Party food - Grazing basket
I've been obsessed with the grazing and charcuterie baskets and boxes on Pinterest lately. So naturally I had to do something with it today when I'm having a small party :) I have two gluten free, and two dairy free, and one vegetarian option, and this was a great way to make something for everyone and make sure that everythings safe. The chocolate balls are vegan, the shark bites are made with a pancake batter made with gluten free flour, lots of eggs, vanilla sugar, fat and coconut cream. I made some without sausages for the vegaterians.
Also included are single serving tortilla de patatas, salami roses that I baked in mini muffin molds to make the shape stick, and to make them a bit snacksy. Rolls of bacon baked in the oven with a glaze of maple syrup. Gluten free or regular crackers. Gluten free baguettes, regular baguettes or brioche baguettes. Fruit and veg, manchego and cream cheese.

what your fav rite type of bread
I don’t really have a specific favorite, but I do like bread when it’s fluffy and sweet, so rolls are a good choice! Brioche probably ranks high too. And baguettes, but that’s mostly because of a discord server I’m in lol

Summertime here at the house is busy and seldom is there a quiet day. In an attempt to stay cool during these sweltering summer days, family and friends congregate at our house—and more especially, around our pool. I personally do not mind having a pool, but I really enjoy entertaining. There is nothing I love more than feeding the people I care about. Let us be honest though. That requires a lot of effort and time to accomplish on a nearly daily basis, so for me, summer entertainment is all about simple and quick. This Summer BBQ Hot Dog and Burger Charcuterie Board is ideal because of this. This amazing Summer BBQ Hot Dog and Burger Charcuterie Board is ideal for simple entertaining for the following reasons: not doing any cooking inside Almost everything is prepared well in advance. It is a complete meal on its own. Extra sides are not required. Visitors can eat whenever they would like. Casual dining is key during the summer. My children are always splashing to get to a table, sit, and eat. In any case, food seems to taste better by the pool! Do I have this right? It is all about the options when it comes to having the best Hot Dog and Burger Charcuterie Board! Of course, a simple grilled beef hot dog or a juicy burger served with the standard fixings are perfectly fine and delicious. And sometimes, on a sweltering summer day, all I want is those traditional flavor combinations. However, have you ever entered an ice cream shop or doughnut shop and felt excited seeing them all? THE TASTE. This inventive charcuterie board offers an incredible range of possibilities in terms of flavor, texture, and appearance! The WOW factor is the aim. Additionally, I know that some people become a little overwhelmed by the variety of options available, even though I naturally want all of my guests to feel free to express their creativity in creating their amazing hot dog and burger creations. For this reason, the list of suggested flavor combinations is quite specific. Ultimately, though, there are no guidelines. Not even the ingredients listed are set in stone. Take this as an opportunity to express your creativity. Ensure that most of the toppings can be prepared in advance, regardless of the selection you make. Toss them into different bowls and store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve! To ensure that your Summer BBQ Hot Dog and Burger Charcuterie Board is a huge success, follow this quick guide: Make use of your preferred beef burgers and hot dogs! Bacon never goes wrong! Never undervalue the influence of buns! Although sliced baguette, hoagie rolls, pretzel buns, naan, and even tortillas are tasty alternatives, potato buns are still my favorite! Fresh, pickled, crunchy, sweet, creamy, savory, and spicy toppings should all be available. You want to appeal to as many palates as you can! To make the board appear full, cook a large tray of fries and tots for easy sides. You can also use them to fill in the "gaps" between toppings.   Summer BBQ Hot Dog and Burger Charcuterie Board Author: Chris Cockren Total Time: 60 minutes Yield: Serves 8–12, 1x 8 Hamburgers 8 Beef Hot Dogs Variety of Buns (Potato Rolls, Multigrain Buns, Baguette, Brioche Buns, Mini Naan, etc.) ½ package french fries, cooked according to package directions ½ package sweet potato fries, cooked according to package directions ½ package tater tots, cooked according to package directions Toppings: 1 (16-ounce) package bacon, cooked sliced cheese (American, cheddar, Swiss, etc.) shredded cheddar cheese prepared macaroni and cheese thinly sliced cucumber pickled carrots fresh cilantro shredded cheddar cheese crispy fried onions finely diced pineapple sliced scallions sesame seeds prepared chili chopped kimchi hummus tomato-cucumber salad (Israeli salad) salsa guacamole teriyaki sauce bbq sauce spicy mayo feta thinly sliced red onion tzatziki sliced avocado   Instructions Season burgers with kosher salt.  Grill burgers and hot dogs over medium-high heat until cooked as desired.

