Most likely he would’ve not, simply because their situation led him to the whole idea. As they started it they’ve discovered more of that spark and chemistry. There are many parts in the story that gives more attention to this topic, I tried to point out how all of this is pretty much new and none of them thought they would ever do this! Plus their deal didn’t started with sex. They didn’t really have to go all the way in hahah!
