i don’t know if it’s been done before, but I remember a post you did where you summarized each sovereignstuck player in a sentence or two, you also mentioned their ancestors I think, I was wondering if you could do the same for them?

ARGEBI KROMAB: Godless RPF Writer who makes her time spent on AO3 almost her entire personality as a Coping Mechanism for the fact that she sucks. Trying her best.

MESERI COVNUL: Error 403.

KHANDA MORAGE: Imagine an Abridged version of Jigsaw from the Saw Franchise who is a gay wizard and a Cognitohazard on purpose.

ARSINE SARGAS: War criminal. (Derogatory.)

OCHOSI STOLAR: Daredevil with more explosive energy than a coked up Siberian Husky.

DULVYX ERRATA: Self-identified “Empath” who plans on making that literally everyone else’s problem.

ATRISA ALRIUM: Picture, for a moment, a stereotypical High School Mean Girl, except she had a redemption arc, is nice now, and is still a slut. (Affectionate.)

The time for domestic fluff is over. You are placed in a colosseum with the sovstuck cast. Which ones would you like to fight or think you would succeed against?

I'm going to presume this doesn't include my OCs, because that gives me an unfair advantage. I know all of Tejuri's weaknesses and could absolutely use them. I mean I guess it doesn't really matter for Ajax, it doesn't matter that I know his weaknesses because he has a fucking flamethrower. I don't care whether flamethrowers are actually an effective weapon or not I'm not gonna be on the other end of that fucking thing.

Cronus I'd WANT to fight, but I don't know if I can beat him. A hit from a harpoon gun is nasty, I think that might kill me. I still want to punch his stupid face at least once though, and even if I get harpooned maybe with enough adrenaline I can drag him to hell with me.

Arsine... I am aware she could absolutely kill me. That is, by all accounts, the most likely outcome. However, I have a strategy, I've thought about this situation before. First off, she's a Mage of Mind; I'm a Rogue of Mind. Presuming we are in the same reality in this scenario, and my classpect applies, I can take advantage of that. If her ability comes from Mind and I can steal Mind, that gives me an advantage.

Second off, even if I have a plan beforehand, I need to go in empty-brained or she'll use it against me. Luckily I'm good at this, I always forget everything I planned the moment I'm thrown in a situation. Then, I need to be unpredictable. This is the hardest part. But I think with enough adrenaline and desire to kill her, I think I could manage that. It's not a likely victory but it would be cathartic

Heya!! This question is so fun so thanks for sending!

Most of the crew is pretty unanimous with our opinions, and I'm much of the same, but it's a fun hypothetical! so here we go,

WARNING: LONG AS HELL

[PLAYERS]

[ Cynical Itinerant - Cytin - Tintin ] Abso. Cool-o-rama Over Here. Would absolutely love to be a roomate with this dude! Learning how to say shit in Latin would be FUN.

[ Dynama Zarrow ] Nope. Either the religious talk would drive me stir crazy or I'd drive them stir crazy with the fact that I make several jokes About God, and various other things.

[ Tejuri Kromab ] Hell yeah! Granted our Southern-Hospitality might collide a bit, but not in anyway negative! I'd be interested in what she's writing just out of pure curiosity. I am sharing some sweet tea with her.

[ Presae Covnul ] Split. Doesn't know half of the electrical appliances I'd be using, and would probably tear them apart. But otherwise seems like a pretty chill roomie! Would make a mean soup that would cure me of all diseases.

[ Pardus Rubato ] Split. Would probably blare the music she's working on at 2 am. While the music in itself is impressive, but I'd be tormented with unwarranted AMV's every time I take my headphones off. But I must also consider that, 1. is kitty 2. PARKOUR.

[ Retris Morage ] Wouldn't Mind! Having a decent place wouldn't be out of the question, and a pretty nice guy once you befriend him! Probably would pester him with too many questions though given his knowledge.

[ Ajax Barrett ] I don't see why not! Watching shitty or good movies sounds like an absolute TIME with him, plus I'd like to take him to a rage room and absolutely Wail on a TV.

[ Emeric Sargas ] Split. We'd need an entirely separate ventilated room so I don't get attacked by fumes that could kill me, but otherwise would be a fun roomie! I think they'd be interesting to talk to, even if my brain would get melted a little. But I'm pretty sure it's already halfway there on it's own.

[ Kausat Stolar ] ...Split, but leaning on yes. Got the same interest of Weird Houses. Although he takes it a bit more... Seriously then I do. Would absolutely not go with them on a Abandoned House exploration, but would absolutely make him Worse by showing him the game "ANATOMY".

[ Tomiei Aerras ] Eeeehhhh...... No. She's hilarious, no doubt, but Hardcore Tiktok People scare me.

