I wondered what would happen if Alan died, whether from losing to the Dark Presence or some other force before he make it out. Would the Dark Presence take his body and transform it similar to Barbara Jagger? I admit I really like Barbara's design, especially her funeral dress, and I'm curious to see Alan in a similar look🥴
“In Alan Wake 2, Rose writes a zombie post-apocalypse fanfiction featuring herself, Alan, and Scratch in a love-triangle. Despite writing a piece of fiction, it does not come to reality. It's possible that one needs a certain level of artistic talent to achieve actual changes in reality, or the Dark Presence chooses what comes to life or not.”
[Image description: Alan Wake fanart. The top half depicts Alan and Alice Wake dancing on Cauldron Lake. Alan stands behind Alice with his right arm wrapped around her back, and they hold hands by his head. Alice leans back with her eyes closed and her other arm holds onto his. A bright sky is behind them with green mountainous hills behind the blue lake. Their feet leave ripples on the lake surface. Mirrored on the lake's reflection is Thomas Zane and Barbara Jagger dancing in the same manner as Alan and Alice. Barbara holds her upper body more upright as she dances, and Thomas's diving suit glows from its face plates. The underside of the lake is a dark blue with wispy shadows which touch Barbara. [Image description: The first image is the same drawing as described before but with a more reddish-purple tone. The second image shows a close up of Alan and Alice from their arms up. The third image shows a close up of Barbara and Zane turned upright from their arms up. End description.]
So, if you don’t remember what This House of Dreams was, it was an ARG blog run by Remedy back in 2012. It was heavily discussed on the now-defunct Remedy forums (RIP), but luckily, the site is still up for people to check out.
The story follows Samantha, a young woman who purchased an old house in the town of Ordinary. You’ll remember that as Jesse and Dylan Faden’s hometown, whose entire population was swallowed by the slide projector in 2002.
The blog begins with Samantha finding a shoebox, which contains photos and poetry from Thomas Zane (click for alt text). Here are 18 pages of "Thomas Zane's" original poetry and two photos depicting Thomas Zane and Barbara Jagger:
