In light of the mass shootings we thought it was important to inform the public on the role prisoners can play in muting mass shootings. Prisoners must navigate a complex world of guards, gangs, and racial ties. Living in such proximity, there are bound to be disagreements. The key, is to keep individual disputes from turning into broader disputes of affiliates, associates, and race. Everybody by now knows America houses its homeless and mentally ill in its prisons. So there is no personality to the perpetrator of these mass shootings an American prisoner has not seen. "No More Massacres" is a poem written by Daryl Burnside. Inspired by the Parkland school shooting in 2018, and other school shootings that preceded it. Burnside was a 16-year-old juvenile when he came to adult prison. The artwork was done by the world's most prolific prison-artist, Donald "C-Note" Hooker, at the request of Burnside who wanted cover art to go with his poem.
