Character Spotlight: Selystian
Of all of the Ashborne, Selystian, or Selys, also known as the changeling, is the most enigmatic. They are capable, as a shapeshifter, of changing into anything and anyone, and were freed during one of Lady Ashborne's raids into the Twisting Nether, when she took down the palace of a minor demonic despot.
Glad to be released from their former captivity as a concubine, Selys has proven to be multi-talented; they are a seer and a prophet, and are capable of wielding great magic. As such, they have proven invaluable in suggesting strategies of government and warfare, and are the main reason that Lady Ashborne remains several steps ahead of her enemies.
Sworn to Lady Ashborne for life, Selys holds a position of chief consort to her, looking after all her needs: physical, emotional, and serving her in whatever capacity they can. They mainly dwell in the Nether Fortress, Lady Ashborne's refuge, using a special scrying-orb to divine things of past, present and future. Currently, Selys is instructing both Jian'tai and Raine how to protect themselves from the insidious effects of their pasts; Raine because of his dreams, Jian'tai because of his Atal'ai heritage, and subsequent connection to the Blood-God Hakkar.
Selys often takes the physical form of a male, fair of face and with long, wheat-gold hair. They are tall and lean, and favor shoulder-baring robes made of the loveliest and rarest of fabrics. They have, in fact, turned to collecting all sorts of fabrics and are often sent new stuffs as a gift from their Lady.

I found a very old full-body piece of Eustace from 2017, this week. And realized I have not yet painted a full-body image of him with the updated design yet. And there we go, some wips.

But What About the Blood Trolls?
...Yeah, what about them? Where do they fall in lore? Do they still exist? And what about the other tribe that worships the same entity... The one we don’t really talk about, anymore? We’re gonna talk about it. See, the blood trolls are an interesting breed. They fall undoubtedly within the realm of chaotic evil, serving loa and gods with the intent to corrupt the world and its inhabitants. Under Princess Talanji’s authority, it’s assumed that Nazmir will eventually be purged, or at least their numbers will be culled to such an extent that another march onto the Golden City wouldn’t be possible without some sort of twisted, divine intervention. But even though the blood trolls of Nazmir worshiped G’huun, championing the tainted and now fallen blood god... G’huun isn’t the only one who carries that title. To be honest, he’s pretty small fry compared to the big blood poppa. Hakkar the Soulflayer is responsible for the initial creation of the blood trolls. No one knows the origins of this god (though he has been canonically accepted as a loa), and there are no records of his presence on Azeroth before a troll tried to summon him to Zandalar. This was an ancient event, one that predates the Dark Portal by hundreds if not thousands of years. What followed was the great plague-- An incurable blood sickness that killed an absurd number of trolls. It’s what prompted the golems to be constructed for fear of more becoming infected, and it is also an event that prompted the infamous “Path of Blood”... Hence, the birth of the blood trolls. You’re probably familiar with Hakkar in Gurubashi history. A once great civilization turning to the utmost dire measures to preserve their empire. Most trolls were alive during the Cataclysm, when the world shook to ruins. But the Sundering, when the world split, was a death sentence for the majesty of the troll empires. It was a slow death, riddled with hunger and desperation, and eventually the Gurubashi turned to their last resort. The empire grew, so much so as to prompt a reaction and many, many questions from the Zandalari. However, the price of their prosperity came in the form of blood sacrifices. Each day that passed, more and more were demanded. ...Basically the trolls were killing their people to save their people... You can see the problem here, right? I don’t need to explain why this caused such extreme civil unrest that the tribes once united under Zul’Gurub would eventually split up into independent, xenophobic tribes... Just put two and two together, you got it. What’s interesting, here, is that during his time in Zul’Gurub, Hakkar was behind the creation of another tribe-- Not through blood, but through zealotry. These sacrifices didn’t just happen blindly, or for no reason. They happened under the influence and prominence of the Hakkari. These were the priests of Hakkar, his lieutenants... And even they would turn on the insatiable god. All would, except for the Atal’ai. If that name sounds familiar, but you can’t place it... Remember the Sunken Temple dungeon? The one in the Swamp of Sorrows that got blasted by Ysera? Remember all of those green dragons, and dragonkin? The reason those temples were full of them is because they were used as ritualistic sacrifices. They went through torturous treatment by the Atal’ai for, quite