I had a great time at the local convention. I’m happy to announce that me and @thistlesandstories won the cosplay contest as the absolute winner, we earned awesome rewards and most importantly we really had fun and I am very grateful to @the-symphony-of-lydia-brown for helping us coming up with the presentation ideas an turned it into an entertaining spectacle.

This is our team. We are proud of ourselves

Both of the costumes are original designs made by us. We used multiple artworks and historical clothing references. I wrote more on it here

Here's the Dan chibi. I didn't want to give him the eclipse shirt as I feel that design has been done to death.

I gave him a lace shirt over the spiderweb top, ripped jeans and his black shoes with white soles.

Here's a pic of both dolls together.

And a better angle. I was trying to think of a tiny prop for them to hold and I'll probably just make them a macbook each.

These will now join my other handmade dolls on the shelf. Next to Morpheus, Bulbasaur R2D2 and Robot Jareth.

Being a dollmaker is actually really calming. (^_^)

In other news, I accidentally burnt the fingers on my left hand while trying to make a cup of tea. I was trying to catch a falling hot teabag. I should have just let it fall on the floor, so now I can't hold a pencil properly. Fabulous!

This one was completed in March 22. It took two months to stitch. The client wanted small stitches, so that takes longer to complete, especially for such a large canvas.
