i feel like some people are still so weird about cats. i taught my cat "sit" recently and upon mentioning this to my one friend he said he didn't really believe cats learn tricks like dogs do (because they're independent-minded and don't have a drive to please their owners) and was like "she's only sitting because she knows she usually gets a treat from you if she does"
unlike dogs who... definitely don't normally learn tricks through positive reinforcement or like treats.... apparently...

Anaconda, Apple, and Bones: Channeling the Easter Bunny with her adorable ear set, she's a super sweet, chunky, lowrider dreaming of a family of her own! DARLING DESTINE יי Id 55076 2 Yrs.. Spayed and Wating for Cuddles & Hugs, Manhattan ACC TO BE KILLED - 2/26/2019 She’s so full of life. DESTINE is an adorable chunky lowrider with the biggest, brightest smile at the Manhattan Center. She simply adores people, and with those ears!!! It’s like she is channeling the Easter Bunny. We adore her rotund little body, her happy go lucky spirit and her never ending charm. Affectionate, cuddly, and oh so sweet, this wonderful youngster is waiting to light up someone’s life for the rest of hers. Don’t wait, hurry and foster or adopt her now. She’s spayed and ready to go! PM our page or email us at [email protected] for assistance. A volunteer writes: "Is that my new family I see?" No, wait Destine; I usually do this differently. Like this: Destine is seal brown, apple-headed, full figured gal in search of a food plan, and a new life. We met at Manhattan's ACC on a bright winter afternoon. I am a complete sucker for apple headed dogs, so not too much batting her eyes at me was needed to sell me on taking her out. "Are you sure?" Yes, Destine. Let me tell everyone how we passed our time. "Okay..." We went out into the pen, and Destine made a preliminary search of the perimeter but is quite happy to sit right there, velcroed to your legs (um, too hefty for the bench), and happily, on a chilly day, be a foot warmer, using my size nines as a couch. Watching the birds, volunteers and staff was just fine for her. Destine appreciated the "go slow" hang out, to sit, and think, and be. "Because, I think I see someone!" That's the idea, love.