literally, blood for the blood god. Putting them down wasn’t extermination... It was euthanization. That’s how deep the corruption spread. It should be noted here that the Atal’ai are universally despised by the entirety of the troll empire, much like the Nazmani blood trolls. The tribes of Stranglethorn are often described as hating the Darkspear with a burning passion. That hatred exists exponentially higher for the members of the Atal’ai. They are considered to be less than dirt... Because even dirt can produce something worthwhile. So at this point, you’re probably thinking something along the lines of... “This is all a very interesting story and a cool lesson on lore, but what about those blood trolls?” Well, the thing is... Hakkar keeps coming back. No one really knows where he originally comes from, but his presence in Azeroth has made an impression on four separate occasions. Someone, somewhere, for some reason ultimately and inevitably seems drawn to him... And apparently, he’s coming back for Shadowlands and he’s bringing some Atal’ai Devoted with him. Those that would worship the blood god, Atal’ai and Nazmani blood trolls alike, still absolutely have a presence in troll roleplay. Now, their place is wrapped in centuries of disdain and hatred by the other tribes... And for reasonable cause. If you roleplay as a blood troll/Atal’ai and receive these reactions, hopefully this will give you a little bit of an idea of why that is. These tribes are the product of corruption that took countless lives, caused unspeakable tragedies, and brought thriving empires to ruination. (I shouldn’t have to make this part of the essay clear, but I’ll say it anyway. Out of character, and as a person behind the computer, no one has any right to treat you poorly based on what you play. Just as in character actions do not necessarily reflect someone’s out of character opinion of you as a player. The purpose of this article is to provide an opinion about certain aspects of the story, as well as inform role players about the history and potential presence of these trolls... Not to condone the mistreatment of players behind them. Be nice. We’re all nerds looking to have a good time in our own way.) Article: Opinion Piece, Author: Vorzhal , Realm: WyrmrestAccord

Zandalari Troll: A Character Guide

History
Evolution (Year -16,000): Zandalari trolls are the pioneer troll race in which all other troll races descend from. These are the ice trolls (for example the Drakkari tribe), forest trolls (the Amani tribe), dark trolls (Shadowtooth clan) and jungle trolls (Darkspear tribe). From dark trolls came night elves due to their exposure to the Well of Eternity, in turn producing high elves, blood elves and the Nightborne in their own elven evolution. Sand trolls are a splinter group of jungle trolls that got separated after the Sundering. The earliest of their people gathered around the mountains of their native land and established Zuldazar, a great city to be ruled by their first king and founder Dazar. A while after, aqir of the empire of Azj'Aqir began to grow and take over troll lands and to combat the threat, the Zandalari trolls used their power to enlist the Gurubashi, Amani, and Drakkari tribes into the ranks, creating the Empire of Zul. While successful in their battles, a lack of an enemy in the aqir led to the empire eventually dissolving as troll tribes began fighting among themselves.
Mogu Are A Troll’s Best Friend (Between Year -15,000 and Year-12,000):  Zulathra, a high priest of the Zandalari, proposed to the mogu Emperor Lei Shen a deal to share each other’s secrets and build an unstoppable empire.
Short Lived By Immortal Standards (~Year -12,000): Lei Shen wanted to control the Forge of Origination in Uldum, however the tol’vir were appalled to discover his betrayal of Highkeeper Ra and refused. He and his allied troll armies marched upon Uldum, however the tol’vir used the forge against them, purging the area. Both Lei Shen and Zulathra perished, severely damaging the empire.
What A  Pandamonium (Year -12,800): Kang incites a slave revolt to free his fellow captive pandaren people, liberating them from mogu rule and creating the Pandaren Empire.
Paws Off Our Land (Year -11,900): Still aware that plots of land had been promised to them by the late Lei Shen, the Zandalari attack the Pandaren Empire in an effort to claim them. The invasion is repelled thanks to Jiang and new Order of the Cloud Serpent, giving them an aerial advantage.
That’s What I Call A Splitting Headache (Year -10,000): The night elves, whom of which have since evolved from their dark troll cousins 5,000 years prior, are forced to blow up the Well of Eternity, splitting the once-whole continent into four separate ones. The Zandalari were able to use their magics to keep their lands mostly intact. They began exploring the sea and becoming accustomed to island life. They discovered Kezan and the goblin race. For centuries, they kept their distance but after discovering that Kezan held an abundance of a mineral kaja'mite, they enslaved the goblins to dig it for them.
