Today, we would like to express our deep gratitude to Johannes Ehemann, whose unique artworks have inspired our latest collection of silk scarves. It was an extraordinary experience to attend the vernissage at the City Gallery of Wetzlar and personally witness the works of this talented artist.

Johannes Ehemann's creative process is fascinating: he begins with photographs of authentic everyday situations or individuals. He then prints these photos on glossy paper, only to crumple them afterward. This unique random method results in each work possessing its own individual characteristic. Next, he transfers the motif onto wood and shapes the board through milling to adapt the forms. The result is oversized, realistic, and colorful paintings that captivate and enchant.

For us at Tie Solution GmbH, it was both a challenge and a pleasure to interpret and convey this fascinating art in the form of our silk scarves. Each scarf in the Johannes Ehemann Limited Edition carries the essence of his works, inspiring through colors, shapes, and expression.

The exhibition runs until Sunday, April 26th, at the City Gallery of Wetzlar located in the Kulturhaus (Bahnhofstraße 6 in Wetzlar). We warmly invite you to experience these unique artworks firsthand. A visit is definitely worthwhile, and we are certain that you will be as enthralled by Johannes Ehemann's works as we are.

Portrait of art connoisseur Lincoln Kirstein (1907-1996). Kirstein is well-known as co-founder of the New York City Ballet, together with George Balanchine. He's also one of the so-called Monuments Men who, after WWII, tried to rescue countless European artworks that were hidden in Germany and Austria. Kirstein was a good friend of artists like George Platt Lynes, Glenway Wescott and Paul Cadmus (he even married the latter's sister) and had many long-term affairs with dancers and other artists.
