any properly organised society would make a clear and unambiguous categorisation of which kinds of beepy sounds can be used to alert/notify people of things and which kinds of beepy sounds can be used for literally any other purpose (including creative expression and fictionalised representation of alert sounds), these categories would be obviously distinct to the human ear, and mixing them would result in public scorn and a years-long ban from being allowed to create any form of media containing sound.

this is probably not the most pressing problem facing us but it's gotta be like, top five at least.
