would you ever share photos of your grimoire? i saw your post about it having annotations/a bibliography and it sounds super interesting! - @thevirginwitch
My current massive grimoire is in a word document [with the very eventual goal of maybe getting it printed as a handbook I can reference on the go], so I can share screenshots of it no problem!
My bibliography is cited in the harvard method [it's the one I'm most familiar with from my university days] - this is just a part of it since it's currently several pages long.
I also have in-text citations for anything that isn't my own personal gnosis, so far this is mostly limited to my flora section [plants, shrubs, trees, etc]
Most of the reason I like citing & having a bibliography is because then I can keep track of what I've read + what's come from where if it's not from my own experiences.
I also have citations + references for the handful of charms I've used directly from folkloric or historical sources, to distinguish them from my home-made charms :-)

11: What deity do you think your taste in music best represents, regardless of who you worship?
this has been sat in my inbox for a while and I honestly have no idea for all of my taste. I cannot think of a deity that'd enjoy techno/breakcore/etc, but with my folk music I can sure see Bucca or similar nature-based deities. I am biased to think that japanese jazz - especially Hako Yamasaki, suits babalon + similar delightful women of the night types

I really don't understand why that person can't understand that saying people who have personality disorders (general or specific) are inherently bad people by using language about those diagnosed in saying someone is a bad person because of those tendencies is harmful to actual people with those diagnoses and is mischaracterizing and continuing to spread the stigma against those mental health struggles and people viewing them as evil for struggling with a disorder. It's not my fault I have a personality disorder and I'm not a bad person for that. Just accept you made a mistake and apologize and move on... (I'm just upset and they don't have anon asks on so I'm venting.)
It's fucking baffling to be honest! I also have a PD & some other shenanigans going on with my brain and it's incredibly disheartening that someone whose posited herself as a big ally to disabled people & indeed a neurodivergent person herself has elected to continue to be so blatantly ableist and cruel.
NOBODY is a bad person for having a personality disorder, of any kind, and nobody should feel ashamed for that. It's not an evil thing, a bad thing, or means that you, I, and anyone else with a PD is defective or cruel in any way. It's frankly very telling that she's so disdainful of a personality disorder diagnosis.

genuine question - when you say 'minors maybe don't follow me'(paraphrased) is that a suggestion or a boundary? because I'ma minor and would like to follow you, but i also don't want to break your boundaries.
My pinned post needs to be Way Overhauled but it's a suggestion - I assume any minors/under 18s on tumblr have blacklisted the usual nudity tags (and at this point in my blog, all nudity is reblogged to a devotional blog vs this one) so it's up to your own good judgement.

Do you know if Breton polytheism is a closed practice?
Honestly could not tell you, but I think probably not? Specific region family/folk traditions might not be accessible for random people & elements might be landlocked/regionlocked. I assume it's similar to the various branches of Slavic paganism where finding reliable information & history in English can be a nightmare because of France.

the high priestess: whats your favourite bit of witchy knowledge or your favourite bit to research?
I really, really love researching folk uses for plants. Both via books and local pamphlets (which are invaluable - so much folk knowledge is stored in the annals of archives & libraries in old pamphlets from dead presses) and via spirit work with the plants themselves.
the hierophant: is there a set of rules you go by in your craft?
I tend as a rule to be concious and aware of what sources the books I read on practice draw from, I do not appropriate from closed practices within my craft, and I have a strict rule of do not pollute or leave rubbish in the environment - no matter how magical it might be to me. I also honour what should be kept to myself and what should be shared when I engage with spirits, never overextend myself, always bring a gift, and always ask before taking & say please and thank you.
the chariot: how'd you choose your current path/craft practices?
The kernow part of my path is kind of a no brainer for me. Love the landscape I live in! And that landscape is part of Kernow. Everything came along with that - prehistoric recon because of the landscape being home to megaliths of all ages including neolithic, spiritwork & mediation because I'm too chatty for my own good, charming because keeping my hands busy makes me feel good, engaging with almost exclusively animal or plant spirits because i get along better with other nonhuman people. It wasnt all entirely conscious decisions, but more the cumulation of a long time of being up to mischief.
