Beelzebub Redesign!! I don’t super vibe with the shows design, it is cool but I wish she was just a bee. I really loved the almost lava lamp style hair she has so I knew I wanted it in my redesign. I color referenced from the three following images of her from the show for my design.

I wanted to make a Queen Bee redesign that kept the same vibe while being more insect-like and also hopefully easier to animate.

Absolutely do not take that as me "fixing" anything. It was more of what I would've designed if someone aproached me with "wolf-bee-demon-girl" prompt.

So here's a Beelzebub redesign I made. I rushed it, but I was just trying to see how she could look if the bee aspects of her character were more prominent.

Decided to fuck around with HB's Beelzebub. I like the fox design but it screamed 'Princess of Gluttony' instead of 'Queen of Gluttony' so I made my own version of the queen! This Queen Bee is warm and caring, especially towards her daughter, she treats her like a treasure. I decided canon Bee's name is going to be Beetrix in my version of HB

Helluva beelzebub redesign again cuz my prev redesign kinda sucked thanks to the peeps who gave me criticism for this :)

This took me 5 HOURS to make after doing the sketch in pencil! But all in all im glad with the results. Also, anyone know how to upload an illustrator image without it getting dimmer or modified? This two are virtually the same image, I just saved one as PNG and the other as JPEG. I’m no expect so… I dunno…

I wanted to give redesigning beelzebub a go! Originally felt like scrapping the hound species but felt like i had to keep... a few things from the original design. I took some inspo from bee flies.