Trolling Wars (Year -2,800): The Zandalari traveled to the Eastern Kingdoms to help the forest trolls of Zul'Aman against the high elves of Quel'Thalas. However, the elves would find allies in the newly formed Kingdom of Arathor and defeat the troll threat.
Gurubashin’ Each Other (Year -1,500): The Gurubashi Civil War is fought between the Atal'ai Hakkari, followers of the loa Hakkar, and the rest of the Gurubashi. These Atal’ai felt driven to desperate ends and wanted to have the power that he could grant. However, with the aid of the Zandalari, they managed to drive them out of Stranglethorn Vale, with a few managing to secretly build the Temple of Atal'Hakkar within the Swamp of Sorrows.
Dig Ya Own Ore (Year -100): Given a heightened intelligence by the ore around them, the goblins manage to escape their slavery by the Zandalari.
Hakkar Go Backar (Year 25): After a good quiet century or so, the Zandalari were shocked to hear about the attempted resurrection of Hakkar, later relieved to hear of his defeat. However, they knew some of his priests survived and would continue to try to bring him back, so they travelled to Yojamba Isle to put an end to them. They recruited adveturers to aid them in their task, and sent word through the  Darkspear  that the Horde must act quickly when they found out Jin'do the Hexxer was going to attempt the ritual once again. His still burning kernel of Hakkar's power was brough to Molthor in the hope that he could destroy it, and he did so indeed.
It’s Not Exactly Island Weather (Year 27): Once both factions ventured into Northrend, the Zandalari also send some of their own to investigate what became of the Drakkari in Zul'Drak, establishing bases in Zim'Torga and Dubra'Jin. Zul, a prophet of the Zanchuli Council, was among those who travelled there. The discovered that the Drakkari were sacrificing their own loa in exchange for more power. They opposed their actions, but did not help them against the Scourge. They then returned home to Zandalar.
I Told You So (Year 28): Zul had previously told God King Rastakhan a vision of a Cataclysm, but he refused to listen. However, it came to pass: Nazmir beginning to sink and two parts of their major city Zuldazar falling to the sea. After the Cataclysm, Zandalari trolls gathered together Azeroth’s troll tribes to try and unify them to reestablish their former empire. Despite gaining the help of the Daakara, Amani, Jin'do and Gurubashi, the Darkspear refused to join, stating that the Horde was where they belonged. They return and joined the Amani on a plan to retake Stranglethorn Vale. They arrive opposed by Vol'jin and his Darkspear followers. Vol’jin warns Alliance and Horde, and with the help of Halduron Brightwing and Vereesa Windrunner, was able make a  battle plan and personally lead a strike force into Zul'Aman and end Daakara and the Zandalari's efforts.
What We Are Owed (Year 30): After Pandaria is rediscovered, the Zandalari set their sites on the lands they believe they are owed settling into parts of the Kun-Lai Summit. The forces of Zandalari in Pandaria are led by Prophet Khar'zul, who in turn receives his orders from Zul. They try to reanimate mogu within the Valley of the Emperors using dark magic in order to create an army to take over Pandaria. They even manage to recover Lei Shen’s body and move it to the Isle of Reckoning. They also assault Zouchin Village and Gara'jal the Spiritbinder gains entry to Mogu'shan Vaults, looking for secrets of the arcane. The Zandalari and their allies manage to revive Lei Shen and join him at the Throne of Thunder, who is eventually twarted. After, they attempt to enlist the Frostmane tribe of Dun Morogh in an attack against Ironforge, but they are defeated by Moira Bronzebeard and Varian Wrynn.
A Horde-Like Empire (Year 33): The Horde frees Princess Talanji and the Prophet Zul from the Stormwind Stockades. They had been sailing to meet with the Horde as Talanji believed that the Zanchuli Council was not doing its duty when the Alliance intercepted and captured them. Horde heroes were sent back across the Zandalar to aid with their zones’ conflicts.
