Ginny had been visiting for a couple of days now, and Beck was finally getting the chance to show her some of his favorite spots in the city. They were currently at one of his favorite diners, and he had insisted on ordering for her, wanting her to get the full 6th Ave. experience. However, once the food arrived, he couldn’t help but reach out to snag a couple of the french fries for himself. Earning a quick smack on the hand by the girl across from him. “How am I supposed to try the food if you steal it all from me?” Beck lifted his hands in surrender, settling back in the seat as Ginny dug in.

Beck was still getting used to the fact that Ginny was there with him, that he could actually spend time with her in person. Could actually sit next to her and watch a movie, a bowl of popcorn to share balanced in between the two of them. Sure, they had watched plenty of movies together, but it was different being in the same room together. More distracting as well. The two were already as close as they could manage, but Ginny kept asking Beck to move closer, to lean into her more. “Gin, if I get any closer, I’ll be on top of you. But if you insist…” It was all the warning he gave before he let himself fall against her, toppling them and sending the popcorn flying.

i went to canada on a spring break trip one year in college and i did a little self-guided sightseeing tour of degrassi landmarks in toronto lol

fiona coyne will forever and always be my favorite. her arc in chasing pavements is what pushed me to come out to a lot of people in my life when i was younger! she’s v important to me! also a big big fan of holly j, imogen, marco, paige (duh), zoe, bianca, adam, and BECKKKYYYYYY. i love so many of them but off the top of my head, those are my babies.

otp of all degrassi otps is folly j (my very first ship in anything EVER). fimogen, beckdam, drianca (up until a certain point), palex, zoe/goldi (i Cannot remember their shipname), ziley, and beckogen also deserve rights. spemma will never make sense to me.

just curious: how do you feel about Imogen's character? I feel like there were a lot of inconsistencies with her, and her personality completely transformed too much from season to season

i feel like you took the words right out of my mouth, anon. her character WAS so inconsistent that it’s hard for me to tell whether i liked imogen overall or didn’t- all i can say is that i like some moments she had. i appreciate them trying to write a “weird” character, but at times she was so air-headed and wacky that it felt really unrealistic and jarring and like they were trying too hard to make her ~different. like who in real life acts like that? no one i’ve ever met. i will say that the episode in season 12 (?) about her dad still fucks me up to this day and i cannot believe they showed what they showed…………….. ://// that was the one time we got anything serious from imogen’s POV, and i thought they actually did a pretty good job with it, and christine’s acting in that episode proved she could handle heavy plots, so it was such a failure on the writers’ part to not give her any more!!

in terms of ships, i was really rooting for fimogen, but felt like what we actually got fell a little short. they were mostly in the background, and i felt like they were a little too cutesy, and we never got much serious stuff from them. jackogen was okay, but again, they were mostly just background, and i really hate that the writers love to give the gay characters boring, one-dimensional, undeveloped love interests instead of either having them date main cast members, or just adding said love interst to the main cast!! which is the main reason why i was rooting for fimogen to work out :// i was also hoping beckogen would happen, and i’m still bitter they teased it so many times and ended up coping out for a Power of Female Friendship plot like they LOVE to do when it comes to f/f ships.

i didn’t ship adam/imogen (i forget their ship name), but i did like that they started off without imogen misgendering adam, and him having to educate her into being a good person. and obviously, if you know anything about me whatsoever, you know i hate eli goldsworthy with a passion so i obviously do not ship elimogen (that was their ship name, right? hard to spell tbh).

tldr; i think imogen had potential to be an interesting, well-rounded character but the writers dropped the ball too many times and therefore i ended up feeling pretty neutral to her!

Badam (Bianca & Adam)-no I just didn't see them as a good match Beckdam (Becky & Adam)- they were okay but becky annoyed me, Adam deserved better Beckogen (Becky & Imogen)- they were good as friends Bhandallas (Alli & Dallas)- yes yes yes! I love this. It's about time alli got a guy that treats her right. Bhandarco (Alli & Johnny)- never liked them Bhandurner (Alli & Dave)- they were okay just boring Bhandsworthy (Alli & Eli)- weird Bonah (Becky & Jonah)- weird no chemistry Cake (Clare & Jake)- they were ok Camaya (Cam & Maya)- my babies. Beck looked up from where he was laying on the bed to where Ginny was digging through her movie collection. He had arrived in Ireland only a few hours ago, and a movie night with his favorite person was all he wanted at the moment. Jet lag was setting in enough that he was letting her pick the movie, though he arched an eyebrow at the case she was holding up. Beauty and the Beast, of course. “Gin, I may be tired but I’m pretty sure that’s your favorite movie,” he said with a grin. Even so, he settled back again and gestured for her to put the DVD in. “Go ahead, you know I’m happy to watch whatever as long as you come over here and let me cuddle you.”