[ Annomi Errata ] Absolutely not. I think I'd knock him out cold out of pure reflex if he even breathed at me wrong.

[ Pleome Alrium ] 100% Yes. Sweet guy!! Cool Hobbies!! Beach trips sounds like an absolute Blast with this guy!! What more could you want!

[NPCS]

[ Inaniloquent Commander - Inaco ] Split, leaning on no. On one hand, the garden would FLORISH. On the other, no leniency on rules would probably jack up my anxiety real bad.

[ Argebi Kromab ] Unsure... I'm sure she's wonderful, and the package deal with Khanda doesn't bother me too much, but it's a living situation where it'd drift more into "You do your thing, and I do mine". Can't really say for sure why!

[ Meseri Covnul ] No, but for my own safety & sanity. I'd like to keep my skeleton, thank you.

[ Khanda Morage ] Split. He'd tell me something Entirely Untrue, and the worst part is that I might believe him if I have no knowledge of the subject in the first place. Would be embarrassing in the long run. But, is hilarious, and probably plays a mean DND game.

[ Arsine Sargas ] Running so so far away. She'd get a wiff of my brainworms and use them to her advantage. No thanks. + The apartment would smell like wet cigarettes' 24/7.

[ Ochosi Stolar ] Split. High energy would probably get me pretty exhausted after a while, but in moderation would be pretty cool! Would give me near heart attacks though with the kinda stunts he's doing.

[ Dulvyx Errata ] Nope. Absolutely not. A thousand times no. Self Proclaimed "Empaths", scare me.

[ Atrisa Alrium ] HELL yes. Seems so sweet. And our grocery list would include a gallon of Women Respecting Juice. I wouldn't allow myself to get dragged to a bar, but small socialization events would be healthy for me I think!

I'll be answering your question under the cut, because the formatting really does make this quite long... It's the best approach I could think of!! Hope you do not mind!!

Some characters that are not mentioned are considered a group effort, of sorts!! On top of that, there are a couple that we just juggle around, and sometimes characters will change hands... Sometimes that's temporary, sometimes it isn't. It's all based on who has the muse for what- it just works better like that!! Hello again! I wanted to ask about the Ancestors. Not the canon homestuck Ancestors, mind you, I mean… the Ancestors. What about them? Are they even important? What are their classpects? I’d love to hear about them. Please.

(I know think one’s a Knight of Hope, right? I mean those Ancestors, in case it wasn’t clear. And thank you, by the way.)

Ohhh, fun question!! More than happy to answer!! Your memory serves you correctly- there is in fact a Knight of Hope!

Fun Fact: Not all of The Ancestors in Sovereignstuck are present as NPCs! This is due to how and why they’re present in the first place- they exist not through Dream Bubbles, but as… Well, NPC figures on various Player characters’s Lands!

They’re there because they failed their session with flying colors- they lost Hope in their session enough to just give up. They’re essentially stuck in the game- being in the Player session purely because their own session’s servers shut down around them. The game’s AI liked them, despite their catastrophic failure, and decided to “reuse” them as NPCs, like a real DM would. The reason a handful of them aren’t present is because they died prior to the Server Shutdown. Those not present for the game are represented by stand-ins. Sometimes these stand-ins are Consorts, sometimes they’re something else.

The Ancestors are, in fact, actually important to the plot. This can be good… And really bad. They suffer from the same Death Brainrot that the canon Dancestors had. So, imagine the Dancestors… But plot important, and some of them have Command Centers similar to The Exiles. You know… Direct narrative-controlling devices? Ones that plant thoughts, ideas, actions, and plot points directly into other character’s minds? Yeah.

Anyways, here’s the list of Ancestors/NPCs that are present in their original state in the plot:

Are there any sovereignstuck original characters that just suck that you could talk about? I don’t mean “aww this character sucks <333” I mean “wow I’d push you down the stairs” kind of sucks. A real shit-for-brains. A straight up unlovable jerk perhaps. I don’t know, this is probably a weird question but I like seeing how fanventures handle these types. You know?

We’ve got a few, actually!

I don’t think this is a weird question, don’t worry! It’s a pretty valid inquiry! That said… We do try to make our characters that are awful people enjoyable to watch, in one way or the other! Who knows, you might end up liking some of these guys!

I will say, it’s a pretty subjective role to take! Some people won’t be able to stand them, others might like them, it really depends on your tolerance levels and how you end up viewing them!

Straight up, though, I’m giving them this title because all three of them are genuinely bad people in different ways. Unspecified abuse is involved in an unspecified number of them. I can’t go too far into it, but it’s not great. Absolutely necessary for plot, but not palatable. It’s not supposed to be palatable, though- it is abuse after all.