Physical traits
Life expectancy: Trolls don’t have any seeming rites of passage to mark when they consider themselves to be at different stages of life. However, Rastakhan has ruled over the Zandalari Empire for over 200 years, so trolls may well be able to live around this long. On the other hand, Lei Shen had to magically extend the life of Zulathra to live up to 3,000 years, suggesting that they do not possess the natural physiology to naturally reach this age.
Height: Female trolls can grow to be around 7 foot tall, with males being 8 foot when not hunched over.
Eye colour: Zandalari trolls can possess coloured eyes such as blue or yellow.
Cosmetics: Their skin can range from greys, blues, greens and black, and some have stone-like patches around their body. Many may also have golden tattoos around their body. They, like all trolls, have tusks.
Personality traits
We Were Kings: Zandalari trolls consider themselves to be the superior race of trolls, having been the originator of all others. Their beauty has been inherited by their decedents, such as the night elves, leaving some humans to call them “the elves of trolls”, much to the offence of the Zandalari.
Quick Learners: The Zandalari are known to be able to pick up abilities and master them with efficiency without too much trouble. Their magics have been the backbone of their 15,000 year success documented due to their scholarly nature.
Other races: As mentioned before, the Zandalari are considered royalty among their other tribe counterparts. This can either usher a great amount of respect or bitterness. Goblins may still hold a deep grudge for their ancestors’ suffering at the hands of their Zandalari slavers. Night elves and trolls will admit their shared ancestry with much reluctance and the relation won’t prevent any hostility. Preserved night elf heads are a prized decoration in Zandalari homes and even given as a children’s toy.
Other creatures: Similar to their Darkspear counterparts, the Zandalari have a love of raptors. However their racial mount is the Zandalari Direhorn and have a certain natural affinity with beast taming creatures such as devilsaurs, direhorns and skyscreamers.
Culture
Languages: Their language is the primary language of all trolls, Zandali. When races join Horde, they tend to learn Orcish, but it’s unknown whether they will learn that or if due to Sylvanas Windrunner’s Warchief status will incline them to take on Thalassian instead.
Government: Zandalari trolls have a monarchy starting well before the Aqir Wars but there was a time when they couldn’t have a single emperor. The Council of Tribes was a governing force, possibly before Dazar or in between other rulers. These leaders included Aka'ali the Conqueror, Kula the Butcher and Zanazal the Wise. There is a gap in recorded reign time for leaders after Dazar, but the following have been confirmed to have led at some point: King Timalji and his wife Queen Wasi, King Rahu'ai, Queen Patlaa and King A'akul. At some stage, King Tezlekhan ruled, whom of which must have been followed by an heir to eventually pass down the crown to his great-grandson and current king Rastakhan. Talanji is his daughter and operates as a secondary leader. Rastakhan had the Zanchuli Council to advise him. Formerly led by Zul, their current secondary leaders are Loti, priestess of the loa Gonk, and her husband Ruul, Hexlord of the loa Pa’ku. Former members include Yazma, priestess of Shadra, Vol’kaal and General Jakra’zet.
Military: The Zandalari have their own army with two main subgroups. Shera Ali'kh are a group of assassins who have served for thousands of years. The only know member of this group is Falthir the Sightless. Their naval force is known as the Golden Fleet, led under the king himself and Pa’ku. Members are: Captain Grez’ko, Bo’ztun Maset, Wavemaster Lanfa, Windcaller Ula’jan, Dockmaster Cobo and Captain Rezo’kun. Captain Zulkran is currently captured by the Alliance and both Advisor Ko’jan and Quartermaster Garza are deceased. The Zandalari Beast Ward is a force that breeds, supplies and empowers beasts for the army, led by War-God Jalak upon the Isle of Thunder. Members included War-God Dokah, Ku’lai the Skylord, Dohaman the Beast Lord, Beastcaller Aht’lutal and Beastmaster Horaki. A more recent addition is Talanji’s expeditation that aims to combat the blood troll condlict in Nazmir, its forces including: Provisioner Lija, Chronicler Jabari, Chukay, Crazy Vaza, Cuja, Guard Satao, Jo'chunga, Kal'dran, Rovash the One Eyed and Zabar.