Exploring the Wonderful World of Bread.
Introduction:
Bread, a timeless staple in cultures across the globe, comes in an array of forms, flavors, and textures. From crusty artisan loaves to soft, pillowy rolls, the world of bread is diverse and fascinating. In this blog post, we'll embark on a delightful journey through the types of bread that grace our tables and tantalize our taste buds.
Artisan Bread: *Characterized by its rustic appearance and hearty texture, artisan bread is a testament to the craftsmanship of bakers. Made with minimal ingredients – typically flour, water, salt, and yeast – artisan bread undergoes a slow fermentation process, resulting in a chewy interior and a crusty exterior. Popular varieties include baguettes, ciabatta, and sourdough.
Whole Grain Bread: *For those seeking a healthier option, whole grain bread is a nutritious choice. Made from flour that includes the entire grain, this bread is rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals. Varieties range from whole wheat to multigrain, offering a robust flavor profile and a hearty texture.
Brioche: *Indulgent and buttery, brioche is a French bread known for its rich, slightly sweet taste. Made with a generous amount of eggs and butter, brioche has a soft, tender crumb that makes it perfect for both sweet and savory applications. Enjoy it as toast for breakfast or as the base for a decadent sandwich.
Flatbreads: *Found in various cultures worldwide, flatbreads are a versatile category that includes staples like naan, pita, and tortillas. These breads are often unleavened and can be used to scoop up dips, wrap around fillings, or accompany a variety of dishes. Each culture puts its unique spin on the flatbread, resulting in a diverse range of flavors and textures.
Bagels: *Hailing from Jewish tradition, bagels are boiled before baking, giving them a chewy interior and a shiny, slightly crispy crust. Typically enjoyed with cream cheese or used as the base for sandwiches, bagels come in an array of flavors, including plain, sesame, poppy seed, and everything.
Rye Bread: *Known for its distinctive flavor and dense texture, rye bread is often made with a combination of rye and wheat flours. Popular in European cuisines, it can range from light and mild to dark and robust. Rye bread pairs exceptionally well with cured meats, cheeses, and pickles.
Conclusion: The world of bread is a testament to the diversity and creativity of culinary traditions. From the artisanal craftsmanship of sourdough to the comforting warmth of naan, each type of bread brings its unique personality to the table. So, the next time you break bread, take a moment to savor the rich tapestry of flavors, textures, and cultures that this humble staple represents. After all, there's a type of bread for every palate and every occasion.

Andersen Bakery, 31097 Courthouse Dr, Union City, CA 94587
Tumblr media
It’s been many years since I’ve been to an Andersen Bakery. It looks like they’re only in the Bay Area now. They’re Danish inspired and I seem to remember that they had some Asian baked goods like an pan/ red bean buns. They no longer have red bean buns but I did spot an ube brioche. The baked goods are made on the premises.
The bakery includes loaves of bread, cakes (whole & by the slice), eclairs, flan, crème brulee, tarts, Danish, croissants, brioche, muffins, etc. They have made to order sandwiches and salads (these seem popular), soups, and breakfast sandwiches. In the cold case they have bottled drinks and premade sandwiches. They also have Peet’s Coffee, espresso beverages, and tea.
Garlic cheese bread ($4.95): They’ll heat their cheese bread in the oven for you and slice it. It’s a large, poufy, and light bread/giant roll. The interior is smeared with garlic butter and covered in cheese. The heated bread had a light, airy, crispy quality. The cheese part wasn’t hot though. About ½ of the bottom had no garlic butter. I liked the lightness. It was bigger than it needed to be since there were quite a few plain pieces of bread without garlic butter.
Single latte ($3.95): Expected this to be terrible but it was decent. They have an espresso machine. No foam art. It was on the milky side but not bitter.
The space is quite large and popular. There’s free wi-fi, no outlets, and a restroom. They play loud music and the acoustics seem to make conversations even louder. There were also a few screaming kids. Prices are reasonable. A baguette is only $3.50. Online ordering available. Strip mall parking was plentiful.

