also re the clan spaniel post. it reminded me of a very brief moment in the beamsaber/battletech tabletop game i was in where the sommerset strikers cartoon was brought up, and the npc who brought it up was super like apologetic about mentioning it in front of my character (the one clan wolf guy who had decided he was a bondsman for one of the mercs he was now running around with).
and he was just like "that's clan jade falcon, they're just like that. i'm not affiliated with them". and everyone else lost it