Religion: Like all trolls, the Zandalari honour the loa. The particular loa that each tribe honours varies but these are the loa honoured by the Zandalari: Akil'zon the eagle loa, Akunda the loa of storms, Bethekk the panther loa, Bwonsamdi the loa of the dead, Elortha no Shadra the spider loa, Gonk the raptor loa, Gral the shark loa, Halazzi the lynx loa, Har'koa the snow leopard loa, Hir'eek the bat loa, Jani the saurid loa, Jan'alai the Dragonhawk loa, Krag'wa the frog loa, Nalorakk the bear loa, Pa'ku the pterrordax loa,  Rezan the devilsaur loa, Tharon'ja the wind serpent loa, Torcali the  direhorn loa and Torga the tutle loa. There are two tiger loas (Eraka no Kimbul and  Shirvallah) and two snake loas (Hethiss and Sethraliss) that they honour. Trolls also believe that those who ascend to a certain amount of power may also become loas once they die, for example Dambala, Grimath, Lukou, Shango and Zanza.
Traditions
Membership into the Zandalari tribe is completely hereditary: you cannot marry or migrate into tribe status. One rare example is Jakra’zet, a sand troll by birth, who managed to attain membership after heavily aiding the campaign in Pandaria, providing outstanding skill in strategy and tactics.
Historically, the Zandalari rely on a strict caste system. Casteless orphan children are tested for any connection to the loa and any that show promise are gifted with full priest training along with honour and privilege. Those that are not are allowed the chance to prove themselves worthy in battle in adulthood.
Blood magic is forbidden within the tribe.

Memory of the Found P.2
“Shera Ali’kh - Cut the Hands - End the Cycle.”
Tumblr media
Fek’zarn, Nar’zuul, Rhoku, Taz’ju, and Zin’Vik set off in the early morning, their night plagued by a light casted out by the lighthouse which was within a short walking distance from the Outpost on the hill. (Plus a guest newcomer RPer who wanted to see how to troleplay! (please don’t kill me)) Finding themselves seeking to move upon what they have learned the day before, they’d begin to make their way towards the Temple of the Five Pillars, found on the southern end of the island.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Once they arrived, they’d immediately begin to investigate the pillars, looking for names and anything that could hold reason as to why the Atal’ai tell them to “have faith” in the pillars. They’d search, and results would be found time and time again - They had no patience or time to waste now. The Pillars followed: Pillar of the Lost, Pillar of the Found, Pillar of the Loved, Pillar of the Remembered, and Pillar of the Dead.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
As they'd all linger and discuss, they'd find themselves being witness to something strange - New to them, the fact all of them were here, attempting to dissect the meanings behind the pillars... Between all four pillars, within their window-like arches, they would see a glimmer of the sun of dawn striking what seems to be thin, finely woven threads of silk. Was it a trick of the mind, or was it something else? They'd see it for a few moments if they truly paid attention to it, but after that, it would no longer be seen. The sigils and symbolic markings of the Loa of Shapes, the Lynx of the North, Frog of the Marsh, and the Thunderlizard of New Beginnings were all seen from left to right. It would be a glaring visual. Light and shadow, casted against the pillars, always meeting in the middle of the temple. Within it, beneath the stains of the markings left behind from their recent ritual, was a deeply encarved mural, that only seemed to be seen at a certain time of day, under certain conditions. It was a heart being held within a thin three-fingered hand, around it were eyes surrounding the prior organ with empty pupils. All around them, they'd almost sense the air being lifted out of their lungs, and they'd be stricken with the inability to speak. It felt as if they were being siphoned of all life, and shadows would seep in from the horizon as the sun began to draw far below the edge of the land. Violent flashes, like thunder striking in quick succession, of a sight around them - The temple rebuilt, made again in a new image, but then it would be shattered. Broken into pieces. After, nature would retake it, and they'd see it, a flash of light across the land, then it would meet them. Suddenly, it would cease, and they'd see only white. Finding themselves within the depths of Tal'akaai, the screams of every possibly voice that is capable of being heard, all beings were: here. From Ogres to Trolls. All people... And the light would retract, filling in with shadow. In front of their darkened vision was a pair of glowing yellow eyes, but behind it was a legion of dark shadowy pairs staring at them. A large grin came forward, breaking the darkness, and they'd see one thing - A glowing star, a world, and two moons around the previous world. The world was coveted by a shadowy hand, but then the vision would end. Ahead of them was the darkness of night, and the eery silence of time.
