Remembering My Mother - 32” x 38” This was begun last spring as a demonstration for my Improvisational Stitching workshop, and then continued to evolve over the summer into the fall. It came with me to Africa and later to Egypt and Jordan. In December I decided it was finished but couldn’t bring myself to float it on a frame, so it remained on my design wall and every day I’d walk by and mutter to myself - it’s finished, it’s finished. Then, during my Stitching Safari workshop and as I was discussing design layout and design elements I realized it wasn’t finished.