Can a dog consume white bread? Bread should not be fed in huge quantities to dogs, and bread should not be the sole source of nutrition. A small slice of wholemeal bread, on the other hand, is acceptable and will not harm a dog. Many dogs prefer bread above any other reward. Bread is a pantry necessity. Before your meal, restaurants frequently give you a basket of rolls, cornbread, or sliced baguettes to eat. Bread is very simple to freeze and utilize for a variety of sandwiches. Bread causes allergic reactions in dogs You probably already know if your dog has a grain allergy because he won't eat regular dog food anyway. If you know exactly which sort of grain your dog is allergic to, that doesn't imply you should avoid giving him other types of bread. Bread is mostly made up of grain mixes. If your dog has a wheat allergy, for example, he may not be able to consume rye bread. The sales descriptor "rye bread" merely implies that the bread is primarily made of rye; it may also contain some wheat flour. The same is true with gluten: many dogs have gluten intolerance, and their owners are usually aware of it because their canines can't eat any ready-made grain-based food. Wheat pasta and other cereal items might cause digestive issues. Sourdough and yeast have a long fermentation time Freshly cooked bread containing sourdough or yeast as leavening agents might cause further fermentation processes in humans' and canines' digestive tracts. This is especially true for very fresh sourdough wholemeal bread. Even persons with sensitive digestive organs have a hard time with traditional brown bread. If gas is formed, the dog will have farts at the very least. Warnings that gas production can cause gastritis should not be taken lightly. Gassing is usually often accompanied by stomach distention. However, bread has yet to be identified as a common cause. For dogs, old, dry bread is less difficult A loaf of bread that is older and drier is more digestible for dogs. can dog eat white bread: Giving your dog dry white bread in small bits is perfectly OK. If you're giving your dog old bread, make sure it's completely dry. His teeth are up to the task. Mold can appear on old, squishy bread. This is clearly harmful to the dog. The ability of a dog to tolerate bread varies substantially from instance to case. Because most dogs do not eat grains, they do not profit from bread. The enzymes required to digest huge amounts of grain are not produced in sufficient quantities in dogs' pancreases. However, there are outliers, such as an Italian shepherd dog breed whose representatives were fed nothing but stale bread and a little sheep's milk whey for years. In the arid wastes of the sheep pastures, the shepherds whose flocks the Maremman defend often had nothing else. To survive, the dogs had to adapt to this diet. In the same way, our domestic dogs have evolved. Dogs have evolved the ability to digest a certain quantity of grain with the introduction of an industrial ready-made grain-based diet. This does not, however, imply that they will suffer if they are not fed grain. What about dog-friendly bread rolls and crispbread? The fresher and darker the bread rolls are, the less a dog should consume. Crispbread is in a different scenario. This is so dry that it's quite improbable that it still contains living organisms that could produce gases in the digestive tract. As a result, dogs are allowed to eat crispbread. Milk buns, yeast plaits, and brioche: how bearable are they? If your dog enjoys bread, he will likely enjoy sweetbreads even more. They are, however, less nutritious. On the one hand, this is owing to the high sugar level, and on the other, the yeast content of the fluffy cake bread in particular. Even though sweet bread is old and dry, it still has a lot of fat and, in certain cases, sultanas. The poisonous dried grapes are extremely harmful to dogs. Is there bread in dog food? Bread
has yet to establish itself as a ready-to-eat ingredient, and it is unlikely to do so in the near future. However, baked cereals are used in a variety of snacks. If you want to treat your pet to a bread snack every now and again, try Schecker's reindeer pieces with rye. Bread is not a common dog food Despite the fact that many people believe bread is a staple food for humans, it is not at all true for dogs. If a dog enjoys bread, it can be a treat, but it is not good for his diet. If it is not freshly baked bread, there is nothing wrong with a nibble now and then. On the other hand, fresh bread or rolls should be closely monitored. Your four-legged buddy can get a stomachache from self-service. Can bread be harmful to dogs? So, just because dogs can eat bread, does it mean it's beneficial for them? Dogs, like humans, do not benefit from bread. It's high in carbohydrates, and too much of it can make your dog fat. Furthermore, because the yeast in bread multiplies, it can enlarge your dog's stomach. A few bites are harmless, but if your dog has consumed a whole loaf of bread, you should be concerned. A dog's stomach and intestines might be torn up if they eat too much. Yeast dough is also dangerous because it ferments and creates alcohol, which can induce alcohol poisoning. Is wheat bread safe for dogs? Wheat allergy is a possibility in some dogs. Before providing your dog with wheat bread, we recommend that you conduct an allergy test at home to ensure that your dog is allergy-free. Small amounts are fine if not. Can Dogs Eat Anything Else? While most nuts are off-limits for dogs, a variety of fruits and vegetables are safe bets and wonderful providers of vitamins and nourishment. Do you know which ones are safe and which ones are toxic? Make sure you know which foods and beverages are acceptable for dogs to consume, as well as what to do if your dog develops an upset stomach.