However, it was not quite done - The darkness around them would begin to be filled in by a deeper seat of shadow. From this, echelons of ethereal hands would creep out towards them, but they'd go past them, heading into the center of the Temple, where the circle of it all was. A plume of shadow began to grow, and grow... It would be seen becoming taller until it would tower above them all. It almost billowed and breathed in its own right, then it would say one sentence. "Good to see you again..." It would say in a distorted way that would barely be recognizable as a voice. Those who stood here were stunned, shocked, and all matter of confused. Some amongst them recovered faster than others, but all felt and saw the same vision.
Tumblr media
Nar’zuul pops a squat and takes a moment to recover and come back from being scared beyond his wits. "T-talk about being discouraged from ever wanting to venture out alone on this Island..." He’d murmur. Taz’Ju had finished the drawing just in time to see hands creeping past him. He watched without moving as they coalesced into whatever the fuck that is. Taz folded the parchment and placed it back into his bag as he slowly stood up. "Don't recognize ya face, sorry." Clearly Taz was uncomfortable. Rhoku growls as the shadows start to gather. He drops down into his cat form, teeth bared and claws extended, though he's given a bit of pause when the shadow being speaks. Still, he stands clearly ready to pounce, waiting silently for whatever happens next. Nar’zuul took a step back from watching creepy hands go slithering across the ground only to pool together and form a huge talking plumb that he feared if angered would try to eat them. "... Again?" he pondered. He knew this community was fresh and new so this couldn't be the second time this -thing- had dealings with this group. Unless he referred to the Trolls? "You think he means us as in Trolls?... Didn't one of you mention that possible Trolls lived here before?" He’d ask. Taz’Ju flicked his ears a few time, not sure how to respond. He'd glance at the others curiously to see what they might think of what the entity said. He flicked his ears a few time, not sure how to respond. He'd glance at the others curiously to see what they might think of what the entity said. Zinvik stood there and almost didn't believe this was real. He didn't trust any of this, nor did he believe the vision was truly over. Were they all here beside him...? Rhoku seems to relax -very- slightly, lifting his head and perking his ears forward slightly. "...Are you talking about the... uh... light-shadow guys and the fog spirit... things?" He’d ask towards the shadow being which spoke.
The shadow being looked to Rhoku, and it almost felt as if its eyeless face was glaring right at him. Burning a hole into his very spirit. Still, it would give an apparent nod. "The Atal'ai are fanatics driven by a self-driven sacrifice, and the Shera Ali'kh are a Cult who defined an era by turning away the Loa of Death, and the Father of Sleep. They were once two societies who lived in their own enclaves, but in time, divisions came - And this land was subjected to being struck in half. Only when you allowed the presence, or weakened the bonds the Shera Ali'kh held, you allowed those seeking to end it to return." It would say. "No, we want to end both the Atal'ai and the Shera Ali'kh. The two should not exist without the other, and neither should exist at all." It would say openly. Cordae would not be capable of appearing near Taz. The shadow being would extend out its left hand. Grabbing the crystal, and it would be physical. "Peculiar..." It would say lowly, then bring it within itself. "And what of you three?" It would say, pointing at Xen'aji, Nar'zuul, and Zin'Vik. "Tell me - did the Atal'ai speak to you as well?" It would ask.
Taz’Ju shifted uncomfortably as Cordae never appeared on his shoulder. "What do you make of this then?" Taz procured the darkened crystal from his pouch and offered it towards the being. "The Atal'ai gave it to me golden, but it turned when given to me." He held it out towards them.
The being then looked back to Taz'Ju, keeping the crystal for a few more moments. "They expect you to submit to them in order to get rid of the Shera Ali'kh, so they can do as they please. That is how the cycle begins again, neither of them care for any living, but they care for their devotion and hand. It is the faith in the Loa, and the ones around you which matters. This crystal will prove detrimental, but it is possible you can use it against them." It would say, then extending a ethereal hand towards Taz which held the crystal. And as far as Xen'aji could tell, it was not from here, but rather something that is visiting. An evil spirit, maybe, but definitely a powerful one. After this, it would look to the others, and give a canted nod of its head. "I am known as Zuljaraal, Keeper for the Pillar of the Lost." It would say, then wait almost politely.
