just some scribbles. the first one some concept stuff of my rain world ocs!! the iterator is distant glint of lantern light (or glint for short), the scrapper, and her little pup, the hideaway! (i may or may not change that.) this is subject to change, but essentially the story for them goes like, hideaway accidentally gets kidnapped by glint, and scrapper goes into his superstructure to try to find her. glint just kinda goes "oh kitty cat :D" completely oblivious to hideaway's existence and plays around with scrapper. hideaway is scrapper's last kid out of like a litter of, idk, five, so scrapper is pretty desperate to find her

hideaway gets her name because glint has all these pet lizards that are actually pretty friendly to each other, but will absolutely chomp hideaway down given the chance, so she has to be quiet and sneaky to survive as she tries to find a way out back to scrapper.

the second drawing is just me messing around with a new brush, which i also used for the rain world stuff

the second image is a sketch page featuring inkwell and snag the vessels, quill the young stag beetle, rock the moth caterpillar, aurthias the centipede, and silverwyrm the wyrm-turned-bug, who has a pair of very long horns, a pair of smaller ones, scythes for claws, and a ridged tail with a centipede-like tail tip. there are sketches of inkwell simply standing, and pointing toward the viewer with the text, "pointing at you." one is of quill dropping down, looking alarmed, with inkwell on his back and rock just barely holding onto inkwell's cloak, squinting. there's a headshot sketch of aurthias, looking mildly concerned, with snag on top of his head. two sketches of silverwyrm show her standing, looking off to the side, wearing a sweater with patterns of leaves on it; another is a halfbody of her looking down happily at her sweater, a different one with a pumpkin on it. the last sketch is a halfbody of aurthias, holding up a blank sweater in his claws, saying, "i made you a sweater :)" the background is gray, and everybody is colored in a lighter shade. end id]

for aurthias I don't rlly have anything good in mind as an alternative to centipede. I was just thinking of making him into an owlbear because those are cool

silverwyrm will probably be a lindwyrm. not sure about velita yet. hrmm. or aza or vermel.

hiii these r my beloveds: aurthias, silverwyrm and snag <33 aurthias is a sad grumpy grunkle centipede who found new meaning in life when he found silverwyrm (who'd been like half-dead) and brought her home and they quickly became like father and daughter!!! silver is very kind and empathetic and just wants to help however she can <3333 snag just kinda showed up at their doorstep one day and went "i live here now" and aurthias + silver were just like "aight welcome u live here now"

the third is of orlen and olivian. they're both anthro jerboa. orlen is an older jerboa wearing a cowboy hat and a traveling backpack, and olivian, his daughter, is a young jerboa wearing a big flower on the back of her head. orlen is holding a map and looks stressed and lost. olivian is hitching a ride on his backpack and peering over his shoulder. she's pointing at something on the map, and she doesn't seem stressed or lost at all.

the last sketch is of silver. she has a wing-arm lifted up, where a snowy owl is perched, and she's smiling brightly at it. an arctic fox and a polar bear also sit by her, looking at her. the three animals are all calm and peaceful.

the second image is a colorless sketch of aurthias and silver. aurthias is laying down, his front paws folded up on some pillows, reading a book. silver is curled up around him, perched on his back, reading the book as well, curious. end id]

reference sheet for aurthias. he's an owl-wolf centaur and he wears turtlenecks and likes hot chocolate! he's a scholar and a taxidermist, and he owns this big ol estate which used to be a thriving cocoa production thing but it's a ghost town now. he used to live with his two sisters and his niblings, but they've been missing for a long time </3

been wanting to make a second design for my hollow knight ocs, so i got started on concepts for that. im pretty happy with inkwell but im still pretty uncertain with rock and quill - rock whether or not i want her to be a cow or hyena, and quill his colors.

rock also has two drawings of her. the first is of her as an anthropomorphic cow. she's cream-colored with brown at the end of her limbs, elbows, cheeks, the top of her head, ears, and tail. there are black speckles on the top of her head and on her tail. she has big red eyes. she's wearing a light blue shirt with a yellow pinafore, which has a green heart on the pocket. she's standing with her right arm up as though waving. the second drawing is the same, except it's her as a hyena. her name is written above her, including her real name albalyn, and "cow?" and "hyena?" are written above each relevant drawing.

quill is a fluffy drake with ram-like horns, and two pairs of much smaller horns below. he has a big ridged nose-horn. he has a single large spike on his back between his shoulders, a trio of smaller ones at the base of his tail, and another trio of small ones at the end of his tail. his eyebrows are fluffy. he is dark blue, with a darker tail, limbs, and head. his face, throat, and front paws are white, and there are also large white dapples on his tail-tip. he is standing idly, facing the left. his eyes are gray. text above his head reads, "fluffy brows".

at the top of the canvas is a note that reads, "heights aren't to scale". end id]

littlest guy

hm. im kinda worried about doing ids for my ocs. on one hand, its helpful to describe them for people who havent seen them before; on the other, if you've seen them a lot it'd get kinda obnoxious. i can just try to be as simple as possible, especially for like, fandom ocs. like, just "inkwell the vessel" or "aurthias the centipede," and just omit the colors and stuff unless its important to what they're doing. though for characters like silverwyrm, who's a wyrm-turned-bug, it'd be kinda harder to sum her up in just one or two words because she's more unique.

character concept for aurthias (pronounced are-thy-is), his design + background are subject to change. silver and snag are there for size reference but also cause theyre friends with him

aurthias is an old old lonely centipede who lives in this big decrepit mansion all by himself, which has a (big decrepit) library. he spends his time studying and making taxidermies of different bugs. he used to live with his sister and his nieces and nephews but they’re all gone now

he met silverwyrm when he mistook her for a corpse and took her back to his mansion to stuff her. luckily he realized in time she actually WASNT dead, and decided to let her stay, since she has literally nowhere else to go. he has a hard time getting around and doing stuff, so silver helps him out, and in turn he teaches her about a lot of stuff, like history and bug biology n junk

inkwell, quill, and rock have met aurthias before and they sometimes visit, but they never stay for long since they’re wanderers.

snag eventually shows up too, searching for inkwell, and also ends up living there. aurthias is slowly becoming everyone’s grunkle
