var en lidt øv beslutning, men jeg synes selv det var den rigtige. Heldigvis var alle fra løbeklubben virkelig søde og opbakkende. Da jeg var færdig var Brita også kommet ud for at sige tillykke til mig, hvilket var virkelig sødt <3
Efter løbet tog jeg med løbeklubben ud og spise morgenmad, hvor jeg fik spist en masse og drukket en masse vand. Det var virkelig godt for kroppen. Da jeg så kom hjem, lå jeg i sengen næsten hele dagen, da jeg bare var max smadret. Jeg prøver nu at huske mig selv på, at jeg nok skal løbe det halvmaraton på et tidspunkt, og det betyder jo bare, at jeg har den glæde tilgode! Man kan jo heller ikke forvente at PR både i 10k og halvmaraton indenfor en uge.
Jeg glæder mig til at begynde at løbe mine lange stille og rolige turer igen, og få lidt mere ro tilbage i løbet.
Nu begynder sidste skoleuge som sagt, og det bliver så dejligt at få afleveret de sidste ting, så jeg kun skal tænke på eksamerne.
Jeg er lige nu igang med at finde ud af, om mig og nogle andre danskere skal tage på et lille roadtrip i revision week, og komme lidt rundt omkring i Queensland. Jeg skal dog nok huske at komme hjem et par dage før min matematik eksamen, da jeg virkelig skal have læst op på det!

The Sterling, VA 2022 BEERLYMPICS was a HUGE success! Vanilla Chai Latte : Are you in love?
Yeah. I’m a poly person, with a lot of love to give and people in my life that I wouldn’t trade for the world. With romantic inclinations? Definitely. But all of those aren’t acted upon at the moment. Love is a funny thing like that and circumstances are what they are. Things are less than good in that regard but that’s not something to think about right now.
Vanilla Latte : Board games or drinking games?
This is the question I saw and was hoping someone would ask me, because it’s SUCH A tossup for me. I have a literal board game closet in my apartment because my linens can fit in my normal closet instead of the linen one. And there’s plenty of games that I love playing. Hell, I have bought maybe like seven or eight different different people Tabletop Simulator so I can play board games with people around the globe.
But oh man, do I have stories about drinking games. There was a mario party drinking game that ended with the guy who had been winning all night ending up playing all four controllers without realizing because we were THAT drunk and he wanted to keep the game going. Or any of the movie drinking games I’ve played with people that ended in absolute hilarity. Or the time that my brother hosted Beerlympics at his apartment at college and had me be a referee which was basically me determining whether the various icings were legitimate and who managed to chug their natty faster.
But the most fun I’ve ever had was during Drinking Board Games, like the time wherein we got drunk while playing The Resistance and accidentally revealed all three traitors on a 4 player mission, leading to half an hour of arguing, mathematical logic tables, cheers, tears, and utter betrayal. It was glorious.

What happened is just that I'm going through a tough time dealing with a lot of self confidence stuff and hating being all alone when I just wanna be loved by someone. And I watched drunk people play softball to try to ease my pain (it was a Beerlympics event on campus) and a guy was there whose being way too nice to me and I hate being polyamarous because I can have like 40 different crushes at once but stand no chance with anyone because who wants to date the dying person... ~datefriend anon
Noooooo you can’t write yourself off like that without ever like. Trying. And I know it’s sooooo easy to feel like that and just. Let it tester but ya can’t. If you’re really interested in someone and ya wanna be with them ya gotta try. And it’s so much easier said than done but. Ya gotta.

Fermentana releases Bozeman Craft Beer Week 2017 Event Schedule and Official Passport

Inaugural craft beer week schedule packed with over 20 beer-centric events sure to please beer lovers
Bozeman, MT – As the inaugural Bozeman Craft Beer Week approaches, adventurous beer-cationers and locals alike must choose the events that fit their palate best in the Gallatin Valley. For its first year, Bozeman Craft Beer Week will take place May 6th through May 13th, 2017.
Collaboration beers from Bozeman and Belgrade’s nine local breweries will be poured at four different events throughout the week, as well as available on tap at their respective breweries. Styles to be brewed for this maiden event week include a Coffee IPA, fruit-infused Gose, Lemongrass White IPA, Scotch Ale, Single Malt Pale Ale, and a Kolsch. Bozeman residents and visitors will also have the opportunity to experience these collaboration beers paired with small-plated culinary creations during Montana Ale Works’ beer pairing dinner.
Fermentana rolled out Bozeman’s inaugural craft beer week schedule with a Release Party at the Bozeman Taproom the evening of Wednesday, April 12th, 2017 from 5pm-8pm. The following events are slated for this first-of-its-kind event series in the Gallatin Valley:

Additionally, two local beer tour companies will be running week-long activities. Craft beer enthusiasts can enjoy Beer Trivia as you cruise the town on Gear Belly’s pub bike or drink their way through a Scavenger Hunt on a tasting tour with Tour de Foam.
To assist beer lovers on their craft beer week journey, Fermentana has also released the official Bozeman Craft Beer Week Passport. This pocket-sized guide features a full schedule of events and over $100 in special incentives and discounts for passport holders at select sponsoring businesses throughout the week.