Xen'aji would hold his tongue, staring daggers into the being, though he would bow his head slightly at the title. "So you are the guardian of this title. We seek your help." The Venomblade would state.
Zuljaraal looked down at them, but then it would tilt its head a bit. "Curious... Come forward, Lost One." He would say, pointing down at Nar'zuul. Beckoning him forward with a finger. "What is your name?" It would ask, standing up straight, and holding the top of the staff in both hands.
The Hexxer swallowed hard before speaking softly to the strange being. "I am Nar'zuul..." he stated bluntly while clasping his hands together and fidgeting a bit in the presence of Zuljaraal.
It would crouch down, looking to Nar'zuul, and it would extend out a hand for him to shake. "I can help you. Do you seek the same as they do?" It would ask, an almost grin-like expression grew on its shadowy face. "Nar'zuul, a pleasure to meet you. Lost or forgotten, you are as you are. Strong and mighty in the face of defeat, but yet you stand proudly. What say you now, Nar'zuul? Willing to offer yours to an old hand?" It would inquire curiously.
Nar’zuul had something of a similar dealings with a mighty being once but this one seemed to different. Off in a way. His words were filled with praise and trust yet his instincts were telling him that something was wrong but if the others were wanting this creatures help, then who was to deny the others the request. "I am not entirely sure of your intentions my friend... You give praise quick but I can not judge you solely on how you wish to asses me. My friend Taz wishes for your aid and since my Overseer values his words, then I too must ask the same of you... if it not be to much trouble." He says as he extends a hand out to meet Zuljaraal's own.
As their hands met there would be a sudden realization - It was warm, like the hand of another, and it would feel like actual flesh and bone he was grabbing onto. "Ah, do not worry, in the end, we all seek the same thing." The being would say, then as their hands would part, Nar'zuul would see a small marking on the palm of his hand. It appeared to be a bleeding heart within a skeletal hand, eyes surrounding it all. "The Lost watch over you, Little One. You know - If you never tell them, they may never know." The being said, laughter echoing around them, and then it would dissolve into the ground around them, crossing between their feet. In time, the darkness would begin to grow lighter. However, it was still dark. No longer did a hand reach out, and no longer did the shadows stare back. It was simply a dark night. The stars above, and the two moons seen clearly in the sky.

Hakkar the Soulflayer, the Blood God, is a malevolent and destructive loa notably worshipped by the Gurubashi trolls, and known in the troll pantheon as the Loa of Blood. He at one point controlled the Gurubashi Empire's fallen capital of Zul'Gurub. Hakkar the Soulflayer was the final boss of the Zul'Gurub raid until it was removed with patch 4.0.3a and Zul'Gurub was turned into an ordinary subzone of Northern Stranglethorn. Though the world believed Hakkar to be dead, there were rumors that the god might return one day. These ultimately proved true, when the troll Jin'do brought back his spirit in order to drain the blood god's powers into himself. Hakkar's blood is very potent. A small amount of his blood obtained by Jammal'an the Prophet was injected into green dragons to use their bodies to produce the massive quantities of blood necessary to summon Hakkar into the world through a dark ritual that was thwarted by a group of heroic Alliance adventurers assaulting the temple. Farmed like livestock, the evil that grew within them was then harvested. Hakkar's blood had devastating effects on the dragons. These former jailors of the Atal'ai were corrupted by its presence in their bodies and became creatures of Nightmare. Even Eranikus, one of the greatest green dragons, infused with the largest quantities of blood, became twisted beyond imagination. https://www.instagram.com/p/BtkX9MHlV-K/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1n39ykwzf7318

Jammal'an is the current leader of the Atal'ai, the extremist sect of priests who fanatically worship Hakkar. While in deep meditation, Jammal'an received instructions on how to resurrect Hakkar by using the blood of his draconic foes, the green dragonflight. Jammal'an and his undead bodyguard Ogom the Wretched stand ready to oppose any who would prevent Hakkar's return, though the prophet's actions may unleash upon Azeroth an even more terrible force: the Emerald Nightmare.

Ok so,
These sketches are a few weeks old. Just some ideas on what those Atal’ai tattoos I’ve put in my guy’s TRP would look like. I am yet to decide what do I want them to actually look like.
